ZZuijindemingtian: Extremely satisfied, a fantastic hotel! The food, hot springs ♨️, and massages were all excellent. The service was also very attentive. For example, they made sure my child had slippers and hot spring attire daily. They even noticed that my child's supply was running low after a few days and preemptively offered an extra set – something not many places would do. The only thing to watch out for is the entrance, entrance, entrance!!! It's incredibly inconspicuous, blending in too perfectly with the airport ✈️ environment. We missed it several times on our first visit. P.S.: My wife absolutely loved the shampoo and shower gel set provided, so much so that we ended up buying a set to take home.

DDWS168: Great location as a first stop when arriving into CTS airport. It’s close by and convenient location. But what set apart this hotel are its restaurants. We had dinner and breakfast and both are excellent food quality and value for price. The breakfast at 3200 yen with crab soup is a value plus several made to order food items like the riceballs.

RRene923: Perfect location — the hotel is directly inside New Chitose Airport’s Domestic Terminal, which made our last night in Hokkaido so convenient. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for our luggage. We loved being able to walk straight to the airport shops, restaurants and souvenir stores without needing any transportation. The free access to the airport onsen was also a great bonus. Staff were friendly and check-in/check-out was quick and easy. Highly recommended if you have an early flight or want a hassle-free stay at New Chitose Airport. We would definitely stay here again!

MMic H: It’s very near to the chitose JR station, about less than 1 minutes walk. The breakfast is good though not much selection but tasty. Service staff is average as they didn’t share with us that we can choose another pillow but we knew it from other reviewers in trip, also didn’t share with us the lady public bath passcode. So I give service an average score. But still a good choice if you need to catch early flight for a night stay.

GGuest User: I saw comments mentioning a pick-up service from Chitose Station, so before checking in, I specifically emailed the hotel to confirm. They replied that I could take a taxi, hand the receipt to the front desk, and the hotel would reimburse the metered fare. However, upon checking in, the front desk refused to process the reimbursement, claiming I took a taxi from the 'wrong exit.' Chitose Station itself has two exits, and the hotel did not specify which exit to use in their email, nor did they mention any specific requirements for other taxi pick-up locations. I then showed the front desk the email the hotel had sent me before my stay. Even with that, we argued about the issue for a while before they finally agreed to process the reimbursement. During the process, the front desk repeatedly emphasized that this was an 'exception' and would not be handled this way in the future. If there were designated pick-up exits or location restrictions, the hotel could have clearly stated them in the email before check-in or on the booking platform. The fact that the front desk immediately identified that I took a taxi from the wrong exit after seeing the fare suggests that other guests have encountered similar issues before. Given this, the hotel should have proactively explained this in the email instead of waiting until the guest checks in to inform them. The room itself matched the pictures, and it felt like it had been thoroughly cleaned, but because the hotel is quite old, there were still some minor issues. The morning airport shuttle was very reliable, the driver was friendly, and it took about 10 minutes to reach the airport.

KKonstantin Glants: The Hotel has 3 buildings and a common parking area. It uses a self check-in/check-out system, which worked great. The building is beautiful and clean, there is an elevator so no need to carry your bags upstairs. The room itself is magnificent. It has everything you might need, including the washer, kitchenette, comfortable couches and tables with 4 chairs. The size of the room is decent as well, and 4 of us felt comfortable in it. Overall it's been a great stay. Thank you.

SSmile_peng: This hotel offers incredible value for money, with many thoughtful and considerate details. For example, there's a corner seat in the elevator and even an emergency first-aid kit. The shower area in the bathroom has a seat, which is convenient for children or the elderly. The facilities are new, clean, and very stylishly designed! Also, after 9:30 PM, there's a complimentary late-night snack service, which brings different guests together outside the restaurant to share a meal – a unique and charming travel experience. What's more, after a hot spring soak, there are free popsicles and Yakult, along with a selection of famous manga available for browsing, making you feel truly at home. The only minor drawback is the limited parking space, but fortunately, there are many paid parking lots nearby.

