Su Dongpo Memorial Hall

Su Dongpo gave spirituality to the West Lake landscape, and spread the song of praise for the ancient times of the West Lake landscape. In 1988, Hangzhou built a Sulu Memorial Hall at the southern end of Sudi. The memorial hall is located next to the Yingbo Bridge at the southern end of Sudi, only occupying a small place, but holding an incomparable nostalgia.

West Lake Sudongpo Memorial Hall is a famous memorial hall near the embankment of Wuhu Lake. It is located in the south of the famous West Lake Sudi, adjacent to Leifeng Pagoda, Jingsi, Huagang Fish Watching, and Zhang Taiyan Memorial Hall, Zhang Cangshuiyu, Prince Bay Park across the road.

Su Dongpo served as an official in Hangzhou for two terms. During his tenure, he observed the sufferings of people's livelihood, led the people to dredge the West Lake, build the Sudi, clear the river, prevent and control water, build water conservancy, dig wells to attract water, solve the suffering of drinking salty water for the people, and prosper the city and benefit the people. Traveling through the mountains and rivers of Hangzhou, until now Hangzhou City still imprinted his footprints. Hangzhou people feel Su Dongpo, because he gave so much spirituality to the landscape of the West Lake, spread the song of the ancient singing of the West Lake landscape, but also because he added a beautiful scenery to the West Lake - Sudi Chunxiao. In addition, Su Dongpo and Hangzhou's city culture and food culture also have many sources. "Dongpo meat" and "Wushan stew cake" are the representatives. I can't imagine Hangzhou without Sulu, I can't imagine Sulu without Hangzhou.

One of the ten beautiful scenery of Hangzhou City is called Sudi Chunxiao. One of the most classic and representative Hangbang dishes is Dongpo meat, which shows how influential this Su Gong has been on Hangzhou city in history.
