GGuest User: This time I am very fortunate to choose to stay in Genhe. I have done a lot of homework on the Internet before the trip. Because Genhe is for me the legend of the previous literary works, there is no reference. I must especially praise the hotel and the hotel owner. The room is very, very clean. The facilities are in place. The handsome boss is patient, careful and attentive. The details of the business philosophy are seen in the real chapter. He also enthusiastically pointed us to the nearby wetland park. Let us enjoy the beauty of the forest wetland in the summer in the cold extreme place of Genhe. I feel the humanistic feelings of the border town. I hope that the future will be heavy. The opportunity to return here, I wish the boss a prosperous career and all the best

WWeilaitiyanguan: I was very satisfied with this stay. I wanted to stay for another day, but the room was full, which was a pity. The hotel design is very good. There is background jazz music in the room, which is very atmospheric. There is a square outside the window, which is very exquisite. The sanitation is very clean, which is very important. The boss is also very enthusiastic, and there are two cats and a dog, who will follow the guests to take the elevator, haha.

GGuest User: This stay was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless and tidy; it felt so warm and comfortable as soon as I walked in. The bedding was soft, and the facilities were new – you could tell a lot of thought went into the details. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were incredibly attentive, which made my stay very reassuring. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Ccmyeng: The price was very reasonable. The service was excellent; the owner recommended I try the breakfast place across the street tomorrow morning—it's delicious and affordable. We had so much fun that we were late checking out, but they weren't rude at all, which was great.

GGuest User: I originally booked another hotel through someone else, but it was terrible, so I found this one on Ctrip at the last minute. The storefront is small but simple and elegant. Entering the lobby reveals a surprisingly spacious and charming interior with an elevator. The rooms are small yet exquisite, bright, clean, and cozy. The owner is very attentive; many small details are touching, such as the power not being cut off even without a room card, slippers provided in the bathroom, aromatherapy on the sink, and ventilation in all unoccupied rooms – it truly feels like home. The receptionists, a lovely lady and a handsome gentleman, were very helpful. The gentleman even offered to wash guests' cars, and the lady offered to guide guests to restaurants. Although the soundproofing when the doors are closed is a bit poor, it's great value for money and very comfortable.

GGuest User: The snow scene in Genhe may not be the most beautiful in the whole of Inner Mongolia, but sitting in the B&B in the forest, a southerner’s best expectations for the snow season have all come true. Environment: Compared with other more well-known (and more expensive) B&Bs, the location of this B&B is actually more unique. It's only one kilometer away from the busiest place in the city center, so it's convenient for eating or shopping. The most precious thing is that it is really ”sitting and looking at the forest”! The location is right on the edge of the Gen River. Directly south of the large floor-to-ceiling windows is the Watching Bridge and the forest. You can watch the sunrise on the left hand side around 7:30 every day and the sunset on the right hand side around 4 p.m. This should be unique in the entire Genhe! Facilities: The room is very warm, the design aesthetic is online, and it is comfortable to live in. When the weather is cold and you don’t want to go out, it’s good to stay in your room Service: The lady at the front desk and the boss are very enthusiastic. I originally planned to stay for two days and then leave Genhe for the next stop, but later I decided to stay for two more days. One day in the future I will definitely miss this wonderful time in Genhe. 50% of this wonderful time is because of this unique B&B. (I didn’t take any photos in the room, but the pictures were all taken on the terrace or side of the B&B)