AAnne Cheah37: I arrived very early after taking an overnight flight. I asked the front desk if it was possible to check in earlier and mentioned that I was willing to pay an additional fee if needed. However, the front desk staff repeatedly told me that early check-in was not possible, and the tone was not very friendly. As a result, I had to wait until 3 p.m. while feeling very tired. The hotel room itself was clean and tidy, and all the necessary amenities were provided. I also had a very comfortable sleep that night.

Want to eat like a local? Don't miss out on these top Chitose dishes and foodie spots.

The trip is almost over, but you still crave one more bowl of ramen, want to sample some desserts, and buy some snacks to take home… Consider making New Chitose Airport another stop on your trip! 🍜🍦 🥢 Choose your favorite last meal. There's a wide selection of ramen, seafood, and desserts. The domestic terminal has many restaurants; check their locations before you go, as some are before security checks and may be in a different terminal than your flight. 🍪 Take home some treats. Cookies, chocolates, or cheesecakes – choose your favorite flavors and the number of people you're taking them for. Check the expiration dates, storage instructions, and baggage allowance. For chilled items, ask the store about proper packaging for travel. ☕ Have some time left? Take a break. A cup of coffee, a nice spot to watch the planes, or browsing a cafe that interests you can help make the end of your trip a lasting memory without having to try everything. 🚆 Plan your time first, then create your tasting list. Start with check-in closing times, baggage drop-off times, and boarding gate arrival times according to airline regulations. Then, allow time for travel, security queues, and terminal transfers. Especially on snowy days or in bad weather. 🛍️ A little tip before shopping: Pack your checked baggage neatly before checking it in. For food you'll be taking back to your country, check the requirements of your destination before purchasing. Before saying goodbye to Hokkaido, let's capture one more taste, one more photo, and then board the plane with a suitcase full of memories. 🤍✈️ #NewChitoseAirport #NewChitoseAirport #新千歳空港 #Hokkaido #HokkaidoTravel #HokkaidoSouvenirs #JapaneseSweets #JapaneseAirport #TravelJapan #TripMoments

1⃣️Address-Sapporo, Hokkaido/Chitose Airport Suburbs, Lake Shikotsu 2⃣️Environment-5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Located in a corner of Lake Shikotsu, it is quiet and private, surrounded by mountains and facing the lake view 3⃣️Facilities-4/5🌟🌟🌟🌟 A century-old hotel with an antique style. It is basically complete, but you need to pay attention to dinner. 4⃣️Features-5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A century-old secret hot spring, an open-air bath with a full view of the snow and lake, and a perfect Japanese flavor 5⃣️Value for money - 5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 $600 per person including breakfast, needless to say! 👉🏻Rating – 5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Lake Shikotsu is a very scenic spot near Sapporo or Chitose in Hokkaido. The famous "Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival" is held in winter, and there are also many hot spring hotels around Lake Shikotsu. The most special accommodation option is the century-old secret hot spring "Marukoma Onsen Ryokan". The word "secret" speaks for itself! The best feature is that you can sit in the "first row of lake views" in the snow and soak in the open-air nude hot spring. You will feel as if you are soaking in the hot spring together with Lake Shikotsu. It is an unparalleled enjoyment! However, Marukoma is not located in the Shikotsu Lake Onsen area, but is a 15-minute drive away. However, the hotel has a shuttle bus, and during the Shikotsu Lake Hyōto Festival, Marukoma Onsen Ryokan will also arrange a shuttle bus, so there is no need to worry too much. For me, traveling is about avoiding the crowds, going to a hot spring setting with the best view, and enjoying the vacation! At the bus stop on the Shikotsu Lake side, there will be a bus from Marukoma Onsen Ryokan to pick you up. If the schedule doesn't match, you can also ask the tourist center/enthusiastic people to call a taxi. Because Lake Shikotsu belongs to Chitose City, it is relatively close to New Chitose Airport, so you can arrange accommodation on the first or last night of your trip. Looking out from the room, you can see the unbeatable beauty of Lake Shikotsu. Be sure to choose a room on the lake side, and the price difference is less than a hundred yuan! But remember to book early, good things are scarce. If you cannot make a reservation, the restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lake. In addition, you can walk out of the small door next to the hotel to the private courtyard and lake dock to enjoy the scenery. Especially in winter, you must go out to take pictures and play in the snow. The scene is so beautiful. The sight of Lake Shikotsu covered with snow in winter is so beautiful! The other side of the courtyard is actually where the open-air bath is located, but the shelter is quite good, so there is no need to worry about exposure, and basically no one comes close because the snow is too deep! As for hot spring bathing, it goes without saying that it is a must-try. The open-air bath is really in the first row of the lake view. It really feels like you are soaking in Lake Shikotsu, blending into it. It's a wonderful feeling that is hard to describe. It's like soaking in the lake and enjoying the beautiful scenery, with hot springs gushing out below, so you won't feel cold and it's safe. All the accompanying pictures were taken on-site in the winter of 2023. I am really amazed at how there can be such a great hot spring environment and such an unbeatable scenery. This trip to Hokkaido was right, and we chose such a great century-old secret hot spring Marukoma Onsen Hotel, which is definitely worth a visit! 》It should be noted that this hotel has a toilet but no separate bathroom. However, everyone takes a shower after soaking in the hot spring so it doesn’t matter haha! But you need to pay attention to dinner. Usually in winter, you may have to make dinner reservations several months in advance. If you can't make a reservation, remember to eat at the hot spring street and then take the shuttle bus back, otherwise you can only buy frozen fried rice and pizza at the hotel. But I personally tasted it and it was actually quite delicious. The hotel thoughtfully provided several microwave ovens, probably because they were afraid that everyone would have nothing to eat, haha! #Japanese Hotel #Hokkaido #Lake Shikotsu #Travel

