Very clean, modern, practical! Have a sofa for work and to watch TV together! The lounge has space for you to plug your laptop and work. These are all I needed.
10 mins walk from the city center. I will come back again for the value for money and friendly staff.
The hotel was simple and clean. The room had a double and two singles as booked. The water was hot and there was plenty of it. The road was a bit noisy outside our window but no plane noise to keep us awake.
I was very disappointed that despite being an airport hotel there is no shuttle between the hotel and the departure terminal UNLESS you book car parking at car park 7 specifically.
Therefore I had to book a taxi to take me to departures at £15 one way for a 2 mile trip at 5am.
This left me a 10minute walk outside the terminal, though I could have paid drop off parking charges to get closer.
Apparently this is a new issue between the airport and Travelodge.
If I had known this at the time I would not have been so keen on the Travelodge price (which on its own was very reasonable) but needs to have a £20 supplement for travel to the airport added.
Hotel is in a great position at the top of Broad Street, greeted with a smile at reception and the room was ready early which was a bonus.
The twin room was on the 15th floor with great views over Edgbaston. The only fault was the bathroom door was very heavy and wouldn’t close. This was reported and reception did offer to move us but we had already unpacked.
The biggest disappointment was breakfast - we saw photo in the lift and it looked great especially as my daughter is dairy free. However there were no blueberries or raspberries or strawberries or blackberries and when we pointed this out the lady behind reception said it was a case of false advertising - nothing was offered as compensation so all in all very disappointed.
Aside from its slightly out-of-the-way location, everything else is great. It's less than 800 meters from the train station. The hotel facilities are excellent, and it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. The picture shows the parliament hall in the city center.
I had a very pleasant stay at B&B Hotel Birmingham. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to access the city centre, public transport, shops, and restaurants. It’s a great choice for both business and leisure travellers.
The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a good bed and all the basic amenities needed for a short or long stay. The bathroom was tidy and well maintained, and housekeeping did a good job throughout my stay.
The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The hotel also offers good value for money compared to other hotels in the area.
Overall, B&B Hotel Birmingham provides a comfortable, affordable, and hassle-free stay. I would definitely recommend it and would consider staying here again in the future.
Despite the negative reviews on Google, check-in was smooth and the receptionist was generally friendly. The cleaning staff also greeted me pleasantly inside the hotel.
Also, like all Travelodges, the sign is large, so it's easy to find.
There's a Tesco next door, so food is readily available, and the shopping mall is nearby, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding something to eat or drink.
As for the room, it was generally clean. However, there was sound leakage from above, below, and both sides, so it wasn't quiet. This can be a problem for some people and at other times, so earplugs may be necessary if it bothers you.
My only complaint was with the bathroom; the sink was closed, so the water wouldn't drain. It was a bit annoying that hand washing and toothpaste had to be left to collect, but it was within acceptable limits.
Overall, I'm satisfied!
Ibis Birmingham Airport - NEC Review
The Ibis Birmingham Airport - NEC offers exactly what one would expect from an airport hotel - convenient location and comfortable accommodation. Situated perfectly for travellers using Birmingham Airport, the hotel's position couldn't be more practical.
The rooms, whilst not luxurious, provided a warm and cosy environment, which was particularly welcome after a long day of travel. The accommodation was clean and maintained to a satisfactory standard, meeting the basic needs of the airport traveller.
The food served at the hotel was adequate, nothing particularly remarkable but certainly passable for a short stay. The menu offered standard fare typical of what one might expect from a chain hotel restaurant.
What truly stands out about this establishment is its strategic location. For those with early morning flights or late arrivals, the proximity to the airport terminals makes this Ibis an eminently practical choice.
In summary, whilst the Ibis Birmingham Airport - NEC won't win any awards for luxury or fine dining, it serves its purpose admirably as an airport hotel. If you're looking for a convenient, comfortable place to rest before or after a flight, this hotel fits the bill perfectly. A sensible choice for airport accommodation.
Booked here through trip.com for twin room. Arrived at hotel who said been booked as king room. Were very helpful and changed room and put single bed in with double as no twins left. Receptionist stated frequently have this issue with agents booking hotel.
Issue resolved easily. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean, beds comfy. Great location for NEC, BP PULSE LIVE AND AIRPORT.
Regular traveller and I always choose this hotel. Safe and clean . 24 hour desk service. Rooms are clean and spacious . Comfortable beds. TV , kettle and iron in room. Meals served up to 9pm and staff are so accommodating to your personal choices. Breakfast included in hotel charge.
Have stayed at Walsall Travelodge on several occasions. Always a comfortable stay. Lovely and friendly staff. Rooms are always clean and warm on cold days. TV in room and tea / coffee etc… Safe accommodation.

KK2_travel_aroundI arrived on Saturday afternoon and spent the evening, then left on the Sunday morning.
The WiFI is not functional in this room, which is not good.
The weather is a little bit hot but thankfully there is a fan in the room to keep the room cool at nighttime. The bed is large (big enough for two people) and the room is spacious with desk and chairs. The bathroom is obviously dated still the facilities are working just fine, the pipes seem to be a bit old so there might be some smell coming out.
There are plenty of TV channels to choose from.
You can see some buildings and the highway and the bridge outside of the window and the scenery is nothing to write home to.
I walked through the Coventry city centre to get to the hotel and the streets are interesting to look at.
Ssalaudin lunatThe check-in process was very easy. Friendly check-in staff behind the counter. Clean room. Nice location however, room was very cold (no heating although there are central heating available in the rooms. Hot shower, clean towels and beddings. Only 1 pillow. TV in room. Only 1 lift in operation.

GGuest UserExcellent stay. Breakfast great. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Close to the city centre. Would definitely stay again. We were on 16th floor. Great views.
GGuest UserHotel was nice, facilities are fine and in line with what you might expect at the price point. Breakfast can be included in the booking and there was a good selection. There's a restaurant and bar available in the evening too.
GGuest User5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.
SSfrixelReally unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously.
Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it.
Very very very unsatisfied.
GGuest UserBirmingham Premier Inn (New Street Station) is located above the Birmingham New Street Station, next to the McDonalds.
It might be a bit confusing to locate the hotel when you reached the station.
After you exited from the gantry at the Birmingham New Street station, you will be able to see escalators located in front of the Tickets station.
Go up the escalator and you will see a lot of shops e.g. Jo Malone, Tesco Express and restaurants such as Pho, Mrs Chew Kitchen.
Once you are at the 2nd level (New Street Station), locate the Jo Malone shop. When you are outside the Jo Malone shop, you shall be able to se a clothes boutique known as Fat Face. Walk towards Fat Face and on your left, you should be able to see a walkway leading outside. Walk towards the walkway and you shall see Mini Sou on your right side. Once you are outside of the building, you will see McDonald on your right. Premier Inn hotel's entrance is just next to McDonald's entrance.
Location of Birmingham Premier Inn (New Street) is fantastic. Despite there were reviewers that there might be some beggars but they did not bother me when I was there.
Taxis are a bit tricky and right outside the hotel, there are tram railways and that means that most of the times, cars will generally not be around that area. If you want to get a taxi, you will need to walk to the main street where the major deparmental stores are, e.g. BullRing Birmingham.
I would stay at Premier Inn again if I am in Birmingham area.