Before coming to Inner Mongolia, my only imagination of Inner Mongolia was the endless prairie. Only after truly stepping onto this land did I realize that Inner Mongolia is so much more than just prairies. 🌿 Dense primeval forests, winding rivers, crystal-clear lakes, and hills covered with cattle and sheep. 🐑 Look up to see clear blue skies and soft white clouds. ☁️ Spending the whole day immersed in the pristine mountain and wilderness scenery, all fatigue and anxiety are quietly soothed away. ✨ I finally understood the romance of the textbook phrase "the wind blows, the grass bends, and cattle and sheep appear" with my own eyes. This midsummer, you must head to Hulunbuir for a free and healing prairie getaway. 🌤️ . ✈️ Transportation Fly directly to Hailar and start a 6-day pristine Hulunbuir loop tour. . 🚘 6-Day Off-the-Beaten-Path Loop (Authentic and direct) Day 1: Hailar → Morigele River → Private Ranch Crossing → Yatuke No-Man's Land → Wetland Crossing → Ergun (Stay in Ergun) Day 2: Ergun → Yuanbaoshan Crossing (Wetland/Wheat Fields/Birch Forest Secret Spot) → Kalu'ben Mountain → Xing'an Deer Park → Moerdaoga (Stay in Moerdaoga) Day 3: Moerdaoga → Greater Khingan Mountains Hinterland Crossing → Moerdaoga National Forest Park → Forest Train → Linjiang Town (Overlook the China-Russia border river from Shenxianpo) → Enhe (Stay in Enhe) Day 4: Enhe → Enhe Back Mountain → Smiley River → Valley of the Wind → China-Russia Border Line → Horseback riding in Heishantou to chase the sunset 🐎 (Stay in Heishantou, bonfire party at night 🔥) Day 5: Heishantou → Visit a local nomadic family → Border Defense Highway → Hulun Lake → Manzhouli (Stay in Manzhouli) Day 6: Manzhouli → Matryoshka Scenic Area → National Gate → Wedding Palace → Windmill Highway → Mammoth Park → Return to Hailar for departure . 🌈 Travel Tips 1️⃣ In the vast wilderness and no-man's lands of Hulunbuir, the signal is weak. 📵 Most of the stunning, off-the-beaten-path secret spots along the way are hidden within off-road routes. These niche locations have complex road conditions, and it's hard to find these less-crowded, beautiful spots on your own. If it's your first time, I recommend booking a local chartered car. 🚙 The drivers are experienced and know the way, taking you straight to the pristine, untouched scenery, making your trip easy and worry-free. 2️⃣ There has been a lot of rain in Hulunbuir this year, and the grasslands are now fully green. 🌱 The prairie is at its most beautiful time of the year, so if you're planning a trip, just go for it! 3️⃣ The temperature difference between day and night on the prairie is huge. 🥶 During the day, the sky is clear, and you can wear dresses for photos. 👗 However, the cold wind is very noticeable in the morning and evening, so be sure to bring a thick jacket. Girls can also bring a pair of boots 👢, which are more convenient for walking on the prairie. The UV rays on the plateau are strong, so don't forget to protect yourself from the sun. ☀️

If there really is an ice and snow fairy tale in this world, it must be Hulunbuir in winter✨ In the extreme cold of -30℃, you'll find rime, reindeer, frozen lakes, and border towns. Riding horses across the vast snowy plains, swinging into the wind and snow on the snowy swings of the Morigele River toward the entire white wilderness, and quietly waiting for the morning mist of the Unfrozen River—this kind of romance is something I'll remember for a lifetime🥹 Sharing my 18 photos, I fell into the white dream of the north and haven't been able to walk out of it for a long time~ Photo 1/4/17: Arxan Blue House🏠 The tour leader helped with aerial photography. Long, thick down jackets, thick fleece-lined pants, waterproof snow boots, trapper hats, thick gloves, and face masks—get it all ready. Stock up on heat packs and stick them on your hands and feet🧤 ▪️Camera: Low temperatures drain batteries fast! Keep spare batteries warm close to your body, otherwise, they'll shut down after a couple of shots📷 ▪️Transportation: Attractions in Hulunbuir are very far apart in winter. Hiring a car or joining a reliable small group is the most worry-free option. Driving on snow is high-risk, so self-driving is not recommended🚗

