Shuangxi Town

The historical relics of the ancient town are mainly: ancient tombs and ancient temples of the Song Dynasty, Beiyan Temple, Lingyan Temple; the ancient county hallmarks are Ruiguang Tower, Confucius Temple, Chenghuang Temple, Zhuzi Temple and Lu's Ancestral Hall, Yuan's Ancestral Hall, Ming and Qing ancient houses Changshou Lane, Ehuli, Houmen Temple and other monuments; And Qing emperor's holy order, stone archway, military and guard knife, board, ancient calligraphy and painting cultural relics.

Today, the ancient town of Shuangxi has a large number of historical monuments, and the well-preserved ancient buildings include the Confucian Temple, Chenghuang Temple, Ruiguang Tower, Lingyan Temple, Beiyan Temple, ancient houses and so on. Beiyan Temple is one of the famous millennium ancient temples in Pingnan County, founded in the first year of Song Yuxi, experienced the reconstruction of the existing main buildings for civil structure, six rows and five open rooms, the temple and the outside of the past generations of literati ink left many inscriptions.

The houses here are not limited to one or two families, but are distributed in land houses, Zhangzhai, Zhouzhai, Gaipingxuan, Songzhai and other ancient houses. This can understand the different families have different life appearances.

In Pingnan, a local proverb has been circulating for thousands of years "first Lu's, then Shuangxi. First Shuangxi, then Pingnan." These sixteen words sum up the historical origin of Pingnan County. Lu Shi, an ancient Lu surnamed clan living in Pingnan, Shuangxi, refers to Shuangxi Village, also known as Shuangxi Town. From this sentence, it can be seen that there is Shuangxi Village first, only Pingnan County, first there is Lu family, only there is Shuangxi Village.
