Brief Guide

Well-known for its extraordinary beauty and elegance, Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and one of the most impressive tourist destinations in China. Historically important and naturally stunning, Hangzhou together with nearby Suzhou is celebrated in China as "Heaven on Earth".

Located in East China's Yangtze River Delta and the northern part of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou is a major commercial and trade city with an estimated urban population of 12 million people. There are 10 urban districts with Gongshu District being the central heart of the city and enjoys convenient transportation. Xihu District is to the west of the city and where the famous West Lake is located.

Historically, Hangzhou has for centuries been known for its fine silk and tea productions, but the city didn’t reach its political importance until the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 AD) when the Emperor relocated the capital to Hangzhou. The city’s wealth and commerce grew further in the Ming Dynasty after the construction of the Grand Canal - the oldest and longest canal in the world - linking Hangzhou to Beijing and other ocean trade routes. Today, Hangzhou continues to be an economic center of east-central China.

From the beautiful West Lake to romantic bridges, and tranquil tea plantations to ancient shrines and temples, Hangzhou is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. There are so many awe-inspiring scenic spots in Hangzhou, that it will take a few days to just tick off the top destinations. For those unforgettable experiences, visitors can consider taking a sunset stroll or riding a bike around the West Lake, visiting a picturesque water town outside Hangzhou (e.g. Wuzhen and Xitang), learning about the tea culture, or seeing a Giant Panda in Hangzhou Zoo, etc.

Lingyin Temple, known as the Temple of the Soul's Retreat, is a serene and historically rich Buddhist sanctuary in Hangzhou, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Wulin Mountains and the mystique of Feilai Feng grottos. Founded in 326 AD by the Indian monk Huili, it has been a spiritual center for Chan Buddhism, surviving numerous restorations and retaining its prominence as one of China's wealthiest monasteries. Visitors can explore the temple's three main halls, including the magnificent Hall of the Heavenly Kings with its Laughing Buddha, and the Grand Hall of the Great Sage, which houses a towering 24.8-meter tall statue of Sakyamuni, one of the largest wooden Buddha statues in China. The temple's grounds are adorned with historic pagodas, bridges, and statues, offering a tranquil retreat and a glimpse into the profound Buddhist culture.

Hangzhou Songcheng Park, also known as Song Dynasty Town, is a theme park that offers a deep dive into the culture and daily life of the Song Dynasty era. Visitors can immerse themselves in a meticulously recreated Song-style environment, complete with performances, workshops, and attractions that reflect the historical and cultural richness of the period. The park's highlight is the "Romance of the Song Dynasty" show. This performance, along with others like the "Thousand-Year Love," uses advanced technology to bring the glory of the Song Dynasty to life. The park's layout is inspired by the famous painting "Along the River during the Qingming Festival" and features areas such as the Reproduction Area of "The Picture of the Bian River on Qingming Day," the Artistic Square Area, and the Nine Dragon Column Complex Area, offering visitors a legendary and unforgettable sightseeing experience.

The West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a quintessential example of classical Chinese beauty, where nature and culture harmoniously intertwine. This iconic freshwater lake, divided into five sections by three causeways, is enveloped by pagoda-topped hills and willow-lined waters, offering a serene and picturesque setting that has inspired poets, painters, and garden designers for centuries. Visitors can immerse themselves in the tranquil landscape by walking or biking along the causeways, enjoying the lush gardens, and partaking in leisurely boat cruises. The West Lake's cultural landscape is rich with historical temples, pagodas, and pavilions, which enhance its scenic beauty and provide a glimpse into the region's profound historical and cultural heritage.

Xixi National Wetland Park in Hangzhou is a serene oasis that offers visitors a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and ecological diversity. Known as one of the "Three Xi's of Hangzhou", this park is celebrated for its tranquil waterways, lush vegetation, and rich biodiversity. With a history spanning over 1,800 years, the wetland has been a source of inspiration for poets and artists, and it continues to be a haven for a wide variety of plant and animal species.

Visitors to Xixi National Wetland Park can immerse themselves in the park's picturesque landscapes and participate in cultural activities such as the Xixi International Dragon Boat Race. The park's ecological protection zones and Wetland Science Exhibition Hall offer insights into the importance of wetland conservation, while the traditional architecture and historical sites provide a glimpse into the region's storied past. Whether seeking a peaceful retreat or an educational experience, Xixi National Wetland Park is a destination that harmoniously combines the allure of nature with the richness of Chinese culture.

