Phra Pathommachedi is a first-class royal temple located in Phra Pathom Chedi Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Pathom District, Nakhon Pathom Province. Its most notable feature is the Phra Pathom Chedi or Phra Thom Chedi, which is one of the tallest and largest pagodas in Thailand (120.45 meters). The current Phra Pathom Chedi is a Lanka-style pagoda in the Sukhothai design, built during the reign of King Mongkut, covering two older pagodas: a stupa in the Indian style from the era of Emperor Ashoka, and an ancient Khmer-style pagoda.
