Stop crowding Wuzhen! This thousand-year-old ink-wash style ancient town in Guangxi is the ultimate healing destination — traveler post in Wuzhen

Stop crowding Wuzhen! This thousand-year-old ink-wash style ancient town in Guangxi is the ultimate healing destination

Hey everyone! If you're tired of commercialized ancient towns, you have to visit Huangyao Ancient Town in Hezhou, Guangxi. It's a hidden gem from the Song Dynasty tucked away in the karst mountains. The bluestone paths have been walked for nearly 1,000 years, and the morning mist is absolutely legendary. 🚗 Transportation: Take the high-speed rail to Hezhou Station. From there, take the tourist shuttle bus for 30 yuan/person directly to the town. Ignore the illegal taxis. 🎫 Attraction ticket: Buy online in advance for about 70 yuan. It's valid for 3 days and allows for multiple entries. Money-saving tip: Entry to the street area is free before 7:30 AM or after 6:00 PM, though you won't be able to access the indoor courtyards. 📸 Must-visit spots: ▪️ Dailong Bridge: The soul of the ancient town! Come at 6:30 AM to capture the morning mist for stunning, crowd-free ink-wash style photos. ▪️ Dragon Claw Banyan: An 850-year-old tree with aerial roots that look like dragon claws. It's the perfect spot for Hanfu photos. ▪️ Xianren Ancient Well: Watch locals wash clothes and fetch water for a truly authentic local experience. 💡 Pro tips: You must stay for at least one night! Don't drag your suitcase over the stone paths—it will ruin your luggage. Contact your homestay host to come and pick you up. The moment the night lanterns light up, you'll understand what "Dreamy Huangyao" is all about.

