It was worth a visit. Old Mrs Eileen drove me from Harrogate to Rippon, 12 miles away. This is the site of the Royal Water Garden and Fountain Abbey. It is a world heritage site. It was built in 1132 and abandoned in the 16th century. The broken walls are ruined, desolate, but shocking. It is best to bring a camera, any angle is a blockbuster. Slowly turn a small circle, three hours. There is also a cafe, deer park.
