The church of St. Mark is said to be the second largest in Milan, with many murals, most of them from the Renaissance (starting from noon to 4 p.m., it is closed here, the church was built in the 13th century, and the windows of roses are beautifully carved inside
It is worth seeing, all the golden mosaic puzzles on the top feel magnificent. There is also a legacy of St. Mark inside. Can't enter with shoulder backpacks. Usually queues are long. No tickets are charged.
Unfortunately, we came to Italy in winter, it started dark at 4:30 pm, and the closing time of the attractions was relatively early. When we came to this church, the door was closed, and we could only walk around the appearance and take pictures. Considering this trip to Italy, you will see more and bigger churches, and you will not revisit this place as a plan for the next day. Since the church of St. Mark is being repaired, the appearance is not particularly beautiful, only part of the picture can be taken.
#About St. Mark's Church # St. Mark's Church was built in 336 to commemorate St. Mark's author, who kept his remains under the altar. The church style has been built many times, retaining the 9th century ring mosaic, blue and gold roofs on the lions like the home emblem from the 15th century Pope Paul II, while other decorations such as the jade ring are the art of the late 18th century baroque. Like Rome itself, every piece of art leaves a mark on this church and is well worth a visit.
