Tongguanyin Temple

The Tong Guanyin Temple, formerly known as Guangfu Lecture Temple, was built in the second year of Tianjian in the Liang Dynasty (503 AD), with a history of more than 1,500 years. It was once a place for eminent monks to lecture on scriptures and reached its peak during the Tang Dynasty. Because the temple originally enshrined a bronze Guanyin statue, it is also known as the Tong Guanyin Temple. Currently, the preserved buildings include the main hall, the Western Hall, the Temple Bridge and the Guangfu Pagoda.

There is a sea of ​​cherry blossoms in Tongguanyin Temple, with thousands of cherry blossoms. There are two varieties of cherry blossoms, red and white, at the foot of Liangdai Guangfu Pagoda. Every March, the road ends with a hidden fragrance, floating in the sea of ​​snow. The scenery of the ancient town, the spring scenery of the countryside, the lakes and mountains are all in sight.

The temple bridge built across the river in front of the Tongguanyin Temple is very simple. The edges on both sides are made of Wukang stone, carved with double dragons playing with pearls and swastika patterns, and are well-crafted. They are old objects from the Song Dynasty. After crossing the temple bridge and entering the mountain gate, you will see the main hall, which is a single-eaved hard-mountain building with a corridor in front. The hall is open-plan, without brackets, and the eaves purlins are directly pressed on the eaves columns. In front of the hall is a camphor tree with lush branches and leaves and a lush crown.

There is a double-step corridor in front of the downstairs, and a boat-shaped pavilion. In the corridor wall is a stele of Zhang Mojun's "Poem of Plum Blossoms". The inscription is clear, and the Zhangcao font is continuous and elegant.
