SmithTower is a skyscraper in Seattle and one of the local landmarks. The building is located in Pioneer Square and was built between 1910 and 1914. The building is named after its builder, gun and typewriter tycoon Lyman Cornelius Smith. With 38 floors, Smith Tower was the tallest office building west of the Mississippi River until it was surpassed by the Kansas City Power and Light Building in 1931, but it was still the tallest building on the West Coast. Until 1962, it was surpassed by another building in Seattle, the Space Needle.

Show More ReviewsThe Smith Tower is one of the tallest places in Seattle. There is also an observation deck here. Compared with the Space Needle, I personally think that the angle of viewing Seattle here is better. The vision is very open and you can see a lot of scenery.