Nanxun is the true pinnacle of Jiangnan — traveler post in Wuzhen

Nanxun is the true pinnacle of Jiangnan

After visiting Wuzhen, Xitang, and Zhouzhuang, and seeing countless internet-famous water towns, I finally decided when I arrived in Nanxun: this is the number one Jiangnan town in my heart. During long holidays, everyone rushes into popular ancient towns, unable to move on crowded stone bridges. Choosing reverse travel to Nanxun lets you understand the gentle charm that Jiangnan is supposed to have. It is not a fully packaged tourist attraction, but a water town where people still live long-term. White walls and black tiles spread along the river, the waterways flow slowly, and long-time residents still wash clothes and prepare vegetables by the water. Most shops along the street are local businesses passed down through generations, without the overwhelming, cookie-cutter internet-famous snacks. It is lively, but not noisy; it has plenty of ancient charm, but does not feel distant. First, let's talk about timing to help you hit the right window. ▫️National Day and Spring Festival holidays: Other ancient towns are packed. While Nanxun sees more visitors, it is much less crowded than Wuzhen or Xitang. You will only find true quiet in the early morning or evening. ▫️The shoulder seasons of spring and autumn (March–April, October–November) are the absolute best! The temperature is comfortable, there is a high chance of misty rain, and the morning often brings a thin fog over Baijianlou, with a soft glow on the river surface. By sunset, warm light hits the riverside houses, and the blue hour paired with red lanterns makes every shot look like an ink wash painting. Midsummer is perfect for night tours to avoid the midday heat. Winter has the fewest crowds; it is cold and quiet when it rains, which has its own unique appeal. Comparing it to other popular water towns: Wuzhen is commercially mature but explodes with crowds on holidays; Xitang is noisy at night, perfect for lively photo ops. Nanxun's biggest advantage is its balance. The ancient town district is free to enter—no ticket needed just to walk in. It has exquisite Jiangnan gardens and century-old mansions blending Chinese and Western styles, yet it retains its authentic, everyday water town life. The route is smooth, no backtracking, and it is not physically demanding. Whether it is a short day trip or staying overnight to relax, it is very suitable and friendly for seniors and children. 📍Location: Nanxun Ancient Town, Huzhou, Zhejiang ⏰Golden Hour Schedule · 7:00–9:00 | Baijianlou: The most beautiful moment of the day! Before the crowds arrive, morning mist drifts over the river, and you can see the daily lives of the locals. It is the premier photo spot in the entire town. · 9:30–11:00 | Little Lotus Villa + Jiaye Library: Century-old private gardens with lotus ponds, ancient pavilions, and old trees. Quiet and elegant, perfect for avoiding the harsh midday sun. · 11:00–13:00 | Former Residence of Zhang Shiming, Liu's Ladder-Style House: Famous Jiangnan mansions featuring wood carvings, French glass, and red-brick Western-style buildings—this kind of Chinese-Western fusion is hard to find in other ancient towns. For lunch, grab a bowl of shuangjiao noodles nearby, and try the Xun trotters and Dingsheng cakes. · 14:00–16:30 | Tongjin Bridge + Ancient Alleyways: Walk through narrow alleys, look at the winding waterways from the bridge, and just stroll around. · After 5:30 PM | Night cruise on a sculling boat: The lanterns light up, the reflections on the river are gentle—a perfect, atmospheric end to the day. ✅Time-saving and effortless essential route One-day express version (suitable for short weekend trips): Baijianlou → Tongjin Bridge → Former Residence of Zhang Shiming → Drink tea by the river, watch the night view, and head back. Two-day relaxed version: Day 1 | Morning photos at Baijianlou, visit the mansions, take a sculling boat at sunset; Day 2 | Little Lotus Villa, Jiaye Library, enjoy local snacks at a leisurely pace, and leave in the afternoon. 💡Time-saving tips: Take the high-speed train directly to Nanxun Station, then take a taxi to arrive quickly. If driving, try to park at the East Gate to avoid traffic jams at the South Gate. If you do not want to pay to see the mansions, just strolling the old riverside streets and Baijianlou is free and offers most of the town's beauty. The water bus is very cost-effective—a few dollars for a boat ride to see the town from a different perspective. ✨Key attraction highlights 🏡Baijianlou The soul of Nanxun. Four hundred meters of continuous Ming and Qing dynasty riverside houses, not overly renovated. The sunrise and sunset are legendary, and it is a must-visit for photography enthusiasts. 🍃Little Lotus Villa A late Qing dynasty private garden. Lotus ponds, rockeries, and long corridors offer a new view at every step. Quiet and secluded; when there are few people, it feels like you have a Jiangnan garden all to yourself. 🏛️Former Residence of Zhang Shiming The number one mansion in Jiangnan, unique to Nanxun. It blends Jiangnan wood carvings, European carved glass, and Western-style buildings—hard to replicate elsewhere. 🌉Tongjin Bridge The oldest stone bridge in the ancient town. Standing on the bridge, you can overlook the cross-shaped waterways and see the layout of the water town at a glance. ⚠️Practical tips to avoid pitfalls 1. The main street of the ancient town is free. You can buy a joint ticket for the internal mansions as needed. If you do not like visiting old houses, it is still fun without buying a ticket. 2. If you want to take photos without crowds, you must get up early. After 10:00, the number of tourists at Baijianlou gradually increases. 3. The riverside stone slabs are slippery, so wear comfortable flat shoes. For riverside homestays, prioritize the Baijianlou area—you can see the waterway right from your window. 4. If your goal is lively bars and dense internet-famous shops, this place might not meet your expectations. If you prefer quiet, authentic local life, and slow, leisurely walks, Nanxun will definitely hit the spot. 5. For local snacks, look for shuangjiao noodles, Xun trotters, and Dingsheng cakes. Old shops along the street are more cost-effective; avoid the overpriced shops at the scenic area entrance. Two travel plans for you Plan A | One-day express: Suitable for weekend getaways from the Yangtze River Delta. Hit the key spots without major regrets. Plan B | Two-day slow travel: Stay overnight to experience the empty water town in the morning and the gentle lights at night. Immerse yourself in the joy of reverse travel. Many ancient towns are built specifically for tourists to check in; Nanxun is a water town where people are still living their lives. When everyone else rushes into the crowds, come here and take a slow walk, and you will understand that the real Jiangnan is hidden in this unhurried, everyday life. 💬Conclusion In your heart, which ancient town is the pinnacle of Jiangnan? Do you prefer lively water towns or this kind of quiet town with local residents?

