Ship Kobe coast building
Original Text
In my guidebook, the name of this building is "Ship Kobe Kaigan Building". The lower floors from 1 floor to 4 floor are granite outer walls, with a nice design full of retro feeling, but above them were interesting buildings called modern skyscrapers.
It was a building with an old appearance up to the 4 floor and a modern upper floor of the 15 floor.

I headed south on the main street in front of the Daimaru Kobe store to see the retro buildings lined up in the former settlement of Kobe. Retro buildings were lined up along the coastal street that runs east and west before the highway. The first thing I found was this Ship Kobe Coast Building. 4 The lower floors up to the floor are the buildings with a modern appearance, with the former outer walls being used as they are, and the upper floors of the 15 floors are buildings with a unique appearance.
It is a building along National Highway No. 2 on the north side of Meriken Park. It is written as a coastal building, and it used to be the former Mitsui & Co. Kobe branch. It was a nice building with a retro atmosphere. The outer wall is said to be registered as a national registered tangible cultural property. Besides this building, there are many nice Western-style buildings in the surrounding area, which is interesting.
You can also see it from Meriken Park. It's a modern glass wall building, but the outer wall near the ground is retro! It seems that it is a new building that uses the outer wall of the former building. Is beautiful.
The nearby pedestrian bridge is a good shooting point.

JR From Motomachi to the sidewalk on the Daimaru side toward Meriken Park, there is a pedestrian bridge. I think it's a good spot to take pictures of the whole building from here. It looks like a modern building was built on an old building, but it seems that the walls of an old building are attached around the new building. There are many Western-style buildings around here.
