芜湖天主教堂，由法国神父设计，1895年建成，面朝长江，教堂建筑为罗马风格，规模在华东地区仅次于上海徐家汇天主教堂，统领当时整个江南教区，为全国重点文物保护单位。天主教堂为砖木结构，呈十字，主教堂两边各有两座挺拔直立的钟楼，教堂免费对外开放

芜湖天主教堂是芜湖近代优秀历史建筑，距今已经有100年的历史了，是全国重点文物保护单位。天主教堂规模不小，在华东地区仅次于上海。于1887年由法国人建造，整体为砖木结构，整个呈十字，古罗马风格。主教堂两边各有两座挺拔直立的钟楼，整体是坐东朝西，前面就是长江滨江公园。教堂里面空间广阔，给人以神圣肃穆之感，长长的直廊，红色的桌椅，最中间的有三座祭台，正中间的是耶稣的养父圣约瑟，左侧是圣母玛利亚，右侧是圣子耶稣。往上看，在靠近廊柱和穹顶的交界处，有一幅幅精美绝伦的壁画，通体为彩色，里面讲述的都是圣经里的故事。它是芜湖中西方文化交流的见证者，也是一座建筑艺术经典。教堂免费对外开放，距离芜湖市中心也不是很远，交通很方便。

芜湖天主教堂（芜湖圣若瑟主教座堂）是位于安徽芜湖市中心吉和街28号的一座大型罗马风天主教堂，1887年由法国人设计监造，教堂为砖木石混结构.全国重点文物保护单位。

这个教堂在江边，前面还有圣母玛利亚的和耶和华的雕像。教堂很壮观，是全国排名第四的教堂，以前在江南地区很有名气。圣诞节和万圣节时里面人超多。斜对面是希尔顿逸林酒店。