I thought Wuzhen was beautiful enough, until I came here — traveler post in Wuzhen

I thought Wuzhen was beautiful enough, until I came here

👉 I have been to many ancient towns in Jiangnan, and Wuzhen already left a deep impression on me. I didn't expect to find such a hidden gem of an ancient town nearby. It has small bridges and flowing water, white walls and black tiles, as well as century-old mansions and exquisite gardens. It was once the wealthiest area in Jiangnan, leaving behind many buildings that blend Chinese and Western styles. What's even rarer is that local residents still live in the old streets. Living by the river, chatting, sunbathing, rowing boats past... It lacks the deliberately created commercial atmosphere of Wuzhen, but is full of the authentic, everyday life of Jiangnan. This is Nanxun Ancient Town in Huzhou, Zhejiang. This time, I didn't follow the regular tourist route, but found a secret walking route that goes straight to the best parts of the ancient town! . 🗺️ Secret walking route 🚕 Taxi/Navigation destination: Dushi Juluo Hotel Walk about 100 meters to enter the core area of Baijianlou directly! Dushi Juluo Hotel → Baijianlou → Pang's Former Residence → Jin's Former Residence → Tongjin Bridge → Silk Industry Guild Hall → Guanghui Temple → Zhang Shiming's Former Residence → Liu's Mansion → Xiaolian Zhuang → Jiayetang Library This route starts from the most vibrant Baijianlou and then goes deep into the history of Nanxun. . ✅✅✅ Recommended features 1️⃣ World Cultural Heritage The Ditang Ancient Canal in Nanxun is an important part of the Grand Canal World Cultural Heritage site, making Nanxun the first ancient town in Jiangnan to be listed as a World Cultural Heritage site. Back then, it became the wealthiest town in Jiangnan thanks to the Jili silk trade, leaving behind numerous silk merchant mansions and exquisite gardens. . 2️⃣ Baijianlou | The true Jiangnan water town The most essential area of the ancient town, built in the Ming Dynasty, stretches for nearly a kilometer along both sides of the river. White walls, black tiles, stone bridges, and water lanes—residents still live here today. This is the most beautiful part of Nanxun in my heart, especially recommended in the early morning and evening! Very photogenic. . 3️⃣ Silk Industry Guild Hall | A hidden photography gem A former gathering place for silk merchants, with exquisite ancient architecture. Don't miss the backyard! Old trees, corridors, and courtyards with rich layers make it great for shooting ancient architecture and portraits. . 4️⃣ Xiaolian Zhuang + Jiayetang Library The private garden of a wealthy Jiangnan family and a famous library. Pavilions, lotus ponds, and winding bridges combine the beauty of gardens with a scholarly atmosphere. . 5️⃣ Zhang Shiming's Former Residence + Liu's Mansion The most unique blend of Chinese and Western architecture in Nanxun. Traditional Chinese courtyards hide European decorations and stained glass; the red Western-style building at Liu's Mansion is particularly stunning. . 6️⃣ Ancient bridges and old streets Tongjin Bridge, Hongji Bridge, and the old streets along the river are all worth a slow stroll. Instead of rushing to check off sights, I prefer watching small boats pass by from the bridge and experiencing the true life of a water town. . 🌊 Food recommendation | Brothers and Sisters Private Kitchen A hidden gem of a restaurant I discovered this time! ✔ Fresh dishes, good home-style cooking ✔ Excellent riverside view, enjoy the water town while eating ✔ Reasonable prices, good value for money I recommend asking for a riverside seat in advance. . 📌 Practical tips 📍Nanxun Ancient Town, Huzhou, Zhejiang 🎫 The streets and alleys of the ancient town are free, while some old residences and gardens charge an admission fee 🚕 Nanxun has a high-speed railway station, making transportation very convenient . Compared to those meticulously arranged ancient town landscapes, I prefer the old streets of Nanxun where people still live. Perhaps this is what makes Jiangnan most worth lingering over.

Having visited all the Jiangnan water towns, only Wuzhen blends the vibrancy of daily life and theater together — traveler post in Wuzhen

Having visited all the Jiangnan water towns, only Wuzhen blends the vibrancy of daily life and theater together

