Here, the lake is like a mirror, reflecting the majesty of the snow mountains and the romance of wildflowers, as if you are in a moving painting. ❷🏰 Cuopu Temple — The temple is hidden deep in the valley, under the snow mountains, a tranquil pure land. Here, time seems to stand still, and the soul is purified. ❸💎 Kangzhu Lacuo and Zhima Yongcuo — These two lakes are treasures in my heart. The water is emerald green, crystal clear, and fish swim freely in the water, while the primitive forests by the lake add a touch of mystery. ❹🚶‍♂️ Lakeside Plank Road — This is a little-known secret place. Walking along the plank road, you can admire the magnificence of the snow mountains and the colorful lakes, and feel the wonders of nature. 👉📝 Tips to make your journey worry-free ①🧥🌬️ The plateau weather is changeable, remember to bring more clothes to prevent the unexpected. ②🕒⏰ It is recommended to arrive before noon, as there are so many places worth seeing in the scenic area that you need plenty of time. ③🚌🕕 Note that the last bus in the scenic area is at 6 pm, don't miss it! ④🏞️🏔️ The altitude is 4300 meters, remember to prevent altitude sickness and maintain your strength.

When the weather is good, Cuopugou is definitely worth a visit, and it's best to drive into the scenic area for more freedom. Cuopugou encompasses diverse landscapes such as snow-capped mountains, glaciers, grasslands, forests, lakes, temples, and hot springs. With some luck, you can see national protected animals like the Tibetan Eared Pheasant at Cuopu Lake and Cuopu Temple. If you're even luckier, you might spot a Bharal. The only downside is that the restrooms in the scenic area are not very good, especially at Cuopu Temple, where the lack of modern toilets is quite surprising. The hot springs are genuine, and you can smell the strong sulfur odor even when driving by. I avoided bathing in the hot springs due to fear of altitude sickness and catching a cold. The last stretch of road to Cuopu Temple is narrow and difficult for vehicles to pass, so those with poor driving skills should be cautious. Moreover, at an altitude of 4200 meters, Cuopu Temple can be a challenge for those prone to altitude sickness.

| Cuopu Lake.◾️Cuopu Lake is the most famous and core attraction of Cuopu Gully scenic area, with a water area of about 0.4 square kilometers. It is the first holy lake in Kamba, known as the 'Soul of Shangri-La'. ◾️We took a sightseeing car to Cuopu Lake, which is backed by Zajin Jabbo Mountain and faces the vast Zhangde Prairie. At the foot of the sacred mountain, there is a large group of Tibetans picnicking and sunbathing. The Zajin Jabbo Mountain behind Cuopu Lake is quite shocking when viewed up close. ◾️Cuopu Lake is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The front is Nite Gangri Peak, three sides are the original cedar forest, and one side is the lake plank road. If you don't have altitude sickness, you can try a lake tour. If you feel unwell, take it easy. Standing on the half slope on the opposite side of the lake, you can see part of the whole view of the lake. The pines and cypresses by the lake absorb the blue lake water and guard this blue lake color, which is a kind of beauty. The sacred lake quietly lies in the green embrace of the high mountain pines and fir forest. When the sun shines on the lake water of Cuopu Lake, the color of the lake water is very beautiful, deep blue. ◾️Many plateau naked carp and fine scale flowers grow in the lake. When they hear the lamas and Jumu feeding by the lake, they will swarm in groups. The scenic area also launched the 'shouting fish' project, which can be experienced on the plank road. The lama next to it will sell fish feed, one yuan per group, cash only. There are many rare birds and animals in the forest by the lake, and there are beautiful swans and black-necked cranes resting on the lake. It is said that there are ground squirrels on the grassland. ◾️We walked on the leftmost plank road of Cuopu Lake, not only the color of the lake changes, but also the shape of the lake. Different directions and angles are different. The lake color from near to far presents a magical spectrum of silver white, deep blue, deep green, and dark green. The east of the lake is dyed gold, the heart of the lake is emerald green, and the west of the lake is stone green. The breeze blows, sparkling, very spiritual.

