Location Location Location. Situated between the Harbour Arm and the Old High Street, it is the perfect base. The staff are brilliant considering they are dealing with all sorts of clientele. The rooms are clean , bed is comfortable. We can recommend the BBQ pizza. Lots to see and do.

perfect in every way, location, breakfast, spacious room...especially impressed by the wonderful people working in the reception, Irina particularly makes us cyclists feel more than welcome..
This hotel in Canterbury is highly recommended. The hotel should have a history of more than 100 years. It is a family business. The house looks ancient from the outside, but it has been renovated inside. The lobby is quite modern. We booked a king-size room, which was very large. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also large. The key point is that the hotel parking lot is free. If you drive to Canterbury, I highly recommend staying here. It takes about 20 minutes to park the car and walk to the center of Canterbury. Compared with international chains, we prefer these local hotels, which are less crowded, quieter, more comfortable, and more cost-effective.
We stayed at this hotel during a family trip. The hotel made a very good impression: everything was very clean, the rooms were spacious, and the breakfast was tasty and varied. The only downside is the location — you can only get there by taxi or car. A taxi ride from Ramsgate town center cost around £20. For those traveling by car, this is not an issue. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.
Aside from a couple of issues Kelly, Caitlin and Marta meant this trip surpassed our expectations. From booking to departure nothing was too much trouble. With two young babies this makes all the difference. Spacious room, two cots, kids eat free, convenient parking. Location suited us with trips planned to Leeds castle and Port Lympne. Staff friendliness was great from all but especially Caitlin who was always on hand at dining times and helped with our girls. On site playground old but handy. Only minor issues were the early maintenance work / noise on our first morning, room servicing on first day and some confusion about late check out. All in all, highly recommend!
good experience, staff are nice, close to the shopping outlet. but I would avoid the parking cause when I come back the other day, there is milk on the window, not sure if they are from the above
This is the 4th time I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Folkestone, but the cost of this booking was hugely more than I've had to pay before. The hotel is fine, and the buffet breakfast is excellent, opening at 6am, allowing an early start on Le Shuttle.
Clean and tidy, convenient transportation, affordable, clean and tidy, convenient transportation, affordable, clean and tidy, convenient transportation, affordable, very good.
Critique professionnelle : Royal Wells Hotel

GGuest UserIt's been quite a while since i last stayed at the Kings Arms... and this trip reminded me why!
There is very little choice of Hotels in the area, and Kings Arms is centrally located in Westerham with many decent Pubs and Restaurants in close proximity.
The Hotel had undergone a lot of fairly recent External Renovation and looks amazing from the outside... maybe one day they can progress to modernising the interior.
Bar Area and Restaurant areas are absolutely fine, and you cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the Staff.
However, the journey upstairs with the threadbare carpet kinda lets you know what is instore for you inside the room.
On this most recent stay, the room itself was HUGE! I booked a deluxe Double. Massive Bed, and ample furniture.
Carpet threadbare in places and the Central Heating Radiator didn't work. A small Electric heater had been placed in the room, but due to the enormity of the size, it was inadequate to produce any real warmth in the room. Poor quality lighting.. but i thinks that made me by design!
The Bathroom was equally large, but similar to the room (and others i've stayed in previous) i suspect maybe the 1980's was the last time it had a facelift. It was adequate to take a wee, and clean my teeth.. but i could only imagine my wife's reaction to the sheer thought of taking a Bath in there!
It's such a shame really... perfect location to stay for either Business while working at Biggin Hill Airport, or for a weekend getaway with the wife.
However, if the latter... i would seriously advise to take a look across the road. You'll have a much happier wife!!
This could be an amazing hotel - but it sure does need a lot of work on the inside.

CChris J HornWhat an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away.
We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks.
We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character.
The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room.
Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening.
The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had.
The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away)
The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us.
We will definitely return.
Jjoo youn jungThe value for money is good, and the location is next to a rest area, so parking at the supermarket is convenient. It doesn't look like a 3-star hotel and the facilities are old. The reception staff were friendly.
GGuest UserWonderful location, just a stones throw from the Centre of Canterbury. Our Host was lovely, very kind and welcoming.
Breakfast was not overwhelming, very basic. It was included in the price so can't really complain.
Lots of niggles with the room though..... maintenance appears to be down on the list of the priorities sadly.
Fridge didn't work.
TV had cracked plastic frame around it. Remote didn't connect to the TV. However you could turn on the TV manually....once you'd sussed out what wasn't working first.
Bedside set of drawers had handles that kept falling off.
No sink plug in the bathroom. You had to be a contortionist to see in the bathroom mirror, it could have been better positioned on the adjacent wall.
It was also a little concerning that all the electric devices had to be plugged into just one trail board.
That being said, inspite of all the niggles, it didn't stop us from having a lovely weekend stay in Canterbury - location made up for it along with Sanjeewa's hospitality.
GGuest UserIt’s in a great location for all you want in a town. It has a cool vibe & a nice buzz.
I was welcomed warmly, but disappointed to discover at check-in my room was on the 5th floor & no lift! A disability prevents me from doing many stairs. I was offered an upgrade for an extra £20, so I paid. (In hindsight feel this is a common practice & felt a bit conned). I then found out I still had 2 flights of stairs to the first floor!! 😩
The room was spacious & tastefully decorated as you will see by the photos. A spare bed in the room, great for families. Nice coffee & tea facilities.
I found the room very cold, so told a member of staff & asked if the heating was coming on or what could they do, I never heard from anyone in response, so was very cold in the evening.
If you don’t like to be cold & lots of stairs are a problem don’t book.
If those are not a problem then it’s a characterful hotel, with a great restaurant. Just avoid being talked into an upgrade!!!
GGuest UserA good stop over for one night. Basic but clean and relatively quiet. Service station is undergoing renovation so McDonalds was closed and very little food option there. However WH Smiths sell a couple of curry type microwave dinners and there is a microwave in the main service area. Also a Costa coffee.
GGuest UserHELLO MY STAY IN ST.GEORGE HOTEL Rochester-Chatham WAS EXCELLENT.THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND VERY POLITE,I WOUILD DEFINATELY BE BACK AGAIN IN FUTURE.THE PACLE WAS VERY NEAR TO THE CHATHAM RAILWAY STATION AND ABOUT 15 MINUTES WALK TO CENTER OF ROCHESTER.I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND EVERYONE ABOUT THIS LOVELY AND FRIENDLY HOTEL.THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR MAKING MY STAY VERY MEMOREBLE.

GGuest UserGreat location, lovely walk around the lake and nearby woodlands. Staff are friendly and service is good. Rooms are outdated and could do with a lot of modernisation, unfortunately, is not even on par with some travelodges. Walls are hollow so can hear noise and voices from neighbouring rooms. Rooms are not sparkling clean, you will get what is expected of a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is just ok. Overall, if you’re looking for a stopover for the night and want to wake up to beautiful views then definitely book a room with a view and not the standard room which may end up overlooking the A2. We did however, book a lakeside room that was allocated on the second floor and the view was very nice indeed.