Hokkaido is the only airport where airplanes land without sea. It's about 1/3 the size of Incheon Airport, but most of the shopping and food are on the domestic side, so if you haven't tried Hokkaido ramen while traveling, there's duty-free food. And there's also Uniqlo, but it's cheaper because of the exchange rate? It's even cheaper because it's duty-free, so it's a good idea to stop by.^^
크리스구the lake is nice , Worthing to go there and watch the sunset , calm and quiet, romantic and. we took many photos there too . nice
_TI***j0The aquarium is well worth visiting. It is very large and you can see many rare tropical fish that are rarely seen. All the fish are divided into different areas. Each area has a dedicated guide and introduction. It is really an eye-opener.
M515shunyi1618Shikotsu-Toya National Park is quite large. I came here in spring, and it should be more beautiful in the winter snow season. According to the introduction, Shikotsu-Toya National Park has Shikotsu Lake, Toya Lake, etc. There are Chinese brochures in the visitor center, and the circular automatic guide can also select Chinese. There are also paintings introducing various birds throughout the year. I also encountered a children's painting exhibition jointly organized by the Chitose Ministry of the Environment and Kao
sAviOr_07I was surprised at the variety of salmon-related processed products available. It's also close to New Chitose Airport, so I recommend visiting this place for sightseeing.
wchisatowThis place is interesting and cost-effective, it is highly recommended👍👍
mini mouseThe Northland Horse Farm Theme Park is also a very interesting place. The entire horse farm is a very large space. The theme park has many parent-child projects, including some unique equestrian performances. You can watch regular equestrian performances and horse riding competitions.
小思文The ticket price was really cheap compared to the environment. My child was really enjoyed the garden and tiny house. Still need additional ticket from chocolate making session about 1800 JPY per head. Recommended if you have additional time in Sapporo. In latr oct, it is halloween theme.
TonkarnThe standard currency in Chitose is JPY
Current exchange rate approx.: SAR ≈42.1JPY (actual exchange rates depend on the bank). Currency exchange tips:
1. Exchange currency at your local bank before departure, as rates are usually better than at the destination.
2. You can also withdraw cash from local ATMs.
3. Avoid exchanging currency at airports or hotels, as they offer the worst rates.
