🛻 Best Experiences
A 4×4 desert safari is one of the highlights. You can combine dune bashing with sandboarding, swimming in a desert spring, and watching the sunset over the Great Sand Sea.
🍯 What to Try
Siwa is known for dates, olives, olive oil, honey, and traditional Siwan dishes. You can also buy locally produced soaps, baskets, and handicrafts.
🌤️ Best Time to Visit
October–April is generally the most comfortable period. Summer can be extremely hot.
🚗 How to Get There
Siwa is remote. Most travelers reach it by road from Cairo or Alexandria, with the journey taking roughly 8–10+ hours, depending on the route and stops. There is also access from Marsa Matruh by road.
📅 How Long?
2–3 nights is ideal for experiencing the oasis, salt lakes, ancient sites, and a desert safari.
Siwa feels completely different from Cairo or the Nile Valley—quiet, remote, and almost otherworldly. 🌴🏜️✨