Thousand Island Lake, also known as Xin'anjiang Reservoir, is a man-made reservoir renowned for its crystal-clear waters and the multitude of islands that dot its surface. With over 1,000 islands, each varying in size and shape, the lake presents a picturesque landscape that rivals the scenic beauty of Guilin's mountains and rivers. The lake is celebrated for its high-quality water, which is so pure that it is said to supply a famous brand of bottled water. Visitors to Thousand Island Lake can indulge in a range of activities, from boat tours that navigate the intricate waterways between islands to cycling along greenways that offer stunning views of the lake's natural splendor. The area is also known for its ecological environment, lush forests, and rich biodiversity, making it a perfect destination for nature enthusiasts. The best time to visit is from March to November, with autumn being a particularly picturesque season to experience the lake's beauty.

Food Guide

Hangzhou's cuisine is renowned for its traditional craftsmanship and rich historical and cultural background, from the sweet and sour West Lake Vinegar Fish, the delicious Song Sao Fish Soup, the classic Dongpo Pork, to the uniquely textured Hangzhou Xiaolongbao and the century-old Pian Er Chuan noodles, each dish is a delicate interpretation of taste and a heritage of tradition.

West Lake Vinegar Fish is a traditional specialty dish of Hangzhou, made mainly with grass carp, cooked through a special process, with a bright red color, sweet and sour taste, and tender meat quality. This dish originated in the Southern Song Dynasty and has a long historical and cultural background. It was once tasted by Emperor Gaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty and highly praised, thus gaining great fame. When cooking, attention must be paid to the heat and seasoning to ensure the tenderness of the fish and the smoothness and brightness of the sweet and sour sauce. It is very popular with diners for its sweet and sour taste when eaten.

Hangzhou Xiaolongbao is known for its thin skin, tender meat, abundant juice, fresh taste, and beautiful shape. In production, the skin of Hangzhou Xiaolongbao is made of flour and water, kneaded and stretched multiple times to become very thin and elastic, and the filling is usually made of ingredients such as pork, shrimp, and dried bamboo shoots, with fresh taste. However, the real Hangzhou Xiaolongbao is not common in Hangzhou, but Shengzhou Xiaolongbao is widely spread across the country under the name of "Hangzhou Xiaolongbao".

It is a traditional flavored famous dish of Hangzhou, originating from the Chunxi period of the Southern Song Dynasty, created by Sister Song from the Northern Song Dynasty's Bianjing. She became famous by selling fish soup on the banks of West Lake. This dish uses mandarin fish or perch as the main ingredient, steamed and then deboned, and cooked with ingredients such as ham shreds, mushrooms, bamboo shoot tips, and chicken broth. It has a shiny color, tender and smooth taste, and a flavor similar to crab meat. Sister Song's Fish Soup is not only delicious but also carries rich cultural stories, making it an indispensable classic in Hangzhou cuisine.

Dongpo Pork is a traditional famous dish of Hangzhou, with pork as the main ingredient, characterized by its bright red color, soft but not mushy texture, and fatty but not greasy taste. The name of this dish comes from Su Dongpo, a poet of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is said that during his tenure as the governor of Hangzhou, he made braised pork to thank the people for their support and gave it back to the people who participated in the flood control. Dongpo Pork is usually made with half-fat, half-lean pork, slow-cooked in a clay pot, and can be served with vegetables such as baby bok choy to enhance the taste.

It is a famous dish of Hangzhou's Kui Yuan Guan, as well as a traditional flavored snack of Hangzhou. The topping of the noodles mainly consists of preserved vegetables, bamboo shoot slices, and lean meat slices, which are delicious and appetizing. Pian Er Chuan Noodles have a history of more than a hundred years and were first created by the old Hangzhou restaurant Kui Yuan Guan. Its specialty lies in the freshness of the preserved vegetables and bamboo shoots, leaving a lasting impression on diners. When cooking, first cut the pork leg and bamboo shoot meat into long, thin slices, stir-fry them with preserved vegetables, and then pour them over the cooked noodles. The noodles are smooth, the soup is rich, the meat slices are tender, and the bamboo vegetables are crisp.

