not touristy at all but very interesting site, and free! looks beautiful in the snow. really enjoyed this lovely place

The Heishuiguo Site is located12.5 kilometers northwest of Zhangye, 15 kilometers north-south and 10 kilometers east-west. It is a Neolithic ancient cultural site and is a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. There are Han Dynasty tombs in the Heishuiguo Site, about 4 square kilometers.

Heishuiguo Site: In fact, this name is not accurate, because the name is only available in the Qing Dynasty, and the reliable statement is from Heihe. But this ancient city appeared earlier than Zhang Shu. First, Xiaoyue's country was founded here, then the Xiongnu, and then the West Han Dynasty. The Heishuiguo ruins are divided into two cities in the north and south. The south city where the photo is located is built on hundreds of Han tombs. 黑水国遗址：其实这名字并不准确，因为这名字清朝才有，可靠的说法是源于黑河。但这座古城早于张掖出现。先是小月氏国在此建国，接着是匈奴，然后是西汉。霍去病千里奔袭匈奴的战役就发生在这里，金戈铁马气吞万里如虎，一战成名，斩敌首八千，赢得封狼居胥，那年他才18岁。此后汉武帝才在这里设张掖郡，相当于今天的深圳，是最早的经济特区，当年的古城中商贾林立一片繁华，如今，风流早被雨打风吹去，就连黑河也几经改道，沧海变桑田。黑水国遗址分南北两城，照片所在的南城建在数百座汉墓之上，古城内到处都是汉砖和各种朝代的陶器碎片，穿过远处的树林，还有才被发现不久的史前人类遗址。如此绝美地方竟然不收门票，也无游客，真是让人费解

很值得去看一看，虽然看到的是断墙残壁，但是很真实，人工没有打造过，没有什么保护措施，汽车可开到面前，围城里还有很多残砖陶片，已经准备保护啦，今年不去明年肯定是收费的。

如果你真的爱好历史和考古，就一定不要错过这个或许不能算景点的地方，毕竟就连当地人都不一定听说过这里。但是当你看到一片残垣断壁和满地盗洞，一定会觉得能来这里近距离触摸历史是件多酷的事！

‘隋朝韩世龙守黑水国驻此，有古垒四，去后一夕为风沙所掩。’黑水国古城打卡。这是一处没有被旅游开发过的原始遗迹，对于热爱历史的小可爱们来说值得一看。地方不是很好找。开车从张掖出发，沿国道，到一个沙漠研究所后再走1km左右，就能看到遗址的牌子了。从入口处往里开，会经过两片被保护的古城遗址，靠外的规模较小，靠里的规模比较大。Tips☆手机导航上搜“黑水国遗址”，目的地是错误的，需要往回走一段距离。☆路不好走，很磕，建议开越野车。☆遗址里面有大面积的沙漠，拿好装备。做好防晒。☆有很多小虫子和蜜蜂，最好包严实一点儿(´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀)
