Monte Fort(Mount Fortess, St. Paul's Fort)

The Monte Fort, located on Mount Persimmon near the Ruins of St. Paul's, is one of Macau's important historical sites. It once served as the core of Macau's defense system, forming a defensive artillery network covering the east and west coasts.

The fort is an irregular quadrilateral, with its four corners forming bastions. The walls, approximately 9 meters high, could mount over thirty cannons, providing protection against attacks from all directions. Today, the Monte Fort is a tourist attraction, with a large green area in front offering panoramic views of Macau.
