Things to do in Waimea

Kapaa, located on the shore of East Harbor, is the second largest town on the island, with many hotels, restaurants and tropical shopping malls. Local handicrafts include shell garlands, hand-sewn pillows and acacia gourd trees.

Hanapepe Swinging Bridge is a suspension bridge located in Hanapepe, Kauai, spanning the Hanapepe River and connecting the two sides of the town. This suspension bridge is made of wood and has a long history. It is said to have existed for more than 100 years. Walking on the bridge is a unique sightseeing experience. You can enjoy the magnificent scenery around and hear the gurgling sound of the river. Walking on the bridge, even if you walk lightly, you will feel the bridge shaking involuntarily and hear the creaking sound of the wood, which is really a bit exciting.

You can climb up and see far into the distance. The valley is very quiet and beautiful.
