Dongying Temple

Dongying Temple of Hancheng Museum, also known as "Guan Sheng Temple". Shaanxi key cultural relics, built in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, the existing main buildings include mountain gates, temples, bedding palaces, etc. The building is magnificent and tall. The dragon-sculpted wall at the door is very beautiful.

Dongying Temple is located between the Confucian Temple and the Chenghuang Temple. It sits east and west. The main building is the Guandi Temple on the central axis. There is the Doumu Palace on the right side of the main temple of Guandi Temple. It is the temple of the mother of the Beidou Seven Stars. There is also a small courtyard on the side of the entrance of Guandi Temple.

The smallest of the three temples, dedicated to the martial saints such as Guan Gong, historically this is a barracks, gradually evolved into temple buildings, Dongying Temple's architecture is spectacular, there is no excessive gorgeous, the scenery is general.

Historically, Hancheng should be the site of the garrison, so there are many barracks here, and the barracks are generally related to public service. At that time, Hancheng four gates were built with barracks, which are currently only retained in Dongying and gradually evolved into a temple-based function.

Hancheng should have many troops in history, so there are temples built in the east, west and north, and the Dongying Temple is currently retained. This is both a barracks and a temple. It is mainly dedicated to Guangong. It is connected to the Confucian Temple and has a ticket.

Located in the old city of Hancheng, connected to the Confucian Temple, tickets can be purchased and visited, is currently a provincial cultural relics protection unit, built in the Ming Dynasty, the current building is the Qing Dynasty Daoguang years rebuilt, here is originally a barracks, and gradually developed into a temple in the later stage.
