The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with a modern and stylish feel throughout. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Its location right in the city centre was perfect, everything was easily accessible, making it a great choice for convenience and comfort. I would definitely stay here again.

Ibis Birmingham Airport - NEC Review The Ibis Birmingham Airport - NEC offers exactly what one would expect from an airport hotel - convenient location and comfortable accommodation. Situated perfectly for travellers using Birmingham Airport, the hotel's position couldn't be more practical. The rooms, whilst not luxurious, provided a warm and cosy environment, which was particularly welcome after a long day of travel. The accommodation was clean and maintained to a satisfactory standard, meeting the basic needs of the airport traveller. The food served at the hotel was adequate, nothing particularly remarkable but certainly passable for a short stay. The menu offered standard fare typical of what one might expect from a chain hotel restaurant. What truly stands out about this establishment is its strategic location. For those with early morning flights or late arrivals, the proximity to the airport terminals makes this Ibis an eminently practical choice. In summary, whilst the Ibis Birmingham Airport - NEC won't win any awards for luxury or fine dining, it serves its purpose admirably as an airport hotel. If you're looking for a convenient, comfortable place to rest before or after a flight, this hotel fits the bill perfectly. A sensible choice for airport accommodation.

Convenient if you are attending an hour event or conference in Birmingham ( it is way cheaper) Very basic in every way but it did for me . Birmingham is only 15 mins approx away. The hotel is being refurbished and repainted so the place does look a bit disheveled. Very basic food- evening meal and breakfast but was ok for a one night stay. I would book again because so close to Birmingham but much cheaper.

Stayed hear a few times in the past, when I’m in Birmingham, the reception staff are always helpful, breakfast is good, if you arrive at breakfast 25/30 minutes before the end some hot food is a little over cooked and some selections have run out

Great linked-up placed to stay, hope on the tram from New Street station (Grand central) and then get off at Brinley place, then it’s a skip and jump to hotel. The hotel cleaning is not to normal Travelodge standards, place needs a good deep clean. The pub across the road has some very noisy fans on its roof, you would have thought the hotel might have said something.

Very clean, modern, practical! Have a sofa for work and to watch TV together! The lounge has space for you to plug your laptop and work. These are all I needed. 10 mins walk from the city center. I will come back again for the value for money and friendly staff.

Hotel is in a great position at the top of Broad Street, greeted with a smile at reception and the room was ready early which was a bonus.  The twin room was on the 15th floor with great views over Edgbaston. The only fault was the bathroom door was very heavy and wouldn’t close. This was reported and reception did offer to move us but we had already unpacked.  The biggest disappointment was breakfast - we saw photo in the lift and it looked great especially as my daughter is dairy free. However there were no blueberries or raspberries or strawberries or blackberries and when we pointed this out the lady behind reception said it was a case of false advertising - nothing was offered as compensation so all in all very disappointed.

KK2_travel_aroundBritannia Hotel Coventry: In the 4/F hotel room the wifi is working fine, but the television may need some time to warm up and start working properly. Don't forget to bring your own toiletries. The hotel locates at the heart of the City Centre, it has reasonable price, comfortable and spacious room for 1-2 visitors, 5 minutes walk, very close to the Pool Medow Bus Station and the Coventry Trasport Museum, plus the Coventry Cathradal (address: Priory St, Coventry CV1 5AB) and its front yard is just right next door.

GGuest UserLocated in Birmingham city center, which isn't huge, so getting around is very convenient. Shopping is also easily accessible. The price was reasonable. However, the room wasn't very spacious, and the soundproofing wasn't great, perhaps due to the age of the building.

GGuest UserFirstly, the staff we encountered were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. The reception entrance was promising, being bright and modern with a very pleasant receptionist and smooth check in. However, our room lacked appeal, comfort or anything that made one wish to stay in it for longer than a night. To be fair, we were asked twice on check in, if we would like to move to a different floor. I jokingly asked if there was a problem with the room we'd been allocated but was told no. We were allocated Room 7. Whilst it appeared clean to the best the facilities allowed, it was unpleasant. The bottom of the bathroom door appeared water damaged and rotten. The sink was cracked. The radiator was rusted by urine splashes as situated beside the toilet and the shower was situated in a recess with no curtain or screen, so quickly spilled on to the floor making the bath mat soaked. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. There was no hair dryer. Only one USB point within the very small TV which only charged if it was on. Being on the ground floor, our window opened out on to the narrow walk way and one poor man walked into it on his way to reception. SatNav instructions take you to a dead end further down the road and several attempts at finding our way around the God awful roundabout eventually led us to a very small parking area at the front of the hotel. Breakfast at 9.00 pm was initially disappointing. One plate was available, no bread for the toaster, no milk for the cereals. One sausage, no beans, no bacon. More food did eventually appear, as did plates, and it was very nice. The croissants and pastries were lovely too. The coffee machine was good. As mentioned, the staff were very good and we requested an iron which was bought to us quickly with a board by a lovely young man. The bed was awful. Rock hard and not much comfort from a meagre duvet that was so thin that initially we thought it had been forgotten. Anyway, one night, cheap and basic. Served its purpose but would look elsewhere and pay more. Think we were just unlucky.

SSfrixelReally unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously. Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it. Very very very unsatisfied.

GGuest UserBirmingham Premier Inn (New Street Station) is located above the Birmingham New Street Station, next to the McDonalds. It might be a bit confusing to locate the hotel when you reached the station. After you exited from the gantry at the Birmingham New Street station, you will be able to see escalators located in front of the Tickets station. Go up the escalator and you will see a lot of shops e.g. Jo Malone, Tesco Express and restaurants such as Pho, Mrs Chew Kitchen. Once you are at the 2nd level (New Street Station), locate the Jo Malone shop. When you are outside the Jo Malone shop, you shall be able to se a clothes boutique known as Fat Face. Walk towards Fat Face and on your left, you should be able to see a walkway leading outside. Walk towards the walkway and you shall see Mini Sou on your right side. Once you are outside of the building, you will see McDonald on your right. Premier Inn hotel's entrance is just next to McDonald's entrance. Location of Birmingham Premier Inn (New Street) is fantastic. Despite there were reviewers that there might be some beggars but they did not bother me when I was there. Taxis are a bit tricky and right outside the hotel, there are tram railways and that means that most of the times, cars will generally not be around that area. If you want to get a taxi, you will need to walk to the main street where the major deparmental stores are, e.g. BullRing Birmingham. I would stay at Premier Inn again if I am in Birmingham area.
