🏔️ Attabad Lake
Attabad Lake is one of the most spectacular sights in Hunza Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan. Its brilliant turquoise-blue water, surrounded by towering Karakoram mountains, creates an unforgettable alpine landscape.
The lake was formed in 2010 after a massive landslide blocked the Hunza River. Today, visitors can enjoy boating, kayaking, and scenic views along the lake.
Beyond Attabad, Hunza Valley offers an incredible mix of snow-capped peaks, ancient forts, apricot orchards, traditional villages, and dramatic mountain roads. Highlights include Passu Cones, Hussaini Bridge, Altit Fort, Baltit Fort, and Khunjerab Pass.
🍂 Best time: April–October; autumn is especially beautiful when the valley turns golden and orange.