People always ask: What exactly sets Wuzhen apart from other water towns? After visiting Xitang, Zhouzhuang, and Nanxun, the answer is truly clear. Other water towns are just commercial streets, while Wuzhen is a fully living, thousand-year-old water town. Daytime in Wuzhen lacks the dazzling bustle of the night, offering only clear daylight, murmuring water, and the slow, leisurely pace of Jiangnan life. White walls and black-tiled roofs are built along the water, with every household resting by the river, over 80 ancient bridges span the canals, and the bluestone paths have been polished smooth and lustrous by time. The morning breeze carries the crispness of the river, small shops in the alleys slowly open their doors, and the occasional soft sound of a sculling boat gliding across the water is so gentle that it makes you slow down instantly. The East Scenic Zone hides the purest sense of daily life Drying blue calico fabric sways in the wind, with indigo and white patterns filling the streets—a romance unique to Jiangnan. Local residents chat along the river and go about their daily routines, free from the noise of over-commercialization, preserving the most authentic texture of water town life. The daytime in the West Scenic Zone is even more elegant and orderly Waterside pavilions are layered, with windows facing the water and doors opening to the river, truly interpreting the poetic life of "houses resting on the river" described by the ancients. There are no messy illegal structures or abrupt modern buildings, the entire water town landscape is unified, clean, and healing—a level of order and sophistication that other water towns lack. Unlike the haphazard commercialization of other water towns, Wuzhen perfectly balances daily life, ancient charm, culture, and aesthetics. It has the bustle of market life without being noisy, and the liveliness of tourists without being chaotic. During the Wuzhen Theater Festival, the ancient streets quietly hide an atmosphere of theatrical art. You might encounter theater posters, street performances, or art installations around a corner. When a thousand-year-old water town meets avant-garde theater, the ancient charm gains a touch of romantic, artistic tension. If you are looking for a place in Jiangnan that heals the heart, you must visit Wuzhen during the day. Don't rush your itinerary or chase the crowds, just walk slowly, watch the flowing water, and experience the gentle daily life of living by the water🌿

Wuzhen in early autumn | A little cooler each day — traveler post in Wuzhen

Wuzhen in early autumn | A little cooler each day

Wuzhen in early autumn | A little cooler each day Early autumn doesn't arrive all at once. It comes slowly, day by day. 🌅 Day 1 The wind is still warm, but the morning breeze has a hint of chill. You might not notice if you aren't paying attention, but your skin knows. 🍂 Day 2 The osmanthus flowers have bloomed. Walking through the alleys, you suddenly catch a sweet scent. You look around, but can't find the source. Yet, the fragrance lingers. ☀️ Day 3 The sunlight has turned gentle. It's no longer the harsh glare of summer. It's a warm, soft yellow, just right when it touches your skin. 🌾 Day 4 The willow leaves are still green, but they look different now. Not a deep green, but a lighter shade, as if washed by the autumn breeze. 🛶 Day 5 While on a boat, the boatwoman said, "It's the most comfortable time now—neither hot nor cold." The breeze blowing from the river is cool, carrying the scent of water. 🌙 Day 6 No need for air conditioning at night anymore. Open the window, and the breeze drifts in. It's cool and perfect for falling asleep. The crickets chirping outside are much gentler than the summer cicadas. Wuzhen's early autumn. No rushing, no hurrying. Day by day, taking it slow.🍂

Be careful when choosing ground-floor rooms near the water as they can be damp 🔹Outside the scenic area: CNY 200–360/night. Good value, just a few minutes' walk to the ticket gate, but you miss out on the feeling of sleeping by the water 💡Tips to avoid pitfalls 🔹Combo tickets are valid for the day. If staying inside West Gate, you can use your room card for unlimited entry/exit 🔹Entering after 3:00 PM is most comfortable, as it helps you avoid the harsh sun and get the best night view experience 🔹Silk inside the scenic area is likely fake, so buy it on the old streets outside the scenic area for half the price 🔹Dining on the main street of West Gate is expensive, so for main meals, it's more cost-effective to go to the old shops in the South Gate area 🔹Wear comfortable sneakers, as the stone paths are uneven 🔹There are many mosquitoes by the river, so mosquito repellent is a must 🔹Say no to private boats and unlicensed tour guides at the entrance, and buy all tickets through official channels 🔹Don't buy too much Sanbai wine, as it's strong 💬Final thoughts Many people treat Wuzhen as just a photo op, taking a few pictures in half a day and leaving, but that really doesn't do it justice. The beauty of Wuzhen lies in its slow pace—the empty alleys in the early morning, the blue fabric hanging in the dye workshop in the afternoon, the lantern shadows on the river at night. You need to stay a little longer to experience these. Give the daytime to East Gate and the night to West Gate. A 2-day, 1-night trip is just enough for you to go from "passing through" to "staying over"🏮

Skip the crowds at Wuzhen! A daytime stroll through Puyuan Ancient Town | The Song-style silk capital hidden in Jiangnan — traveler post in Wuzhen

Skip the crowds at Wuzhen! A daytime stroll through Puyuan Ancient Town | The Song-style silk capital hidden in Jiangnan

