Nanxiang Ancient Town, a suburb of Magic City, is full of historical relics
Address: No. 48, Renmin Street, Nanxiang Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. Time: It is estimated that the tour will take 2.5 hours. Tips: There are many relics, which are relatively small, and some visits require a fee.
Nanxiang Ancient Town, one of the four ancient towns in Magic City, is a town named after a temple. As early as the fourth year of Tianjian in the Liang Dynasty (505 AD), the Baihe Nanxiang Temple was built here, and it has been more than 1500 years since then.
Unlike other ancient towns in Shanghai, Nanxiang Ancient Town is mainly famous for several ancient relics.
Nanxiang Twin Towers
It is the old longevity star among the ancient towers in Shanghai, and it is also a treasure among the brick towers in our country. It was built from the Five Dynasties to the early Northern Song Dynasty. It is a very precious twin tower Yunxiang Temple/Liuyun Zen Temple (8:30-16:30)
It was originally named 'Baihe Nanxiang Temple'. It reached its peak during the Tang Dynasty, and the temple base expanded to 180 acres. During the Shao Ding period of the Song Dynasty, because of the plaque of 'Nanxiang Temple' given by Emperor Li Zong Zhao Yun, the temple name was changed to Nanxiang Temple.
Guyi Garden (5:30-17:00) Ticket price is 12 yuan
One of the five classical gardens in Shanghai, Guyi Garden was originally named Yi Garden, built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522~1566), by the then Henan Tong judge Min Shiji. After the founding of New China, Guyi Garden has undergone several expansions and now covers an area of over 150 acres. The garden is divided into four scenic areas according to different landscapes: Yi Garden, Huaxiang Xianyuan, Quxi He Ying, and Youhuang Yan Yue. The garden preserves precious cultural relics and ancient sites such as Tang Dynasty Jingzhuang, Song Dynasty Putong Tower, Nan Ting, Wei Yin Pavilion, etc. Tanyuan (8:30-16:00) Ticket price is 22 yuan
Tanyuan (8:30-16:00) Ticket price is 22 yuan
Tanyuan is the private garden of Li Liufang, a literary scholar and artist of the Ming Dynasty, and a place where literati and ink guests often gather to chant poems and drink. The pavilions, trees, lakes and stones in the garden are all arranged by Li Liufang himself.
Like other ancient towns, the old street also has many food shops, and surprisingly found that there are also balcony music concerts, two old Kresax played very well. But there are very few Nanxiang Xiaolongbao for sale!|
Delicious:
Changxing Building, Nanxiang Xiaolong 10/25 yuan, small wonton 12 yuan/bowl, vegetarian duck 22 yuan/portion, vegetarian duck has not eaten but it's not bad, the first two did not eat the amazing feeling, just average...
Lotus root powder crisp and Pueraria crisp, hehe, follow the trend to buy, small snacks, 2/12 yuan, because I have no place to put, two are already very occupied, the boss sells things very casually, 3/15 yuan can also be obtained, when there are many friends, negotiate with the boss.
Iron plate tofu, stinky tofu, Quzhou Zeng's spicy crying cake, candied haws, roasted pig's feet, there are too many delicious foods, I have no stomach, there is always a snack here that touches you Nanxiang Ancient Town
One very interesting point is that there is a back door of the nearby residents' homes open in the garden. You can see the residents cooking and stopping the bicycles, and the whole garden has become the private garden of these families after the attractions are closed. It’s not too beautiful, you have to wake up with a smile when you think about it.
Nanxiang Ancient Town covers a relatively small area. It is located in Nanxiang New Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. The main points are Nanxiang Temple, Twin Towers, Nanxiang Ancient Street, Gion, etc. Basically, 2 to 3 hours is enough to play.
The relatively small ancient town scenic spot is not crowded on weekdays, and the old street parking lot and the surrounding roadside can be parked. First, I visited Yunxiang Temple on a large scale. It was originally built as Nanxiang Temple of the White Crane (Liang Tianjian for four years). It was named Nanxiang because of the temple. The Nanxiang twin towers at the intersection of the street were built in the fifth generation period and are also one of the symbols of the ancient town. The garden is to collect tickets, and there are some stone bridges, ancient wells, and Shanmen ruins to see. The old street is relatively small and not very long, there are many shops along the street, and several restaurants known as the century-old store sell the famous Nanxiang Xiaolong.
Classic ancient town, not bad.
Very comfortable, not fast, peaceful, very relaxing
The first time I went to the old street of Nanxiang Ancient Town after the epidemic, it was still full of fireworks. It was very convenient to walk from the ancient garden road. The old street was not long. Maybe because of the epidemic, only one main road was left. Some places were blocked. The night view of the twin towers was still very beautiful, and the food stalls were crowded. Order Xiaolongbao, buy some snacks, and autumn sweet-scented chestnuts, accompanied by sweet-scented sweet-scented sweet-scented chestnuts, very satisfying evening...
Nanxiang Ancient Ming (chai) stream. The Liang Tianjian in the southern dynasty for four years (505), built the white crane Nanxiang Temple, Jiyi Temple into a town, named Nanxiang. Nanxiang Ancient Town is mainly renovated and expanded from Nanxiang Old Street. The old buildings in the ancient town are mainly houses in the Qing Dynasty, and there are also several small rivers passing through the town. In addition to the common restaurants and local specialty shops in the ancient town of China, Nanxiang Ancient Town also has ancient monuments such as Yunxiang Temple, Gion, and Twin Towers, which have a lot of history and humanistic heritage.
