Xinchang grand Buddha temple cultural tourism area is located in Nanming street, Xinchang county, Shaoxing city, Zhejiang province. The grand Buddha temple was first built in the Eastern Jin dynasty, featuring grotto statues with grand scale and long history. Among them is a stone Maitreya Buddha with a history of over 1,500 years, standing 16.3 m tall with a knee span of 10.6 m. It is an early grotto statue in southern China, praised as the "Dunhuang of Yue state". Liu Xie, a literary critic of the Southern dynasties, acclaimed it as "a treasure beyond compare, an unparalleled achievement". In 1983, Xinchang grand Buddha temple was designated as a national key open monastery by the State Council. In 2006, it was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang province. In 2013, the stone Maitreya statue and Thousand-Buddha rock carvings of the grand Buddha temple became national key cultural relic protection units. The grand Buddha temple cultural tourism area is a large-scale, multifunctional, and comprehensive national 4A-level tourist attraction integrating sightseeing, leisure vacation, grotto appreciation, folk experience, and geological science education. It holds multiple honorary titles including national scenic spot, national geopark, national key cultural relic protection unit, national key open monastery, and CCTV film and television shooting base.Xinchang · 1.1 km from downtown

Xinchang Nineteen Peaks is located in the southwest of Xinchang County, between Chengtan Creek and Hanfei Creek. It consists of three sub-scenic areas: Nineteen Peaks, Qianzhang Valley, and Chongyang Palace. The natural scenery here is outstanding with its Danxia landform. The Qianzhang Valley is also the filming location for martial arts dramas such as CCTV's "The Swordsman" and "The Legend of the Condor Heroes". Martial arts lovers should not miss it. The three sub-scenic areas are adjacent and connected by roads. There are two entrances. The main entrance is in Yazhuang Village near Jiufeng. It can be easily reached by driving from the Xinpan Line of the County Road. There are also urban and rural buses passing by. After getting off, you can cross the bridge and walk 300 meters to the scenic parking lot. The other entrance is on the side of the main entrance of Qianzhang Yougu Scenic Area, which is convenient for self-driving, but there is no shuttle bus. Most tourists go up the mountain from Yazhuang Village. The most worth seeing is the Nineteenth Peak. Although you need to climb the mountain, the mountain is not high. It is not a problem for most people to walk more slowly. To go to Qianzhang Valley alone, you can take a bus to the bridgehead of Chongyang Palace and walk for about 20 minutes (you will pass through a 600-meter tunnel during the process), or you can visit Chongyang Palace together. Qianzhang Valley is at the foot of the mountain. It is basically a flat road and can be visited in about two hours, which is relatively easy. Many tourists will directly buy a combined ticket and spend a day going from the Nineteenth Peak to the Qianzhang Valley and finally visit the Chongyang Palace, or vice versa, without looking back. There are nineteen abrupt peaks with gorgeous shapes and colors distributed in the Nineteen Peaks, such as incense burners, cable boats, saddles, etc. Walking through these narrow peaks, although not as good as the view of the mountains at the bottom, it still has its own unique experience of soaring in the clouds and riding the mist. Wonderland feeling. It takes about 40 minutes to walk from the bottom of the mountain to Jiangjunyan (Bride Peak). From there, you can go to the right to reach the highest Wanghai Peak (about 400 meters above sea level). Wanghai Peak has a nearly 70-degree linear sky ladder, although the steps are less than 100 steps. , there are armrests to assist, but it also makes people breathless. To the left of Jiangjun Rock, you can go to Ma'an Peak. From the small pavilion on the top of the peak, you can look at the confluence of the two rivers at the bottom of the mountain. The fields of different colors in the distance are like colorful flat paintings. The cliffs at the foot are steep and the mountains on the left and right are rugged. It is the most beautiful place on the Nineteenth Peak. Classic landscape. The rock cave on the mountainside of Ma'anfeng is a naturally formed hall with a height of one person. In front of the cave, there is a pavilion built halfway up the mountain, where you can also enjoy the scenery. Continuing from Ma'an Peak, there are Lanchuan Peak and Xianglu Peak. You can view them from a distance, or you can follow the path to the top of Lanchuan Peak and return. On the way back, you can go down the mountain the same way, or you can choose the branch road leading to Qianzhang Valley, walk across the small wooden bridge, and enter Qianzhang Valley Scenic Area. The Qianzhang Valley can be visited in about an hour or two. There are bamboo forests, streams, and many cliffs and strange rocks. Because it is the filming location for martial arts blockbusters, there are also artificial landscapes such as the Condor Cottage and Wolong Villa in the scenic area. You can enjoy the scenery while recalling the plots of the martial arts dramas, and you will have an immersive feeling. The Chongyang Palace on the north side of Qianzhang Valley is a film and television shooting base and Taoist temple. You may encounter a film crew filming here when you visit. This place is about two or three kilometers away from Yazhuang Village. It takes half a day or a full day to visit Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks. If you need to stay here, there are a large number of farmhouses in Yazhuang Village, with a standard room priced at about 60-100 yuan. Qingyouju in Qiaotou is one of them. In addition to clean rooms, it also has local chicken, river fish and other delicacies for you to taste.Xinchang · 16.4 km from downtown

Definitely worth a visit! The largest Buddha statue in Jiangnan, with its thousand-year-old grotto sculptures, is truly breathtaking. The mountains and forests are serene and imbued with a strong sense of Zen. There are also large stone carvings of Mi Fu's "Facing the Wall" on the cliff face, which are worth a closer look. The area isn't too noisy with tourists, making it perfect for a peaceful stroll.

