Daidu Mountain (Jiaxiu Building)

Waiting to cross the mountain is also known as the bold mountain. According to legend, in the first year of Jingyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1276), the Song capital Lin'an fell, and the Yuan army pursued it. Under the escort of Zhang Shijie and Lu Xiufu, Zhao Gang and his two brothers fled from the coast of Fuzhou to Jiazi, and stationed in this mountain. Dongjin joined forces with Wen Tianxiang in order to make a comeback, so the mountain was named "Waiting to Cross Mountain". They got Fan Liangchen from Jinshiyi in Jiazi to eat and work the army, and gave him the right servant shoot. The fisherman Zheng Fuweng led the Qin King and was named Dutong. There are still the remains of the "eating pavilion" on the mountain. It was built when Zhang Wanji and Hu Wenheng were stationed in Jiazi during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The food pavilion, also known as the emperor's pavilion, is an imitation wood structure with an area of about 20 square meters. There are stone statues of Lu Xiufu and Fan Liangchen eating food for the Song emperor, and the words "Jun's kindness is like the sea" are engraved. There is also a "General's House" under the eating pavilion, which was built to comfort the spirit of Zheng Fuweng who was loyal to serving the country. On the top of Waitu Mountain stands the ancient pagoda "Jiaxiu Tower". It is said that Jiaxiu Tower was built in the tenth year of Jiaqing Qing Dynasty (1850). It is a two-story mud pagoda, 15 meters high and hexagonal in shape, like a gourd-topped roof. There is a 15-meter-high pole next to the building, which is a typhoon warning signal for Jiazi Port. There is a couplet at the entrance of Jiaxiu Building, which says: "Book Clouds are generous; Zhenhai Xiaoshen Mountain" reflects the splendid shores of Jiaxiu Building and Dudu Mountain, the corner of Weizhen. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers. When the tide is up, the sea water pours into the Jiazi Port like thousands of troops and horses, with extraordinary momentum and spectacular scenes. From the top of the building, you can see the sea and the sky in the same color, and the returning sails reflect the scenery. This is one of the eight scenic spots in Lufeng.
