Gamla Uppsala

Uppsala is a city in central Sweden, located about 70 kilometers north of the capital Stockholm. It is Sweden's fourth largest city with a population of 130,000 and is the religious center of Sweden, and the earliest Catholic Church in northern Europe, Domkyrkan, is located in the city.

The Vikings used the area as a government and religious center as early as the 3rd century. The mounds of buried Vikings important leaders can be seen next to Christian churches built on the site of the Vikings' old church. The church itself is interesting and worth a visit. There are many ways to get around but I recommend taking the bus. Simple, not expensive, just a bit fun!

Also known as "Gamla Uppsala", it was on foot from the dormitory when I was about to return home. I encountered a good weather. I walked slowly for about an hour and a half from the Wucun Cathedral. I walked on the road and saw that the vast earth under the blue sky and white clouds made people nostalgic. The real ancient city is in a small hillside village with a small church and cemetery, which is usually extremely quiet. Walking on the road for fear of destroying this peaceful atmosphere. It is suitable for a person's afternoon to find a quiet life.
