The Chongqing People's Auditorium is very similar to Beijing's Temple of Heaven, very spectacular. The lights are turned on at night. If you want to enter it, the ticket is 8 yuan. Opposite is the Chongqing Museum, also known as the Chongqing Three Gorges Museum.
The Chongqing People's Auditorium is the first major building built under the auspices of the government after the liberation of Chongqing. Chongqing, which was the seat of the party and government leading organs in the southwest administrative region of China, was often held as the political, economic and cultural center of the southwest region. Foreign affairs reception activities and major conferences were often held. What is not matched by this was that there was no large conference that could accommodate thousands of people. There is no slightly decent guest house for reception of guests from both inside and outside, so under the chairmanship of Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping, He Long, the main leaders of the Southwest Military and Political Commission, he decided decisively in 1951 to immediately prepare a large house that can accommodate thousands of people. The auditorium and the annex are built a guest house. So, in June 1951, construction began, lasted nearly three years, before our eyes this solemn, gorgeous and exquisite classical building finally completed in April 1954. After the completion of the People's Auditorium in Chongqing, it not only became a well-deserved landmark building in Chongqing, but also was hailed as one of the ten largest buildings in New China in the 20th century. In 1987, a classic book of comparative architectural history co-authored and published by the Royal Institute of British Architects and a famous expert professor at the University of London came out. It first introduced the world to 43 famous buildings in China after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Among them, the People's Auditorium of Chongqing ranks second, which shows its important position in the history of human architecture. In addition, it has been selected as China's 20th century architectural heritage, Asia's 10th century classic architecture list, can get so many high-end evaluations and affirmations, in Chongqing's architecture can be said to be unique. The large square facing the auditorium was built when Chongqing was established in June 1997 when the municipality was established. In order to conform to the people's hearts, the municipal committee and the municipal government made a major decision to dismantle the wall of the people's auditorium and build the People's Square. The square was built in only 100 days, and it is a real People's Square. The auditorium and People's Square cover an area of 6.6 10,000 square meters.
Located at No. 173 Renmin Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, it was built in June 1951 and completed in April 1954. It is an antique ethnic complex. It is a masterpiece of the clever combination of traditional Chinese palace architectural style and large span structure of Western architecture. It is also one of the landmark buildings in Chongqing.
The interior of the Chongqing People's Auditorium is a circular, open and spacious, natural lighting and ventilation. It is a masterpiece of the clever combination of traditional Chinese national form architecture and large-span space structure of Western architecture.
Today is the Lantern Festival of the Year of the Rabbit. The weather is particularly good and the wind is beautiful. The Chongqing People's Auditorium and the relative Three Gorges Museum Square have a lot of people, showing a lively and peaceful holiday atmosphere...