This autumn, the Greater Khingan Mountains suddenly went viral. Opening my phone, the screen was filled with golden birch forests and winding river bends; Xiaohongshu seemed desperate to push all of Inner Mongolia into my face. After seeing so many recommendations, I got restless—in late September, I decided to go chase the autumn. The first hurdle was the flight. Hailar sounds like a place you can just fly to easily, but when I checked the prices, they were more expensive than going to Sanya. Then I checked car rentals; never mind off-road vehicles, even bicycles were almost sold out. I stared at my phone for 3 seconds and decided to change my plan: fly to Harbin, take the high-speed train to Qiqihar, and rent a car there to drive west. I picked up a Tank 300 off-road vehicle in Qiqihar, stocked up on some dry rations and snacks, and hurried out of the city. The route was full of golden rice fields during the harvest; Qiqihar truly lives up to its name as the "Great Northern Granary." The sunlight hit them, making them shine with a bright yellow, as if someone had deposited autumn here first. I was driving easily and in a good mood, until the sky suddenly turned overcast. The rain started just like that, with clouds pressing down low, smearing the whole sky into a mass of gray. The road was wet and slippery, winding forward, with the forests on both sides a mix of yellow and green, as if the rain had washed away a layer of saturation. I turned the wipers to the max, and they frantically swished back and forth on the windshield, as if arguing with the rain. The rain didn't stop until I entered Hulunbuir. As soon as the sky cleared, the whole scene changed completely. The sky was a brilliant blue, the clouds were plump and white, and the vast grasslands were covered with light yellow meadows. Round hay bales were scattered across the fields, like balls of yarn the earth had accidentally dropped. In the distance, volcanoes stood quietly, steady and calm, as if holding a meeting that had lasted for tens of thousands of years. Cattle and sheep walked slowly on the grass, not even lifting their heads, completely unconcerned about whether the Greater Khingan Mountains were popular or not. Their attitude was clear: you chase your autumn, I'll eat my grass. I drove inward along the north line of the Morigele River. On both sides of the road were endless grasslands, and the further in I went, the quieter it became. The river wound through the grasslands like a blue ribbon ruffled by the wind. By sunset, the sun slowly sank, and ten thousand rays of golden light broke through the clouds, covering the entire river surface with scattered gold. The distant grasslands receded in layers, and the twilight gradually stained the sky, leaving only a line of gentle orange-red on the horizon. I stood by the river, and the wind blew over, cool and carrying the mixed scent of grass and soil. It was so empty that I could only hear my own breathing. This was the first day of chasing autumn in the Greater Khingan Mountains; I hadn't even reached the mountains yet, and the scenery on the road had already started giving me a preview. Tomorrow I continue north, and they say the best is yet to come. Hailar Morigele River Minimalist Guide 1. South Bank (Official Scenic Area): Navigate directly to "Morigele River Scenic Area," go to Observation Decks 1–3, and climb up to overlook the winding river. 2. North Line (Niche Self-Drive): Navigate in segments or set waypoints: Tuga Camp → Qushui Yuntian → Mabei Mountain → North Visitor Center. Drive along the north bank to see the grassland river bends along the way. The small hill near the North Visitor Center is the sunset spot for the north line, suitable for photographing the golden river at sunset; I personally recommend the north line, but be careful not to drive on the grasslands without permission. Upon arrival, your tour leader will provide free pick-up and drop-off 🚗. ✅ Trip suggestions: There is basically no signal in many areas of the Hulunbuir border and the Greater Khingan Mountains 📶. Many beautiful landscapes are not in traditional scenic spots but are hidden along off-the-beaten-path routes. Therefore, self-driving is generally not recommended, as it is inconvenient and you won't fully enjoy the experience. We have chosen the small-group, pure sightseeing customization from our old friends at Sunshine Travel Agency many times! Everything including travel, accommodation, and activities is covered, highly recommended!! 👍 The local guide is familiar with niche spots, taking us away from the crowds to discover many wild autumn views. We traveled along the most beautiful autumn sightseeing route in the Greater Khingan Mountains, with golden trees on both sides of the road—it was breathtakingly beautiful 😭. The villages along the way also looked like scenes from an oil painting! 🖼️ Strolling along a path covered in ginkgo leaves, with sunlight filtering through the golden foliage and pedestrians walking leisurely, the whole world becomes gentle~ 🍂 No matter how good the scenery is, it's nothing compared to seeing it with your own eyes. Go and embrace your most beautiful autumn! 😭✨