One Day in Lin'an Zhinan Village | An ancient village in the clouds, a date with autumn harvest and ginkgo trees — traveler post in Hangzhou

One Day in Lin'an Zhinan Village | An ancient village in the clouds, a date with autumn harvest and ginkgo trees

One Day in Lin'an Zhinan Village | An ancient village in the clouds, a date with autumn harvest and ginkgo trees🍂 Zhinan Village is a top-tier, niche autumn viewing spot in the Yangtze River Delta, hidden on the hillside of Taihuyuan in Lin'an, and is known as the most beautiful ancient village in East China. Old houses with white walls and black tiles are hung with bamboo baskets for drying crops, and red persimmons, corn, and pumpkins are laid out to dry. Hundreds of century-old trees surround the village, thousand-year-old ginkgo trees scatter golden leaves, and terraced fields spread across the mountains. The route can be leisurely or a light hike, without high-intensity climbing, making it perfect for families, seniors, or friends taking photos. The autumn atmosphere is top-notch. ✅ Suitable for: Families with children, traveling with parents, beginner light hikers, Hanfu photography, and those who love ancient village harvest scenes ⏰ Duration: One day (Recommended 8:30 AM–4:00 PM. The reflection in the Heavenly Pool in the early morning is stunning for photos) Location: Zhinan Village, Taihuyuan Town, Lin'an District, Hangzhou 📅 Best time to visit: Mid-November–early December, when ginkgo, red maples, and harvest scenes are all visible 🗺️ Easy one-day route (senior and child-friendly): Village entrance parking lot → Heavenly Pool (photo spot for reflections) → Ancient village streets and harvest drying spots → Thousand-year-old ginkgo tree grove → Qigu Square → Terraced field viewing platform → Lunch at a local farmhouse restaurant → A short, leisurely walk on the Linchuan Ancient Trail → Return ⭐ Tangtang's Quick Tips ▪️ Transportation: Driving is preferred; navigate to Zhinan Village parking lot. Traffic can be heavy on weekends during peak autumn season, so we recommend leaving early. During peak times, private cars may not be allowed directly into the village, and you may need to transfer to a scenic shuttle bus. ▪️ Road conditions: The main roads in the village are flat, with only a few steps on the terraced fields and ancient trails, making it friendly for seniors and children. Be careful walking on the field ridges as fallen leaves can be slippery. ▪️ Food recommendations: Stewed free-range chicken, braised pork with dried bamboo shoots, mochi, and mountain walnuts. The local farmhouse dishes are authentic. ▪️ Clothing: There is a large temperature difference in the mountains, so bring a light jacket. With many fallen leaves and slippery steps, be sure to wear non-slip sneakers. ▪️ Etiquette: The harvest drying displays are the villagers' crops; please do not touch them or step on the terraced fields. Please take photos quietly. ▪️ If you want a more relaxed trip, just explore the village; there's no need to finish the entire ancient trail. 💛 Tangtang's Notes Zhinan Village is not far from Maohuo and Shilin Village in Siming Mountain. If you have enough time, you can plan a loop for autumn sightseeing in Western Zhejiang. The mountain roads have many curves on weekends, so drive slowly when passing other cars. Arriving early not only ensures parking but also allows you to catch the morning mist and the reflection in the Heavenly Pool, which is the most beautiful time of the day. 💬 Are you planning to leisurely explore the ancient village and take photos of the harvest, or go for a light hike on the ancient trail? Let's chat in the comments section!

Top Recommendation: The Clear Waters of Qiandao Lake and Meifeng Island Views — traveler post in Hangzhou

