The Wulong Karst sinkhole is worth a visit by every Chinese person! Witness the natural wonder carved by the hands of gods, and be sure to take deep breaths, as each breath is a gain! The whole journey takes about 4-5 hours, with many stairs involved; my legs are no longer mine, they are just tools. It's not recommended for the elderly and babies who can't walk. ⭕️ Public transportation for a one-day tour of the sinkhole: 1️⃣ From Chongqing North Station to Wulong Station, it takes about two hours. Catch the earliest train. 2️⃣ After getting off the train, there are signs to take a blue bus directly to the Wulong Tourist Service Center for 10 yuan per person. 3️⃣ Upon arrival, you can buy tickets on-site or online. We bought a combo ticket for Tianshengsanqiao (Natural Three Bridges) + the sinkhole for 230 yuan per person. Follow the signs to take the shuttle bus. 🚉 Transportation tips: Each car can take up to 8 people, and depending on the number of passengers, a 5-9 seater vehicle is arranged. Local guides will take you around and share local stories. 📝 Tips: 1️⃣ The entire scenic area is very well-developed, and you can completely rely on the signs for the tour. 2️⃣ The weather in Chongqing is unpredictable, and there are several waterfalls near Tiansheng Bridge, so it's advisable to bring your own raincoat. 3️⃣ The whole tour can take about 5 hours if you go slowly, so it's recommended to bring your own food as there are not many places selling food inside.

The vegetation in Wulong Tiankeng is very good, with abundant water and perennial springs gushing out, and the water quality is also clear and bottomless, with dense moss. There are many evergreen plants all year round, and due to the special warm air flow this year, many leaves that should have turned yellow or red are reluctant to lose their green color. Finally, at the end of the scenic spot, I saw yellow leaves and quickly took a few shots to show that autumn has arrived and winter is not far away.

✅ Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges is located southeast of Wulong County, Chongqing City. This is a rare geological wonder and an ecological tourism area in the country! The karst landform here is eye-opening, as if entering a magical world. ❇️ Upon arriving at the scenic area, a huge sinkhole stretches out in front, the sight is shocking. The sinkhole sinks vertically, more than 300 meters deep, with an area equivalent to two or three football fields. Its grandeur, strangeness, danger, and beauty are dazzling. ✨ What's even more amazing is that there are 3 huge caves at the bottom of the sinkhole, each connected to the outside world, resembling three arch bridges, naturally formed by the forces of nature. This is the famous Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges, consisting of Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge. Tianlong Bridge is the foremost among the three, like a dragon flying in the sky, hence the name. There is a hole in the bridge, and within the hole, there is another hole, like a labyrinth, both spectacular and magical. Qinglong Bridge is the second, with the largest vertical drop among the three. The bridge is verdant, entwined with vines. When the sun sets behind the mountains, the afterglow spills over, with thousands of rays of light flickering, from a distance it looks like a green dragon trying to soar into the sky, hence the name Qinglong Bridge. Heilong Bridge is the last, with a dark color, like a black dragon lying across, intimidating. However, at the same time, the scenery of Heilong Bridge, with its uniquely flowing San Die Quan, Yixian Quan, Zhenzhu Quan, and Wu Quan four precious springs, is captivating. 📝 Travel Tips: To visit Wulong Karst, it is best to stay in Fairy Mountain Town for convenience. After reaching the visitor center, take the shuttle bus to the scenic area. The ticket includes the round-trip shuttle bus to the scenic area, but the scenic shuttle bus within the area requires a separate ticket. The entire route of Tiankeng Three Bridges is downhill and flat, with an uphill section at the exit, where you can choose to take the scenic shuttle bus. From Chongqing, you can easily reach Wulong. After arriving at Wulong Railway Station, there is a shuttle bus right outside the station (see image 18 below), which costs only 10 RMB per person and takes you to the Tianshengsanqiao Scenic Area Visitor Center. The whole journey is through the mountains and takes about 40 minutes. 🍜 You will arrive at the visitor center around 12 noon, where you can have lunch first. There are noodles and stir-fried dishes available at reasonable prices. After a warm meal, you can enter the scenic area. 🧥 The temperature in the scenic area is quite low and damp. Raincoats and jackets can be purchased or rented at the visitor center. Remember to wear a raincoat and shoe covers, even if it's not raining, they are useful for keeping warm or walking through waterfalls. 🎫 Tickets for the scenic area can be purchased on the B1 floor of the visitor center. Single tickets: 125 RMB for the karst, 105 RMB for the crevice. Joint tickets: If you want to visit both places, choose a joint ticket, which costs 230 RMB for adults, 167.5 RMB for seniors under 65 and children, and 105 RMB for those over 65. 🚌 Take the scenic area bus (included in the ticket) to the No. 2 entrance of the karst area. The ride takes about 10 minutes, passing the No. 1 gate. Don't enter through gate No. 2, as it requires an additional 50 RMB ticket. Get off the bus and walk back 200 meters to the No. 1 gate you just passed, and queue up to enter the scenic area. 🚡 Upon entering the scenic area, you will soon reach the elevator. Queue up to take the elevator down into the karst. During peak season, the wait can be long, at least an hour, but it's faster on non-holidays. (Elevator is the preferred option) 📸 After taking the elevator, just follow the scenic route for photography. The karst area takes about 2 hours to explore. Use the restroom at the entrance, or you'll have to wait until you exit. 🚗 After exploring the karst area, buy a ticket for the electric cart to the entrance of the crevice area, which costs 15 RMB per person (not included in the ticket, see image 18 above). You can also walk there (15 minutes). Enter the scenic area and first pass through the 'Time Tunnel' going downwards, then follow the route for exploration. The crevice has more water vapor than the karst and you will pass a large waterfall. It's a bit thrilling to walk behind the waterfall, so have your raincoat, umbrella, and shoe covers ready. The crevice takes about 1.5-2 hours to explore and is worth the visit. If the karst is about the beauty of the frame, the crevice is about inner beauty! 🚌 Similarly, when you see a restroom, it means you are near the exit. Around 17:25, take the scenic area bus (included in the ticket) back to the visitor center, which takes about 20 minutes. 🚉 Around 18:10, take the shuttle bus from the visitor center back to Wulong Railway Station for 10 RMB per person. The ride takes nearly 40 minutes, and you should arrive at Wulong Railway Station around 18:50, but you can definitely catch the last train back to Chongqing North Station, K9510, from 19:04 to 21:17 Warm tips: Remember to wear a raincoat and shoe covers, even if it's not raining, they are useful for keeping warm or walking through waterfalls. Bring a long-sleeved shirt, as the scenic area is cool and damp. Visiting both the karst and crevice is a complete experience, truly worthy of five A's. Take the elevator and vehicle routes where possible, instead of walking, to save energy. This way, you won't be tired at all after visiting both attractions, and you can immerse yourself in the scenery. The karst can be accessed without going through gate No. 2 and spending an extra 50 RMB. Entering through gate No. 1 and taking the elevator down is the preferred route, and you can also take aerial photos of Tianfu Guanyi.
