It's built in a pottun.
Original Text
This area is a place that became a foreign settlement after the opening of Hyogo port. This gate pillar is said to have been built in the Meiji era and is a cultural heritage. It's built inconspicuously, but you can feel the atmosphere of the settlement on this decaying gatepost.
The gate pillar of the foreign trading building is one of the historic sites scattered around the former settlement that I passed through while strolling around Motomachi from Sannomiya in Kobe. It was now quietly built at the back door of the building. There is also an information board, which records the state of the opening of Hyogo port in the 3rd year of Keio.

This is Kobe's surreal review spot gate pillar 2. If you don't have a feeling, you don't have to worry about it.
