We stayed at Red Planet Davao for 2 nights. Overall, the hotel room was clean, and we appreciated how nice and accommodating the front desk staff were during check-in. The location and cleanliness made our stay comfortable.
However, we had one issue during our first night. I had a sudden gout flare-up when we arrived, and the pain became unbearable to the point that I couldn’t walk. My partner had to go down to buy medicine and dinner for us. Since only one key card was given at check-in (which is also needed to keep the room power and aircon on), he asked the front desk for another key. Unfortunately, they said only the person whose name was under the booking could request it. Even after explaining that I could not walk due to a health issue, they still required my signature first. He had to go back upstairs, get the paper signed, and then return downstairs again. In an urgent situation, this process felt very time-consuming and frustrating.
My suggestion for improvement would be to proactively offer two key cards when two guests are checking in, instead of waiting for guests to request it. Also, in urgent health-related situations, I hope the staff can show more flexibility and understanding.
Despite this experience, the room itself was clean and the staff were polite. With better handling of situations like this, the guest experience would be much better.
The hotel is in a good location with easy access to plenty of local food options within walking distance. The room size was moderate and generally comfortable for a short stay.
However, there were several drawbacks. The room lighting was quite dim, making the space feel darker than expected. During my 3-night stay, housekeeping was not provided, and I had to request fresh towels myself. Basic amenities were lacking, including complimentary bottled water, an electric kettle, and even toilet tissue upon arrival. In addition, the blanket provided was very thin and not particularly comfortable.
Overall, the convenient location is the hotel's main advantage, but the lack of basic amenities and housekeeping services detracted from the overall experience.
I like the standard room, it' s good for 2 persons although the leg room is quite limited but over all it is ok. The place is serene and calm, it is ideal for middle aged and persons who like a quiet place to stay. And to top it all, there is a huge park outside where you can jog early in the morning or in the afternoon. I like the experience
I visited last December, and once again, the friendly and kind staff at Ahoview Hotel made me decide to stay here again. The rooms are well-cleaned and very tidy. The city view from the window also gets a passing grade. And most of all, I was satisfied with the breakfast buffet, though I would have been even happier if there were mangoes in the fruit section. Also, the Halo-Halo I had at the café was incredibly delicious. I'll include photos for you to see. This trip to Davao for three days was very satisfying. I'm truly grateful to all the hotel staff who work so sincerely for their guests.
Very clean and lovely hotel. I would say the only downfall was that there was no elevator, so traveling with an infant and stroller was difficult. We ended up leaving the stroller downstairs, to avoid the issue. Be sure if you need wheelchair accessible or stroller accessible, you book for the bottom floor.
Food was amazing. The pad Thai was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was nice and clean. And the staff were accommodating and friendly.
The receptionist was accomodating. I forgot her name but the hotel staffs were approachable. the location of the hotel is near to SM Lanang. Highly recommended hotel.
We stayed at Crown Regency Residences for a week, and overall it was a great choice—especially for budget travelers with kids. One of the biggest highlights was the unlimited pool access until 10 PM every day, which our family really enjoyed. It made a huge difference in keeping the kids entertained without needing to go out and spend extra.
The place offers hotel-like service, and the staff were consistently helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. While the building itself does show its age and could use some updates, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
If you’re traveling as a family and looking for something affordable with good amenities, this is definitely a place worth considering. Despite its older appearance, I would still choose to stay here again for a budget-friendly family trip.
I had an excellent experience in this hotel room. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, the amenities were complete, and everything worked perfectly. The peaceful environment made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.
Loved our stay! The staffs are great and very welcoming, they are well-trained professionals. They give instructions clearly. The room was very clean, smells good and we were very comfortable, and impressed by how they managed to maintain such great quality rooms. Complete toiletries. There’s nothing I can complain about. The breakfast buffet was also superb! Would love to go back in time.
This hotel surpassed expectations with its good rooms and services. unforgettable experience overall.

SSatchieMy family had a very good night with the hotel, staff are friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast is okay and overall experience is good. Will book again soon.
YYkhca_TravelsWe arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for.
When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem.
Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

YYkhca_TravelsWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the heart of the city. My partner and I experienced excellent service, mainly when an incident arose that required us to visit the hospital. The staff were exceptionally cooperative in providing an incident report, which was incredibly helpful for our insurance reimbursement process.
While the hotel is somewhat older and the amenities could be upgraded, I still felt very comfortable during our stay.
I would recommend this place.

SSteveeWhat I liked:
- good location
- excellent customer service
- beautiful reception
- the breakfast was authentic and tasty
What I did not like:
- cockroach was found in my room
- the rooms and bathrooms are extremely dated in desperate need for a redo, despite some efforts for refurbishment since my last stay earlier this year
- the TV is pretty much just a decoration in room, about 4-5 channels are available with poor signal quality, without any exaggeration it is impossible to view. Not a Smart TV, so no YouTube or Netflix to keep you entertained, if you choose to stay here,
- it is poor value for the price/night, the recent price increase is really not justifiable
GGuest UserLocation is really Good if you want to Roam Around Davao city Close to the mall and Shops, Staffs are Friendly, kind,Respectful. We enjoy our stay at the Hotel,
the food from the Breakfast Buffet really taste good. The pool is relaxing Good for the kids to Chill from the hot weather outside.
Maybe just Clean a bit the Window curtains coz it's a Bit Dusty , Overall experience is awesome.
GGuest UserDelivers in all the ways it promised. This is my third time staying here and it's quickly becoming my go to stay when I'm in Davao.
Location? Chef's kiss. It's located right in the heart of the city. It's only a couple hundred meters from Abreeza and one jeepney ride away from the other malls (GMall, SM Lanang and SM Ecoland). Check-in is convenient and quick.
The unit itself has been very clean in the three times I've been there. Guests check out regularly so the room usually gets cleaned daily. Privacy hasn't been an issue with the privacy curtains. I really appreciate the study space as well, particularly the chair. It's a very comfortable chair. Airconditioner is working perfectly. There's a balcony if you need to hang clothes out in the sun. Favorite place in the room is the bathroom. Clean bathroom with a bidet, plus heated shower and faucet.
Of course, there are trade offs in the sense that you don't have absolute privacy and you have to tread lightly for other guests which is expected for the price. Absolutely best value for money in all the places I've stayed at in the city.