Top Recommendation: The Clear Waters of Qiandao Lake and Meifeng Island Views

🏝️ [Core Scenery] Located in Chun'an, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Qiandao Lake is dotted with over 1,000 islands. The water is crystal clear and green, and the islands are scattered like stars in the sky, earning it the reputation of "a painting of clear waters and a thousand islands." The classic highlight is Meifeng Island. From the Meifeng observation deck, over 300 islands spread out across the vast lake like pearls on a jade plate, leading to the saying, "You haven't truly seen Qiandao Lake until you've viewed the archipelago from Meifeng." The central lake area uses cruise boats to connect the islands, and Longshan Island, Moonlight Island, and others each have their own unique appeal, offering a relaxing experience amidst the beautiful scenery. The lake is vast with layered water colors. On sunny days, viewed from above, the water transitions from light blue to deep blue, with islands embedded like emeralds on the surface. 📷 [Shoot from Three Distances] For close-ups, capture the ripples on the shore, the wooden pilings at the pier, and the details of the trees on the islands; for mid-range shots, frame the relationship between the cruise boats, islands, and their reflections on the water; for long-range shots, shoot from the Meifeng observation deck to capture the archipelago, the lake, and the distant mountains in one frame. On sunny days, the lake displays layered shades of blue and green, while the lake surface is especially gentle in the morning before the mist clears. When on the boat, the splashes by the side and the green trees on the shore are also worth capturing, adding a touch of everyday life to your photos. 🎒 [Travel Light and Take Your Time] Exploring Qiandao Lake is mainly done via cruise boats in the central lake area, which stop at various islands along fixed routes. Check the schedules and return times in advance. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring water and sun protection. Stay safe while on the boat and do not lean against the railings. Follow the designated routes when visiting the islands and do not enter restricted areas. Ticket prices, boat schedules, and weather conditions are subject to the attraction's daily announcements. Arrive early during peak season to avoid lines. If you have extra time, consider visiting the Southeast Lake Area or going for a bike ride around the lake.

Shuizhixinju | Save your special days for West Lake — traveler post in Hangzhou

Shuizhixinju | Save your special days for West Lake

If you're looking for a place in Hangzhou to celebrate a special anniversary, I highly recommend Shuizhixinju, located right by West Lake. Before you check in, a personal travel ambassador will reach out to discuss your needs and preferences. They even note down small habits, like taking your Americano black, which is a really nice touch. If you love lake views, book a lake-view room to enjoy the beauty of West Lake right from your room. Upon arrival, you'll find the bathtub already drawn, warm longan and red date tea waiting nearby, and a handwritten card. It’s not over-the-top, but it makes you feel like your special day is truly being celebrated. The real highlight of the room, however, is the view of West Lake outside. In the evening, sit by the window and watch the sunset dip behind Leifeng Pagoda as the lake turns to gold. At night, you can enjoy a candlelit dinner by the lake or pre-order a custom anniversary dessert. Shuizhixinju also features a rooftop garden terrace with stunning views, perfect for proposals, celebrations, or private gatherings. If you're looking for a special setting with West Lake views that feels effortless rather than forced, this is the place. There's no need to rush your itinerary the next day. Wake up, open the window, and take in the light mist over West Lake, with Su Causeway partially hidden in the haze. Sit back with a cup of coffee and take your time enjoying the morning. Celebrating an anniversary doesn't always require expensive gifts. Spending a day by West Lake is the perfect way to honor moments worth remembering.

