The location is great, the hotel does not have its own parking lot, but the underground parking lot of the big shopping center is opposite, 24 hours 12 pounds, very convenient. The hotel staff are very friendly, the kitchen master is also great, the ingredients are very fresh, we all go back to the hotel to order. Come back next time and stay here š
The hotel is very close to train station and the palace. The room was bigger than I imagined. The breakfast was nice.
We had one hicup at the checkin as the staff including their booking center couldn't find my booking. Not quite sure whether it was the false of the hotel or Trip.com.
Staff was nice, he suggested us places to go.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the center of Reading. It's incredibly convenient, with shops, department stores, restaurants, cafes, and Reading train station all within walking distance. The hotel's decor is outstanding, and the facilities are brand new. The staff are very friendly and polite. However, a downside is that the hotel doesn't have a lift, and the staircases are quite narrow. If you have large luggage, it would be better to choose a room on a lower floor.
Spacious rooms with good amenities within historically beautiful buildings with sympathetic extensions. Massive car park and quite rooms. Very responsive and interactive staff ensuring a positive experience at anytime (we arrived at 10:30 pm). In house breakfast has superior taste and the Chef has excellent mastery of the Classic English Breakfast.
The lodge is a great location if you are going to the racecourse. We arrived at around 1:30 as the first race was at 2:30 and was told that if we wanted to check in early we would have to pay a fee of £20. When the races often start at around 2-2:30 this seemed unreasonable. I had to come out of he racecourse between races to check
In. Iāve stayed at the Lingfield racecourse hotel and they checked us in 12:30 as our room was ready. Went for breakfast at around 7:50 and there was no menus out, the staff seemed totally disorganised. There was no instructions on how to order food. The continental āhelp yourselfā was ok but had very little fruit options. They did have alpro soya and oat milk as milk alternatives. The room was clean and tidy but very basic. It did have a free standing fan which was good in the warm weather. The bad was big and comfortable. The shower was nice and had shower gel. The customer service let it down a little.
The main advantage is its proximity to Terminal 5, though you'll need to take an airport shuttle, which takes about ten minutes. It's clean and tidy, and the room isn't small. The breakfast is a huge plus, perfect for catching an early flight afterwards. Perhaps because of its affordable price, it seems to have a high occupancy rate, as checking in took a bit longer.
Very close to city center with access to food late at night. 15 minute walk to Train station. The room is tidy and bathroom is neat. However there is no amenities. I paid another 10 pounds to check in early at 12. The lift was not working at the time.
Premier Inn is always a good place to stay over, not too expensive and a really comfortable bed.

GGuest UserThe hotel's surroundings are beautiful, nestled in a residential area, so there are hardly any unruly crowds, and the locals are very nice. The hotel staff provide excellent service, and their English is fluent. The rooms are not densely packed, and the staff maintain an appropriate distance, which is appreciated. The breakfast area is clean, and while the selection is simple, the quality is high, and the fruit is fresh. I recommend trying the milk with various cereals. I look forward to visiting again.
GGuest UserAfter a long journey, from landing to clearing customs, and then struggling to find the bus stop, we were freezing while waiting for our transfer š„¶. We finally arrived at the hotel past 11 PM. The front desk staff were super friendly and helped us check in smoothly, also giving us all the details about breakfast šš½. The hotel is clean and tidy! Our room even had a heater, which was a real lifesaver for us after arriving so late and being out in the cold for so long. It felt incredibly warm and welcoming!

SScarlyThe hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and will promptly handle any issues you raise.
The hotel's decoration and furniture are outdated, and the bathroom should be renovated. The overall appearance of the hotel and the rooms are neat and clean; the surrounding environment is quiet. It takes about 12-15 minutes to drive to the city center, which is suitable for self-driving tourists. Parking is included in the room rate, saving you the trouble of paying for parking separately.
GGuest UserThe Hotel was very oldy worldy, Lovely, with lots of history. The location was beautiful and quiet an ideal spot for the wedding we attended, the old barn part of the pub was lovely for the wedding, ideal. Now the pub, food was nice in the pub although my potatoes delivered with my meal were that late that id eaten half my dinner before they came out. Staff were very accommodating and removed the additional cost of £6 for potatoes from the Bill. The Hotel sections of the establishment is now in need of a freshen up, lick of paint. For a building built in A.D 1147 i suppose you would expect it but there is maintenance needed. Cleanliness was ok but needed hoovering around the bed posts a bit closer and a few cob webs removed from the room ceiling. Other than that it was a lovely stay, couldn't thought the staff and the surrounding area, lovely walks along the Thames.
MMMESTRELLAExcellent service from the moment you step into the hotel, where you're greeted by very professional staff. The room was impeccably clean and had everything you need for your stay. The location is perfect, right in the center of Reading and just a few steps from the train station. You have shops and the museum right next door.
GGuest UserVery good in terms of location, A nice little walk to the centre but far enough out that you donāt really get the noise of the late night drinkers (sat/friday). The room was a decent size for what we paid, nice shower and bathroom small but good for the money we paid. However, the room was really really hot. We had to sleep with both windows open, AC didnāt work at all. The TV has all the normal channels and it worked perfectly. The coffee machine area downstairs was helpful however they didnt give us any cups, put any available out for people to grab or tell us that they even had any. No tea bags or little things of milk which would have been helpful. The machine does make tea however we both werent sure how useful/good it would have been. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a cheap stay in reading.
GGuest UserOn Sunday when I checked out on Sunday 6th July forget my phone ( Samsung Z Fold 4 in the room when I reached my destination I called the hotel and told them that I had forgotten my phone. The gentleman that I spoke to claimed that the phone was not there and I asked him to ask the housekeeper and he told me that there was no phone that was brought to the reception. I called on Monday and asked to speak to the manager and u was told that she is not in but promised that she will call me back. Today 8th I called the hotel there was no answer. I tried to track my phone on google and the location had been encrypted. And it shows that my phone was on on Sunday night at 1:14 am. I donāt understand how can the phone disappear in the room without trace. Kindly help me to get my phone back. I was on room 310. My contact is ***********.
GGuest UserHi we just wanted a hotel within close distance of Reading town centre on a budget. It had all that we needed but could have done with air con. The staff were very accommodating and listened to any needs of customers.
