Guangxiang Bridge

Guangxiang Bridge is located in the northwest of Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, next to the ring road. It is named after the original Guangxiang Temple by the bridge. The bridge runs north-south across the Old City River, connecting the upper road and the lower road at both ends. It is a single-hole semicircular stone arch bridge with a total length of 20 meters, a bridge width of 6 meters and a height of 4.20 meters. The Guangxiang Bridge was built in the first year of Yuanzhizheng (1341) and rebuilt in the first year of Ming Longqing (1567). Renovated in 1982. The strips and stones of the arch coupons are built vertically and side by side. The lotus seat pattern is engraved on the arch stone, and inscriptions such as "Namo Amitabha Buddha" and "Zhizhengxin has rebuilt the Guangxiang Bridge" are engraved on it. There are solid railings and lotus-covered pillars on the bridge, of which the words "Rebuilt on auspicious days in the first year of Longqing" are engraved on the northern pillar. The bridge is one of the well-preserved stone bridges in Shaoxing. It has certain practical value for the study of stone bridges in water towns.