But Hulunbuir truly achieved it. 🍂 Some journeys are dedicated to the unique romance of autumn 🍁 The northern autumn wind sweeps across Hulunbuir, the earth sheds its green, and unfolds an endless, gilded landscape. There is no preset script; the vast wilderness is the best theater for stories. On this journey north, I ventured into the autumn of Hulunbuir and completed the loop: 📍 Hailar → Ergun → Enhe → Shiwei → Moerdaoga → Genhe → Hailar Arriving at the Ergun River Valley, I truly witnessed what it means for the world to be vast. 🏞️ The river winds through golden meadows, the sunset descends, the evening breeze scatters the afterglow, grass waves surge, and cattle and sheep are scattered across the wilderness. The Honor phone in my hand captures the twilight and also records me standing in this world. 🌄 The meaning of travel is never just the destination, but awakening the desire in your heart to be different, and immersing yourself in the vast mountains and seas. Driving into the forest area, golden birch forests greet you. 🌳 The plain white trunks are set against trees full of autumn leaves, with dappled golden light filtering through the branches. No need to pose deliberately; just walk through the forest and let the fallen leaves fly with the wind. Use the lens to record the moment—running, stopping, gazing—this natural vitality is the most moving picture 📸 Heading north, grasslands and forests alternate. Climbing high to look out over the landscape, listening to the evening breeze by the river, laughing freely by the road. The photo album slowly accumulates sunsets, tree shadows, and wind, preserving the vibrant and relaxed self from the journey. Gradually I understand, the most wonderful moments are never at the destination. They are hidden in the wilderness autumn wind, the light beams in the forest, the fleeting sunset glow, and the moments that make your heart skip a beat when pressing the shutter 📷 It is the enthusiasm to rush to the mountains and seas, and also the beginning of breaking free from constraints ✨ We are always used to waiting until everything is ready before setting off, but golden autumn won't wait for anyone, and if you miss the scenery, you have to wait another year ⏳ Dare to think and dare to be different, which means putting down hesitation and setting off immediately. No need to wait for the spotlight; the mountains, riversides, and roads are all your stage. It turns out that the most moving stories in the world are always born on the road ahead 🌾 On this journey, I used my Honor phone to capture thousands of moments in the wilderness. The 2026 Global Call for Entries is underway. If you are also on the road, pick up your phone and record your own travel highlights 📱🌍

