天池岛在千岛湖东南湖区，曾是南宋时期建宫殿的采石场，现有采石遗址好几处，山上有采石而形成的水池，池中养了许多红鲤鱼，在这里可以喂鱼，是小朋友的最爱。山上石壁还有很多书法家的石刻。和天池岛连接的还有一个鸟园，里面有各种鹦鹉，还有驼鸟、孔雀、火烈鸟等鸟类。

东南湖区游览中停留时间最长的一个岛，所谓的天池是好多南宋采石场遗址形成的坑，日积月累蓄水而成。应该一共有7个，但按照游览路线是找不全的，主要就是看四叠泉下的那个养了超多大锦鲤的天池。四叠泉也是采石遗址，正好形成了台阶状，水留下来就成了小瀑布，百岁桥就在三叠和四叠之间，但你走了这座桥除了要付3元外，还可能错过看四叠的位置，需要往回走几步才能看到四叠的全貌。总的来说，这个岛上还是有点小风景的，花费也不是很厉害。
