应天书院位于商丘古城东南,北宋时与江西庐山的白鹿洞书院、湖南长沙的岳麓书院、河南嵩山的嵩阳书院并称为四大书院,范仲淹在此任教。应天书院的前身为后晋时杨悫所办私学,后经其学生戚同文努力,得以发展,“远近学者皆归之”。北宋政权开科取士,应天书院人才辈出,百余名学子在科举中及第的竟多达五六十人。宋真宗时,因追念太祖自立为帝,应天顺时,将宋太祖赵匡胤发迹之处宋州(今商丘)于1006年改为应天府,1014年又升为南京,处陪都地位。1009年,宋真宗将该书院这一府学改为南京国子监,使之成为北宋的最高学府之一。后该书院在曹诚等人尤其是在应天知府、著名文学家晏殊的支持下得以扩展。著名的政治家、文学家范仲淹等一批名人名师在此任教,更是人才辈出,显盛一时,后人还立有《范文正公讲院碑记》以兹纪念。攻略票价:大概10元,一般为商丘古城联票,军人免费,停车免贵。时间:宏伟新建筑,10—20分钟
应天书院,又称应天府书院、南京书院、睢阳书院、南都书院,位于河南省商丘市睢阳区商丘古城南湖畔,
应天府书院前身为睢阳书院,是五代后晋时的商丘人杨悫所创办。北宋大中祥符二年(1009年),宋真宗改升应天书院为府学,称为"应天府书院",并正式赐额"应天府书院"。 大中祥符七年(1014年),应天府(今河南商丘)升格为南京,成为宋朝的陪都,应天书院又称为"南京书院"。庆历三年(1043年),应天府书院改升为"南京国子监",成为北宋最高学府,同时也成为中国古代书院中唯一一座升级为国子监的书院。北宋书院多设于山林胜地,唯应天府书院设立于繁华闹市之中,人才辈出。随着晏殊、范仲淹等人的加入,应天府书院逐渐发展为北宋最具影响力的书院。书院内主要景点有:崇圣殿、大成殿、前讲堂、书院大门、御书楼、状元桥、教官宅、明伦堂、廊房等。