🏡 Our road trip along the northern route of Hulunbuir with the kids led us to our biggest surprise of the entire trip: the Hongdou Impression Homestay in Mangui. Tucked away by the vast forests of the Greater Khingan Mountains, it’s quiet, peaceful, and far from the hustle and bustle of the city. With excellent privacy, it’s perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The overall atmosphere is gentle and healing, with a clean, elegant, woodland-style courtyard. Parking is convenient, making it especially friendly for families on a road trip. ✨ We stayed in the Deluxe Family Room, which is an excellent choice for traveling with kids. The room is spacious and airy with a well-thought-out layout that doesn't feel cramped, offering high comfort for a family-specific room type. The decor features warm, natural wood tones that are clean, refreshing, and full of ambiance. It gets plenty of natural light, and you can see the autumn colors of the forest right from the window. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and dry, and the heating was consistent and comfortable—perfect for the cold late autumn weather in the north. The kids slept soundly and felt right at home. 💕 The homestay’s family-friendly details were incredibly thoughtful; they truly understand the needs of traveling with children. The amenities are complete, with all daily necessities provided. The room has excellent soundproofing, ensuring a quiet night without noise, which guarantees the kids get plenty of sleep. The owner is gentle, attentive, and warm, patiently sharing local travel routes and specialty foods. There’s no commercial stiffness here—just genuine warmth that makes you feel as secure and comfortable as if you were at home, even while traveling far away. 🍂 Once settled, we took the kids to immerse ourselves in the autumn colors of the northern forests. In autumn, Mangui is wrapped in a sea of golden forests. The scenery is vast yet gentle, making it perfect for slowing down and enjoying a leisurely family stroll. 🌲 Walking into Yikesama National Forest Park, the healing power of the pristine autumn mountains and forests is off the charts. The mountains are layered with birch and larch forests, filled with gilded autumn colors. As the breeze blows, leaves flutter down, creating an incredible atmosphere. The air in the forest is fresh and moist, and the streams babble along. Walking through the woods holding the kids' hands, touching the beauty of nature up close—every photo we took turned out to be a fresh, healing family masterpiece. ⛰️ In our spare time, we climbed to the top of Ningcui Mountain Park to overlook the entire town of Mangui. The distant mountains were painted in layers of color, and the forest stretched on endlessly. The small town lay quietly nestled in the mountains, peaceful and serene. Looking out over the northern landscape with the kids, feeling the vastness and grandeur of the Greater Khingan Mountains, we spent a relaxed and cozy family time amidst the natural scenery. 🌙 Autumn dyes the forest, a gentle rendezvous. The most beautiful family trip is one where you head toward the autumn colors of the mountains and rivers, and also find a gentle place to return to. In Mangui, we took in all the limited-edition autumn light of the north, rested our weary selves in a heartwarming homestay, and found both companionship and scenery—the best healing journey for autumn.
Genhe Aoluguya Reindeer Tribe: A great family trip! 👍😊 1. Visited on September 26th, catching the last vestiges of autumn colors; there were still 30% of the autumn foliage remaining in the Greater Khingan Mountains larch forest. 💪 2. There were about 10-20 reindeer and sika deer each, a great experience for taking photos. 3. The Evenki folk song and dance performance allowed us to experience the cultural philosophy of this ancient people, living among the deer and making the forest their home. 🌈 4. The staff were very dedicated, displaying the ruggedness and generosity of northerners. Summary: For seeing deer in Genhe, this is the top choice.
新世界旅行This place feels like a primeval forest, mysterious and rugged. My husband and I enjoyed our first road trip to the scenic area. We drove along a road dotted with little red flags, enjoying the forests, lawns, wildflowers, and streams along the way. It was beautiful! It's said to be the largest wetland in Hulunbuir and well worth a visit. It's very close to Genhe City, but don't be mistaken; it's easy to find the Ergun Wetland online, but it's far from Genhe. The park offers a resort, reindeer trekking, rafting, and more.

The reindeer are amazing. They will chase you and nudge you when they see food. If you don’t take the food, they will let you take pictures calmly. I suggest you don’t buy feed to feed them.
羽~~38 kilometers away from Mangui Town is the Iksama Scenic Area. "Iksama" is the Ewenki language, which means "beautiful and wide river" in Chinese. Iksama Resort is located on the east side of the Iksama Bridge, built by the mountains and rivers. The resort has wooden houses, yurts, swimming pools, wildlife parks, forest rest gardens, etc. There is a big willow tree in the center of the resort. It is a single tree that blocks out the sun and can be used by tourists to cool off in summer. About 25 kilometers north of the Iksama Resort, there is a very rare Siberian red pine in the Greater Khingan Range. There are 61 trees in total, all of which are middle-aged forests. Siberian red pine is a famous tree species in the cold temperate coniferous forests of Eurasia and can be called the "King of Taiga". When they were discovered in the early 1950s, they were mistaken for red pines. It was not until Professor Zhao Guangyi of Northeast Forestry University and others conducted nearly a decade of intensive research that they were confirmed to be Siberian red pines. They are revered as "sacred trees" by the Ewenki people. Whenever an Ewenki passes by, they hang various ornaments on the trees and pay homage to them. The origin of these more than 60 Siberian red pines remains a mystery.
chenweiwenArrived at 8pm in Genhe, the temperature was 10°C, and after 10pm the temperature dropped to 4°C, which is indeed the coldest place in the world.