I bought a combined ticket for the Grand Buddha Temple and the Nineteen Peaks online in advance during the holiday. Entering was convenient – just scan the e-voucher to enter. The scenic area's environment is superb, a natural oxygen bar with lush greenery. The most breathtaking sight is the largest Buddha statue in Jiangnan; getting up close truly awe-inspiring, showcasing the craftsmanship and faith of the ancients. The atmosphere of the ancient stone city and temple is very immersive. The Nineteen Peaks area features typical Danxia landforms; the nineteen peaks piercing the rock are spectacular. Climbing was a bit tiring, but the views from the top were truly exhilarating. During holidays, it gets incredibly crowded, especially the core area of the Grand Buddha Temple. Even finding a good angle for photos requires queuing. Also, the layout of the scenic area is slightly winding, and some signs are unclear, making it easy to backtrack. Overall, it's still a highly recommended weekend getaway destination for hiking and prayer.

You can drive up the mountain by yourself, 22 yuan/car/person. Warm reminder, please be a civilized tourist, don't litter and cigarette butts, don't drive as you please. When I was going up the mountain, I met a fool who was turning in the opposite direction, which made me slam on the brakes. The main road is halfway up, and the mountain road is narrow, so you must drive carefully. This trip was to go to Tianmu Mountain, and I drove from Shaoxing for an hour and a half to appreciate Li Bai's "Dreaming of Tianmu and Chanting Farewell". Standing on the Jinyin Terrace and looking into the distance, I feel infinite emotion in my heart. We young people really can't lose ourselves, and the world's pleasure is also like this. Since ancient times, everything has flowed east. When will I return after leaving you? Let the white deer go among the green cliffs, and ride to visit famous mountains if you have to go. How can I bow my head and serve the powerful and make me unhappy!

Shibadu is a 5.4-kilometer trail along the stream. It is a free scenic spot with beautiful scenery. It should be more fun to go there in summer. Each time you cross the river, you have to step on big rocks to cross, so be careful. Due to time constraints, we only walked two kilometers and returned after the ninth crossing. The whole journey was very flat, and the children walked by themselves. It was not difficult. Bring some food with you, you can eat while walking on the road. Of course, remember to take away all the garbage when you leave at the end.

Our goal this time was to see the sea of clouds, so we rushed to Xia Yanbei Village on a rainy day and stayed overnight, unexpectedly enjoying a perfect spring experience. The next morning, the valley was shrouded in mist, like a fairyland; unexpectedly, the cherry blossom paths in early April were still breathtaking, with pink and white petals dotting the mountains and fields, fresh and romantic. The entire village is pet-friendly. We strolled with our dog along the tea plantation trails, watching tea farmers pick tea, surrounded by lush greenery and the aroma of tea. The guesthouse was comfortable, the villagers were hospitable, and the opportunity to encounter the sea of clouds, cherry blossoms, and tea gardens simultaneously, while also allowing pets to roam freely, made for a relaxing and wonderful trip. It's a highly recommended hidden gem village. (Photographed on April 3rd and 4th, 2026)

The Yue Opera Town is of course in Shengzhou, the hometown of Yue Opera. The town has actually been developed for many years, and it was there when the town's economy was booming. However, except for the Yue Opera Museum, a theater, and a hotel, the rest are basically commercial housing, so the town is not very popular, which is a pity. With the recent resurgence of the new Yue Opera, the town has a little more tourists. The scenery of the town is still good, with a river and a mountain behind it, a good place to relax.

I bought a package ticket for 160 yuan. Entering from the Tiantaishan Waterfall Visitor Center, you can climb the main waterfall directly to your right. To your left is a free shuttle bus to Qiongtan Fairy Valley. From Qiongtan Fairy Valley, you can take an elevator directly to Huixian Bridge for 30 yuan. Returning to the visitor center from Qiongtan Fairy Valley requires a 10 yuan shuttle bus ticket. Overall, the scenery is decent. The main waterfall is even better; the water volume is enormous, and the drop is significant, making it quite spectacular.

This waterfall, with its relatively large drop, is quite rare and worth seeing. The mist spraying from below is very refreshing, and the thunderous sound is quite impressive. Don't miss the boardwalk along the mountain behind the waterfall area.

It is rare to see an uncongested tourist attraction during the holidays. Although the weather is hot, it cannot stop the family's enthusiasm for sightseeing. It is suitable for bringing children and the elderly to take a walk. There are also homestays where you can stay for a night to experience it.

The Feilong Plank Road was built according to the mountain terrain, winding around more than 20 valleys. Among them, 128 meters is a glass suspended plank road, which is stunning and exciting. The cable bridge connects Taitou Mountain and Laochuanyan Scenic Area, and the cable bridge is also very thrilling.