Finally found a Jiangnan ancient town that isn't packed with people✨ Many people only know Puyuan for its legendary night views, but only by slowing down and exploring during the day can you truly understand the essence of this thousand-year-old silk capital. I won't be writing about the night views; this post is dedicated to the Song-style charm of Puyuan during the day. 📜 [Why choose Puyuan] ▫️ Unlike other water towns, this is the historic Puyuan, once famous for producing 10,000 bolts of silk daily. It has a rich silk heritage and isn't just a commercial street built to look old. ▫️ The space is open with sprawling streets. The low density of tourists during the day means no fighting for photo spots; every shot captures clean, Song-style aesthetics. ▫️ A blend of culture + gardens + ancient architecture. You can admire grand buildings or duck into small alleys to experience local life. It's perfect for Hanfu and cultural photography. ▫️ Immersive Song-style experience: receive Jiaozi (ancient currency) upon entry, interact with NPCs, play mini-games, and travel back to the Song Dynasty in a second. 🗺️ [No backtracking: daytime route] Tourist Center entrance → Pushang Guild Hall → Shufang Zen Garden → Fushan Temple → Beigeng Tower → Residence of the Three Yue Scholars → Xiangyun Taoist Temple → Siwan Street 📸 [Must-visit spots during the day] ✅ Pushang Guild Hall The core of understanding Puyuan. See the history of Puyuan silk, Ming Dynasty silk fragments, and the underground silver vault exhibition hall. Touch the prosperity of this "Jiahe Great Town" from back in the day. A must-stop for culture lovers. ✅ Shufang Zen Garden A Song-style water garden and filming location for "Lost You Forever." The mist system turns on every ten minutes. With white walls, black tiles, winding bridges, and ponds, the rising mist creates a perfect ink-wash painting vibe of Jiangnan. Black swans swim leisurely—it's quiet and ethereal. ✅ Beigeng Tower The highest point of the ancient town. Climb up for a bird's-eye view of the checkerboard-style water alleys, endless blue-grey tiles, and crisscrossing canals. The afternoon light is perfect for photos. You can also get creative stamps on the first floor. ✅ Residence of the Three Yue Scholars An ancient residential courtyard. There are scheduled performances of intangible cultural heritage like marionette shows. The deep corridors are perfect for a slow stroll to experience the layout of a wealthy Jiangnan family home. ✅ Xiangyun Taoist Temple A Taoist temple dating back to the Yuan Dynasty. With grand dougong brackets and simple, ancient pillars, the architectural details are full of historical charm. It's quiet and uncrowded, perfect for appreciating ancient architecture. ✅ Siwan Street No lanterns during the day; it's a quiet Song-style street. Along the street are teahouses and snack shops selling Begonia cakes and Jiangnan snacks. Use your Jiaozi to interact with NPCs, play riddles, and immerse yourself in the daily life of the Song Dynasty. 💡 [Tips] ▫️ Tickets: Buy a day ticket to enter and explore at your leisure. The ancient town is large, so wear comfortable shoes. ▫️ Outfit: Light colors or Hanfu work well. Bring an oil-paper umbrella and a round fan to double the atmosphere. ▫️ Sculling boats are also available during the day. The water is calm, making it great for photographing the water-based architecture, but I recommend saving this for the night view. 🍃 A few thoughts Having seen too many commercialized and crowded Jiangnan ancient towns, my impression of Puyuan during the day is one of restraint and composure. White walls and black tiles spread out quietly, the river flows slowly, and ancient temples, gardens, and old residences are scattered throughout. It's not a deliberately constructed "influencer" backdrop; it's a place where the story of thousand-year-old Puyuan silk is hidden in every brick and tile. Walk slowly, no need to rush to check off spots. Stop in an alley, let the wind blow through the eaves—this is the most comfortable state of Jiangnan.

