Yanxia Three Caves

Yanxia three caves, namely Shiwu Cave, Shuile Cave and Yanxia Cave, are located on Yanxia Ridge under the South Peak. There used to be a well on the roadside near Hupao, with four wells called four-hole wells. There is a small road on the opposite side, with osmanthus trees forming forests on both sides, and about 500 meters is Shiwudong. The cave is high and wide, and the roof of the cave is like a house, hence the name. The original five hundred Arhat stone carvings on the wall of the cave have been destroyed. There is another hole on the side of the main cave called "Bie Shiyuan". The back of the cave is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, like a floating snail, named "Canghai floating snail". The stone house cave has been renovated several times and planted with flowers and trees. It is a good place to visit and rest. About 500 meters in front of Shiwu Cave is Shuile Cave. There are osmanthus trees standing on the roadside outside the cave. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, golden osmanthus is fragrant. Visitors can sit and drink tea beside the osmanthus trees, which is very interesting. The Shuile Cave is more than 60 meters deep, and there is a clear spring flowing out of the cave, and the sound is like a stone, which is very pleasant. There are stone carvings such as "natural piano sound" and "listen to the stringless piano" on the stone walls on both sides. The sound of water can be heard everywhere in the cave, but no water can be seen until the opening of the cave. There are two stone statues of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai at the bottom of the cave. Another stone, struck with a staff, sounds like a guqin, which is very wonderful. About 500 meters away from Shuile Cave is Yanxia Cave. The grotto statues on the inner wall of Yanxia Cave are the works of the Five Dynasties. The shapes are vivid and natural and smooth. In particular, the Guanyin and the Bodhisattva at the entrance of the cave are very exquisite and have a feeling of being ready to come out. There is a stone on the left side of the cave, which is shaped like an elephant, and there is another stone under the belly of the stone elephant, which is like a small elephant, which is interesting. There is also the scenic spot of Bergamot Rock nearby. Bergamot Rock is located in the "Lianfeng" giant rock cave. There is a hand-shaped stone pillar hanging down in the cave, which is vivid and vivid, so it is called "Buddha's Hand".