Mountain hideaway | A Zen journey in autumn — traveler post in Hangzhou

Mountain hideaway | A Zen journey in autumn

"The mountains are as still as in ancient times, and the days stretch on like a quiet year." When the first rays of morning light pierce through the thousand-year-old trees of Tianmu Mountain, I hear the deepest breath of the forest. Following the path of the clear Tianmu stream, I found a hidden sanctuary for the soul—the Hilton Curio Collection Tianmu Mountain. Here, time seems to slow down, quiet yet full of life. 🍃 [Architectural aesthetics: A silent dialogue between nature and art] Stepping into the hotel feels like entering a museum of Eastern aesthetics. The panoramic glass curtain walls bring the lush mountain scenery indoors, while the three fine trees in the "Water Courtyard" atrium and the philosophy of "round sky and square earth" create ultimate tranquility. I especially love the "Cocoon" artwork in the first-floor group reception area; the sense of shelter woven from rattan and metal wire gently wraps around the body and mind at this moment. The guest rooms blend natural wood tones with Chinese elegance, and opening the window reveals layers of emerald peaks. The room I stayed in was equipped with a private hot spring pool. Soaking in the tub while listening to the wind in the courtyard at night was the ultimate natural healing experience. The "Floating Forest" and "Green Spiral Staircase" in the public area are perfect photo spots; amidst the shifting light and shadows, every shot is an artistic masterpiece. 🍽️ [Dining experience: The elegant flavors of Jiangnan] My taste buds were completely conquered by the hotel this time. Lunch was at the "Magnolia Chinese Restaurant," a space elegantly designed with magnolia flowers as the motif. The chef selects local Tianmu Mountain specialties, perfectly blending traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. The mountain delicacies were not only beautifully plated but every bite was an authentic taste of Jiangnan. In the morning, I woke up at the "Shili All-Day Dining Restaurant." The open kitchen wafted with aromas, and the buffet breakfast, featuring selected local seasonal ingredients and global flavors, started my day with vitality amidst the sunshine and greenery. 🍁 [Nearby attractions: Exploring Tianmu Mountain and Chanyuan Temple] Staying here makes exploring the surrounding area extremely convenient (only 7 km from the Tianmu Mountain Scenic Area). This season, Tianmu Mountain is painted with colorful foliage, with ancient trees towering into the sky. I highly recommend a walk to Chanyuan Temple, where red walls and yellow tiles are nestled in the autumn colors. With incense smoke curling and the distant sound of bells, it is not only perfect for photos but also a place to find inner peace and Zen in the deep mountains. Here, what you experience is not just a night's stay, but a deep dialogue with nature, art, and life!

A fantastic kids' hiking camp in Hangzhou near Shanghai — traveler post in Hangzhou

A fantastic kids' hiking camp in Hangzhou near Shanghai

My child previously joined a day hike from Shanghai to Phoenix Mountain in Hangzhou and couldn't get enough of it. Taking advantage of the crisp autumn weather, we headed back to Hangzhou for another challenge: the "Ten-Mile Dragon Ridge" hiking trail in the West Lake area 🏃‍♂️ . 🗺️ Hiking route: The total distance is about 5km, featuring a mix of stone steps and dirt paths with no backtracking: Baoxian Temple ➡️ General Mountain Four-Corner Pavilion ➡️ Beauty Mountain ➡️ Songjing Feixia ➡️ Xizi Weilin Pavilion ➡️ Botanical Garden ➡️ Qingzhiwu . ⛰️ The section from Baoxian Temple to General Mountain is quite steep. If I had been by her side, she probably would have complained about being tired long ago. But with the guidance of the instructors and the company of her peers, she had to learn to find her footing and adjust her breathing and balance on her own. Watching her determined figure in the photos as she trekked through the bamboo forest, I realized she was actually having a blast! . 🌅 Reaching the top of General Mountain, the view from the ridge is truly spectacular! The beauty of West Lake is laid out before you, with the city, the lake, and the mountains all layered together. Being able to take deep breaths of the fresh mountain air is so liberating~ . 🍂 The handicraft class in the afternoon was also fun, and it really tested her patience! She first learned how to tie knots, specifically the kind used to secure things firmly. Then, while hiking between Beauty Mountain and the Botanical Garden, she and her friends went on a scavenger hunt, collecting fallen leaves and pinecones 🌰. Finally, she combined the knots she learned with the treasures she found in nature to create her very own "limited edition autumn wind chime" 🎐 . 🚄 Take the high-speed train from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Leave the kids to nature for the weekend and give yourself a break too~ ☕️ "Mom, I love hiking so much!" My child is already looking forward to the next autumn outing! . 📕 Travel tips: ▫️ Prepare non-slip hiking shoes or sneakers and wear thick socks ▫️ Wear long-sleeved quick-dry clothing to protect against the sun, mosquitoes, and scratches from branches ▫️ Hiking is a great workout, so bring plenty of drinking water (you can also pack some electrolyte drinks) ▫️ There is a significant temperature difference between morning and evening in the mountains during autumn, so bring an extra windbreaker

A 25°C summer getaway in the lush green wonderland around Hangzhou — traveler post in Hangzhou

