Beiyue Temple

曲阳北岳庙在顺治十七年(1660)之前是遥祭北岳山神的地方，属于国家祭祀体系的五岳四渎之一；而在明朝之前，北岳所指的山是距此几十公里的大茂山（现属阜平县），其后才改至如今的山西浑源恒山。北岳庙在五岳祭祀中属于规格最高，主殿“德宁之殿”的屋顶为重檐庑殿顶。主殿还是现存面积zui大的元代木构，殿内留存有唐代吴道子所绘的壁画，描绘神仙行云布雨的情景。原殿内还有15尊神像，后被毁，现正在按照古法重塑，黄泥混合稻草棉麻塑形，最后应该还有彩绘。现存的山门“朝岳门”进来左边是博物馆，搜集了有关北岳祭祀、北岳庙考古的资料，值得一看。

Quyang Beiyue Temple, from Dingzhou Bus Station, take a long-distance bus for 9 yuan, about 45 minutes to Quyang Bus Station, and then dd eight yuan to Beiyue Temple, when I went, I just opened the door, the whole venue is only me alone, equal to the private browsing, the experience is very good! The temple of Dening, the ridge top of the nine ridges, magnificent and majestic, the murals inside Wu Belt and the wind, it is worth a visit!

Don't miss it if you like Wenbo, the ticket price is slightly higher. The focus is on the Temple of Dening, but the statue in the main hall is being remodeled and the taste is a bit heavy. The road at the door is chaotic and parking is chaotic.
