Yehe Nara Ancient City attraction was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction in 2014. The current Yehe Nara Ancient City was rebuilt in 1994, covering an area of 145,000 m² with a construction area of 14,000 m². It is located at the site of the capital of the Yehe tribe, the ancestors of the Manchu people in the Ming Dynasty, now in the Dongshan area of Zhuan Mountain Lake, Yehe Manchu Town, Tiedong District, Siping City, a national historical and cultural town. The overall architecture features the style of an ancient castle and the view of a mirage, making it a tourist area that combines historical and cultural views with natural scenery. The core attraction features Qing dynasty-style architecture with gray bricks and tiles. Construction began in 1994 and was completed in 1995. It served as a filming location for the TV series Princess Yehenara. The attraction includes towering arrow towers, massive city walls, and majestic corner towers, housing exhibits such as the Yehe tribal history hall, Nalan Xingde's poetry garden, empress hall, Manchu traditional costume gallery, Manchu folk art museum, 7D cinema, and the five-corner pavilion. The attraction systematically showcases the historical culture of the Yehe tribe, Nalan culture, empress culture, costume culture, and folk traditions. Ascending the five-corner pavilion offers panoramic views of the Zhuan Shan Lake's scenery, while strolling along the walls reveals the surrounding natural beauty and seasonal landscapes. The lakeside wooden boardwalk extends into flower fields, with picturesque views, birdsong, floral fragrances, and fresh air, creating a serene retreat akin to a hidden paradise. Yehe boasts a long history, anciently known as the "Yehe State" and recognized as one of the important cradles of the Manchu people. It is also the place of birth of Empress Xiaoci, the mother of Emperor Huangtaiji in the early Qing Dynasty, as well as the ancestral home of Empress Dowager Cixi and Empress Dowager Longyu in the late Qing Dynasty. Renowned as the "hometown of three generations of empresses," Yehe preserves the ruins of three ancient cities within its territory: the East City, the West City, and the Shangjian (Jian) Government City. These sites are designated as national key cultural relics protection units. The overall architecture exudes an antique charm with distinctive ethnic characteristics, reviving the historical grandeur of the Yehe Nara clan. Yehe Nara Ancient City is nestled by the picturesque Zhuanshan Lake, surrounded by undulating mountains, verdant pines, and willow-shaded paths. The lake meanders in an "S" shape around the hills, its shimmering waters dotted with boats gliding past flower rocks, through gorges, and around the ancient city—a scene straight out of a fairyland. Natural views like "Two turtles locking the lake" and "Turtle carrying the city" are utterly captivating.Siping · 31.2 km from Xifeng

The area north of Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain is known as the North attraction of Changbai Mountain. There are more attractions here than on the West Slope and South Slope, but there are also more visitors.attractionThe Changbai Mountain Waterfall, Julong Spring, and Valley Forest are all classic geological wonders. You can also take a shuttle bus to experience the rapid curves and then overlook the beautiful scenery of Changbai Mountain Tianchi from the steep main peak. Upon entering the attraction, you must first take an eco-friendly bus to the transfer center. From there, you can choose to take the shuttle bus on the left-hand road to view the main peak and Changbai Mountain Tianchi Lake, or take the eco-friendly bus on the right-hand road to view Changbai Waterfall. If the weather is good in the morning, you can go up to the main peak first when there are fewer visitors and take the shuttle bus (usually a Mercedes-Benz van, 20 minutes one-way) to experience the thrill of continuously and rapidly navigating the curves on the winding mountain road. After getting off the shuttle bus, it's about a ten-minute walk uphill to the top. There are two routes, A and B, with signs indicating them. Usually, you take route A to the top and then continue on route B to descend, avoiding backtracking. If time is limited, you can complete route A and then descend directly via the steps between the two routes. Take the eco-friendly bus from the transfer center directly to the waterfall parking lot (10 minutes one-way). Walk up the boardwalk for a short distance to see Julong Spring and Changbai Waterfall. That waterfall is the outlet of Tianchi Lake, and its 68-meter drop is truly spectacular. The hot spring plaza here sells uniquely flavored hot spring eggs, which you can try. You can also wash your hands in the nearby hot spring pool and experience the volcanic hot spring. It's a five-minute drive from the waterfall parking lot by eco-bus.Little Heavenly Lake,Little Heavenly LakeIt's a tranquil little lake, its surface reflecting the elegant forms of the trees. After lingering for a few minutes, you can return along the boardwalk, where you can see the Erdao Baihe River flowing through the narrow canyon. After about 15 minutes of walking, you'll reach the entrance to Green Abyss Pool. There's a large restaurant called Lanjing Fast Food here that offers lunch; it's located within the attraction, but the prices are relatively high. Green Abyss Pool is a pool of emerald green water, with a waterfall cascading down the cliff on one side. On the way back along the boardwalk after visiting Green Abyss Pool, you'll see Jade Spring. From the parking lot in front of Blue View Fast Food, it's a five-minute drive to...Entrance to the Valley ForestStrolling along the boardwalk through the primeval forest is very pleasant. At the end, you can overlook the forest that sinks into the valley, but you cannot go down to the bottom of the valley at present. The valley forest is the closest scenic spot to the mountain gate. It is about a 40-minute drive from the attraction.Erdaobaihe TownIt's a major tourist hub, with various hotels, shops, restaurants, and bars, all reasonably priced. If you have some free time, you can visit the Changbai Mountain Natural History Museum in town, or watch a traditional folk opera performance at the Northeast Wind Changbai Mountain Grand Theatre. The scenic spots near my hometown have great air quality and are cool in the mountains. I saw a small snake while hiking, which terrified me. There's a swing area near the entrance that's very comfortable to sit on, and it's not crowded.