A 25°C summer getaway in the lush green wonderland around Hangzhou

Finally, I understand why humans are obsessed with green. Hidden in the midsummer of Shishe Village, Tonglu. Surrounded by green mountains on all sides, with bamboo forests blocking the sun, you see thick greenery the moment you open the window. The emerald waters of the Luci Creek flow around the village, and the entire Maling Ancient Trail is wrapped in lush plants. It is truly a real-life version of a green wonderland, a natural 25°C summer oxygen bar. 📍Shishe Village, Fuchunjiang Town, Tonglu County, Hangzhou (About a 1.5-hour drive from Hangzhou; take the high-speed train to Tonglu Station and transfer to the K619 bus for direct access) Free parking at the village entrance; please note the one-way traffic in the village. 🎫Admission: Free 🍜Must-try food: The intangible cultural heritage noodle dish "Misipa" (amazing when paired with dried bamboo shoots and salted pork), "Ash Rice Dumplings" made with plant ash, and farm-style stir-fried chicken. 🎒Recommended activities: 🪑Creekside camping: Bring a chair, sit by the creek, and enjoy the natural air conditioning. 🚶Stroll through the ancient village: Walk through the alleys of Shishe Village, visit the Ming and Qing dynasty old house "Cunren Hall," or find a cafe by the creek to relax. 🚶Hiking for fresh air: Walk along the Maling Ancient Trail by the village and enjoy the fun of hiking in the cool bamboo forest breeze. 💡Tips: There are many mosquitoes in the mountains and forests during the summer, so be sure to bring mosquito repellent; it is recommended to wear comfortable flat shoes for walking on the stone paths. If you also want to rest your body and mind in the embrace of green, why not come to Shishe Village this summer to find the ultimate green of the season.

West Lake

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.

Lingyin Feilai Peak Scenic Area

At the summit, there's just a rock and a flat area, nothing special. On the other side, there's a temple to the God of Wealth with 1399 steps. You need to be very sincere to reach the top. Below are various Buddhist halls and temples, as well as some stone carvings of Buddha statues. The scenery is pleasant, with mountains, water, and forests.

Lingyin Temple

There was no real guide at the pinned location, only two person that gave me a qr code to picture it so i could have it for the next temple visit. Also the lady that will accompany to the gate to get through temple security check will tell you that you have to buy flowers to get inside the temple. Flowers cost 39¥. Everything else beside the guide persons was incredible. Totally worth visiting

Watching "Romance of the Song Dynasty" is like traveling through a thousand years of time. The light of Liangzhu, the banquet dance of the Song Dynasty, the Yue Family Army's resistance against the Jin Dynasty, and the legend of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai and the White Snake unfold in succession. The sound, light, electricity and water curtain stage intertwine, creating a breathtaking experience. In just one hour, you can witness the splendor of Hangzhou from ancient times to the present. Xixi National Wetland Park

It's definitely worth a visit, and very relaxing. You can take a boat ride, go ashore to explore, eat, shop, and do some retail therapy. Then you can take the boat back, which allows easy access to both the ticketed and free areas – very convenient and saves you a lot of walking!

OMG Heartbeat Park

A great place to take kids. I recommend buying tickets a day in advance for cheaper prices. We decided to go on a last-minute trip and arrived around 2 pm on Sunday afternoon. There weren't many people on any of the rides, so we didn't have to queue. It was a great experience.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (Hangzhou Section)

This is a worthwhile place to visit, to experience the culture of the ancient canal, and it's especially suitable for history and geography students. At Gongchen Bridge, you can feel the blend of ancient and modern times, and at the museum, you can learn about the canal's evolution and its impact on the country's economy, politics, military, and culture.

West Lake Sightseeing Tourist Car

As a Hangzhou resident, I often take the sightseeing bus around West Lake with family and friends. The West Lake sightseeing bus is suitable for seniors, families, and tourists with limited time. The route runs clockwise around West Lake and is divided into four sections, with tickets available for each section. There are two types of vehicles: regular sightseeing buses and antique-style wooden sightseeing buses; the antique-style buses are better for taking photos. Regular bus: 10 yuan/section, 40 yuan for the whole trip. Antique-style bus: 20 yuan/section, 80 yuan for the whole trip. The route circles the lake clockwise; simply wave to get on if there's an empty seat. Along the way, you'll pass Broken Bridge, Willow Waves and Orioles Singing, Leifeng Pagoda, and Su Causeway. Taking photos by the window with the lake breeze is very photogenic. 📸 The route covers many of West Lake's core attractions; simply wave to board and enjoy a relaxed lake tour without having to walk for long periods.