An Absolutely Underrated Secret Place. Chopugou is simply a condensed version of Xiaochuanxi. Snow mountains, lakes, forests, rivers, canyons, waterfalls, hot springs, grasslands, wild animals, etc. The natural beauty and cultural landscapes of western Sichuan can all be seen here. When we came, there weren't many tourists, and staying here was very comfortable. Just walk around and take pictures casually. [Travel Guide] It takes a day to explore Chopugou, so it's recommended to arrive at the entrance before 8 AM. After buying the ticket, take the elevator to the 3rd floor to board the sightseeing bus. ✔ The first stop is: Rekeng Hot Spring Group, the best viewing time: 7:00-9:30 AM. Walk about 330 meters along the hot spring boardwalk through the mist, and enjoy the only hot spring breakfast on the plateau at the hot spring breakfast market. You can sit in the glass restaurant with a full view and enjoy the double experience of food and scenery. The hot spring group here is highly ornamental, with white mist filling the entire valley. The white steam columns, several meters high, contrast with the blue sky and snow peaks. The sound of jets and sprays is as loud as drumming, rising and falling, very shocking. ✔ The second stop is Zhangde Grassland, an endless wetland grassland where various wildflowers compete for beauty. At the northern end of Zhangde Grassland are the sacred mountains of Zha Jin Jia Bo and Zha Jin Jia Mo. From a distance, the cliffs of Zha Jin Jia Bo Sacred Mountain are rugged, and the vast grassland connects to the majestic sacred mountain. ✔ The third stop is Haimen Stone Sightseeing Car Stop. The next journey can be done on foot or by switching to a convertible car, priced at 20 yuan/person. Our route is to take the convertible car -- Chopu Temple (visit the temple) -- hike to Sister Lakes to tour Kangzhula Tso and Zhima Yongcuo -- walk the blessing boardwalk -- hike around Chopu Lake for about an hour along the lake boardwalk -- reach the bridgehead stop and take the convertible car back to Haimen Stone -- take the sightseeing bus back to the entrance of the scenic spot. The surface of Chopu Lake sparkles, fish play in the crystal-clear water, various water birds gather in the center of the lake, and the five-colored prayer flags on the lakeside flutter in the wind. Walking along the lake boardwalk, the quiet forest boardwalk is surrounded by alpine plants, towering ancient trees, and moss-covered stones. Looking at the lake through the forest, the water and sky blend into one, with a beautiful view at every step.

The rustling snow covers everything, among the four seasons, the quietest season is winter, and only when you have been to Cuo Pu Gou scenic spot will you find that the silver-wrapped winter is more than just 'quiet'. The tranquility of winter smooths the ripples of the lake, like a huge crystal glass embedded in the earth; the quietness of winter covers vivid memories, but as long as you remove the thick snow coat, you can feel the vigorous vitality; the cleanliness of winter washes the mountains and rivers unblemished, and the place you look up is full of dreams. Mountains are heavy, roads are heavy, snow falls on thousands of mountains, holy and distant, travelers on the way see mountain peaks one after another, like seeing coordinates, like seeing Zajin Jabo God Mountain, they know the direction of Cuo Pu Gou. Snow is the symbol of winter, the snow of Cuo Pu Gou, has the boldness of the north, and the tenderness of the south, the snow scene of Cuo Pu Gou, beautifies this season. Tips: It is recommended to drive by yourself, the winter snow road is slippery, please prepare anti-skid chains. Route: Chengdu~Litang County~Cuo Pu Gou, one-way 690 kilometers, the journey takes about 12~13 hours at full speed. Suitable for 3~4 days, the highest altitude: 4500 meters Hiking: around the lake for about 1~2 hours You can't camp here, you can only stay in a hotel.

After visiting Western Sichuan multiple times, I always discover something new, but this time, there's a place that I just can't get enough of—Cuopugou! 🏞 This place is simply the epitome of Western Sichuan's scenery, with majestic snow-capped mountains, mirror-like lakes, blooming wildflowers, and herds of cattle and sheep. Every scene is captivating and makes you want to stay forever. 📍Destination: Batang Cuopugou Cuopugou, hidden on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318, is a stunning secret paradise. It is located between Litang and Batang, with a vast scenic area that includes snow-capped mountains, lakes, primeval forests, streams, canyons, and quaint temples, truly a microcosm of Western Sichuan's landscape! 🚗Self-driving guide: Depart from Chengdu and head west along National Highway 318, passing through Xinduqiao and Litang to reach Cuopugou. The road conditions are good throughout, and even a sedan can handle the drive with ease. 🎫Ticket information: Only 190 yuan per person, including the cost of a scenic area bus and electric car, which is a great value for money! 👭Scenic spot highlights: 1⃣Cuopu Lake: Take the shuttle bus directly to the end, and a vast lake comes into view. The temple is located at the end of the valley, at the foot of the snow mountain, full of mystery and solemnity. 3⃣Kangzhula Lake & Zhimayong Lake: These two lakes are simply my favorites! The emerald green water is as clear as glass, with fish swimming in it. Standing by the lake, it's like being in a fairyland. The photo opportunities are also stunning, highly recommended! 4⃣Lake Loop Plank Road: This plank road is less crowded and offers beautiful scenery. Walking along the lake, you can enjoy the distant snow-capped mountains and lakes of different colors. If you have enough time, why not take a walk and feel the close contact with nature.