I had long heard of the Shenyang Palace Museum and always wanted to visit it. Finally, I had the opportunity to come here. I queued up to enter the palace and slowly browsed through the various halls with the crowd. I felt the weight and vicissitudes of history. The palace remains, but the people come and go. The world changes, and everything has changed.

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

I was truly healed by the forest oxygen bar in this city. ✅ Goddess Square: The main landmark, with a musical fountain show on the hour ⛲️ ✅ Reservoir Dam: The best viewing spot around the lake, a filming location for the movie "The World," absolutely stunning at sunset. ✅ Black Pine Forest: Tall, straight black pines reaching for the sky; a short walk along the wooden boardwalk after getting off the bus creates great photo opportunities. The park is very large; I didn't get to explore the whole thing.

Changbai Mountain, true to its name, is incredibly clean! The restrooms in all areas were spotless, with sensor-activated flushes and hot water for handwashing – a truly touching experience for an autumn/winter trip. The restrooms had different themes, such as sables and black bears, adding a touch of vibrancy. We arrived a little late; most of the leaves had fallen, and it was the dry season, so the waterfalls weren't at their most beautiful. The small Tianchi Lake wasn't worth visiting yet; it's small, the water quality is so-so, and the surrounding forests are bare. Overall, the autumn air was crisp and clear. The 50-kilometer stretch from the distribution center to the transfer center was beautiful, vibrant with color, and Tianchi Lake was stunning. I especially loved the forest at the bottom of the valley; the pine scent was wonderful! I highly recommend walking to the end; there are vast, fairytale-like forests there, and we were lucky enough to encounter foxes and quite a few chipmunks along the way!

The newly opened hotel was clean, had good service, and a plentiful breakfast. The hotel's location was also very convenient, just ten minutes from the mountain gate and the train station, with a shuttle bus available. The Meiren Pine Park was right across the street, and there was a food street behind the hotel. It was also very close by taxi to the Shidai Fried Chicken and Lianyu Soup Rice commercial street. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

I regretfully missed the snow cake monkey show during the day, but a quiet stroll through the park still had its own charm. I wandered around leisurely, getting up close to the animals and encountering several rare creatures. The autumn breeze in Northeast China was so refreshing; it instantly relieved all work stress, a brief moment of healing.

Overall, it's pretty good. Once you get there, you can rent a car. I didn't know how to drive at first, but with my years of driving experience, I learned quickly. This saves energy. You can download an app, locate yourself, and check out the attractions and waiting times. Boys might like the Dinosaur Extinction attraction, as well as some thrilling rides. Some attractions require separate fees, such as the Ice and Snow World and the Petting Zoo!
