If there is one thing you shouldn't miss on your visit to Västerås it's Kyrkbacken. Stroll around. Read the signs to learn more about the buildings. Bring a camera!
We were there 20 years ago and it’s a cool place to visit on Vasteras The old vasteras keeps history alive- it’s somewhat dilapidated now but under construction and a must see in vasteras
A beautiful old district with wooden houses, calm and mesmerising. Such a shame that so many places like this in Sweden were destroyed in the recent decades and replaced by tasteless concrete.

Worth a walk, I suggest reading a couple of lines on why/how this district's cozy houses are built this way.