Early autumn in Wuzhen | The wind carries the scent of osmanthus

Early autumn in Wuzhen | The wind carries the scent of osmanthus After National Day, Wuzhen enters autumn. It is not the bleakness of late autumn, but the light, soft touch of early autumn. Open the window in the morning, and the breeze from the river feels cool, carrying a faint, elusive sweetness. The osmanthus flowers have bloomed, hidden deep in the alleys. You won't smell them unless you look closely, but when the wind blows, the fragrance finds you. Walk slowly along the riverbank. The willow leaves are still green, but it is a different kind of green. No longer the deep, heavy green of summer, it is lighter and more translucent, as if washed by the autumn wind. The sunlight has also turned gentle, a soft, warm yellow that slides from the eaves to the water and filters through the treetops onto the stone paths, shattering into pieces that dance with every breeze. Sculling boats pass under the bridge, the rhythmic sound of oars unhurried. The boatwoman says, "It is the most comfortable time now— not too hot, not too cold, and fewer crowds." Sit under the corridor and daydream, watching the boats come and go, watching the light and shadows shift, watching early autumn slowly dye Wuzhen in gentle colors. Early autumn in Wuzhen is not in a rush to turn yellow; it is just, bit by bit, putting summer away🍂

Wuzhen in autumn is a cozy and gentle Jiangnan water town — traveler post in Wuzhen

Wuzhen in autumn is a cozy and gentle Jiangnan water town

In the soft daylight of autumn, Wuzhen hides the gentle essence of Jiangnan. The weather has just turned cool, and the river water and trees on the banks are still green. The scent of osmanthus in the old alleys is faint, and a layer of sweetness floats in the air. No need to plan an itinerary; just strolling and pausing along the river is perfect. · 1️⃣ Xizha The water pavilions and alleys during the day belong to the blue calico. When the wind blows, the blue cloth in the courtyards flutters, and paired with the green water and white walls, it is the everyday romance of Wuzhen. When the sky darkens, lanterns light up one by one. Sitting on a scull boat gliding into the night, with bridges and lights reflected in the water, it is another dream. · 2️⃣ Mu Xin Art Museum Walking to the water's edge, you will encounter the Mu Xin Art Museum. It is built by the water, as quiet as a painting. Walking inside, the spatial structure and light and shadow of the modern architecture will make you slow your pace unconsciously. It just so happens that there is a "Looking Back at Eileen Chang" special exhibition (running until the end of December). The manuscripts and old photos are all there. Reading the words of the talented writer from the Republican era by the Jiangnan water, it feels as if time has slowed down. · 3️⃣ Dongzha Dongzha is Wuzhen in its unadorned state. Without the exquisite scenery of Xizha, there are rain stains on the white walls, and the bluestone slabs are worn smooth and shiny by footsteps. The carved wooden windows and tiger-head door knockers of the old houses are all old items used for decades. In the alleys, you can occasionally meet elderly people holding teacups and basking in the sun. · 4️⃣ Nanzha An old street with no admission fee, not very commercial, with small noodle shops in the alleys that locals often visit, full of authentic local life. Nanzha is an old street with no admission fee, with unadorned old houses on both sides, and occasionally the steam of a bowl of noodles drifts out. The small noodle shops that locals often visit are hidden in corners; you can find them by the smell even without a sign. Find a small noodle shop where locals are queuing, sit down, and listen to the next table chatting in dialect. Here, Wuzhen is not a tourist attraction, but life itself, day after day. · Wuzhen is more than just the bustling liveliness of flickering lights and crowds at night. It is the gentle Jiangnan water town where you walk along the river, with green water and green trees. · After a day of exploring, returning to where you stay is also a treat. This time I stayed at 🏡 Huazhu · Wuzhen Zerunju, which is very close to the Xizha entrance, but just avoids the noise of the scenic area, a quiet retreat amidst the bustle. Every room has a unique view, and the small courtyard is very photogenic. The overall style is new Chinese, quiet and secluded, with a strong Jiangnan atmosphere. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows with tatami tea seats. Coming back in the afternoon to sit, drink tea, and bask in the sun, the fatigue of the day dissipates. The owner is also genuine and took the initiative to recommend places to eat. A few steps out, there are several small restaurants that locals often visit, with good taste and reasonable prices.

Wuzhen West Gate Scenic Area

I bought a combined ticket, and unless you go to the attractions very early in the morning, the time might be a bit rushed for first-time visitors to Wuzhen. However, overall, the environment and service experience made it a very worthwhile trip. I would highly recommend it to my friends. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance, because there are some interesting and engaging attractions that you simply can't fit in one day. ☺️

Cao Mu Natural Color Dye Workshop

A large-scale handmade dyeing workshop in Wuzhen. When you step into the dyeing workshop gate, you can see bamboo poles standing in rows, on which are densely packed fabrics printed and dyed in the workshop, among which the most common is traditional blue printed fabric, which is what we like most. However, the price of the finished product is not cheap in various stores, so we can only leave with some regrets in the end.
