2005 In the year, it opened as a three-story art gallery with a full glass. I stopped by because it was just being held "William Maurice ― Design Trajectory with British Landscape". Wallpaper, furniture, books, tile works, etc. were exhibited in both the Fuken photographs of the land related to Maurice. In addition, the permanent exhibition was open to the public for free.
It is a beautiful glass-walled art gallery. I visited because the William Morris exhibition was being held. There was also a cafe space in the back, and it was an atmosphere that seemed to be relaxing.
When I went there, I was just doing a British karakuri toy exhibition. There were many comical and attractive karakuri, and it was good to be able to actually touch and enjoy it.
It is located near Tsuruoka Park. It is a bright and wide 々 space. You can visit the mini gallery-like location on the first floor for free. I think it's mainly for citizens, but it seems that there are plenty of special exhibitions, so tourists may enjoy it.
