Very nice
We are staying in the area and were given a gift of food from our landlord, not knowing what it actually was, we gave it to the couple who live on the grounds of the shrine. The were very much appreci...
A shrine dedicated to a fox that says he helped Minamoto no Yoshitsune (Genkuro). It is located just halfway between JR and Kintetsu Yamato Koriyama Station. This area is an old downtown area where there used to be Yukaku. Even now, there are several old buildings with windows with several thin half-timber lattice. There was a guardian dog, a fox, in the precincts, but a wooden carving of goldfish, a specialty of Koriyama, was also covered. It seems that there are still quite a few worshipers.
What impressed me was that there were チエーンソーアート of "Nine-tailed Fox" and "Goldfish" in the precincts.

I visited the 13th Yamato Hina Festival (February 24, 2024 ~ March 3) because it is a 1ケ place at the Hina Exhibition Hall with 107 ケ in Yamato Koriyama City. What impressed me was that there were チエーンソーアート works of "Kuo no Kitsu" and "Goldfish" in the precincts (see attached photo). The fox statue at Inari Shrine is not unusual, but it is very rare when it comes to "Kuo no Kitsu". Also, "Goldfish" is ピッタリ at a shrine in Yamato Koriyama city. ...
Genkuro Inari Shrine. Although it is a sober Inari shrine, it is actually one of the three Inari shrines in Japan. Genkuro is derived from the name of Genkuro Yoshitsune. It is said that Minamoto no Yoshitsune was saved by the luck of Inari many times during the battle with Minamoto no Yoritomo. It has a very quiet appearance and does not make you feel like one of the three companies of Inari.

It was a quiet shrine.
I visited during the Hinamatsuri event. It was a quiet shrine with cute chicks decorated and fluffy flower scent.
