Chouyatoulan: For the National Day holiday, three families of friends and I chose this family-friendly hotel that I had been eyeing for a long time. The hotel's facilities really attracted me. Although there were mixed reviews, after comparing several options, I still settled on this one. Aside from the price, everything else was very satisfying. The stay experience was great. Even before checking in, a butler added me on WeChat to guide me, and was always responsive to my requests. Butler Taozi was excellent and patiently answered all my questions. The room was spacious, and the view from the balcony was expansive. The bathroom was very large, and there was also a big bathtub on the balcony, which the three little ones thoroughly enjoyed for their bubble bath. The breakfast variety was quite rich, with many specialty dishes. The hotel also has several third-party restaurants, offering a wide selection including糟粕醋 (Zhaopocu), a buffet, and Thai cuisine. The hotel has a large water park and a kids' splash pad that closes at 7 PM, as well as a main pool that closes at 10 PM. There's also an infinity pool on the 11th floor which also closes at 10 PM, which is very convenient for guests. Behind the hotel is the beach, perfect for photos in the morning. There are also many water activities. If only I had more time, I would have loved to stay another night.

Guest User: The butler reached out a day in advance to confirm my needs and even upgraded me to a Loft with a full sea view, free of charge. When I arrived near the hotel, the butler came out to greet me and helped park my car. My room was on the 3rd floor, and the Loft was split into two levels. Upstairs, there was a large bed, and downstairs, a slightly smaller double bed without a window, but with a huge living room offering a full sea view. There's also a stunning sea-view bathtub, perfect for watching the sunset paint the sky in oranges – absolutely breathtaking! The hotel exits right onto the beach at Chiling Scenic Area. Next door is 'Tan,' a fusion restaurant with a Yunnan-Guizhou flavor; the food was generally delicious. Breakfast, which was a set menu, was also served there. It's incredibly convenient for beachcombing or a leisurely stroll along the shore, and there's a food street right outside. The hotel even included a complimentary travel photography service.

yamantaka: The sea view was absolutely stunning, and my kids loved it! Head up to the 7th floor rooftop for an even more amazing sunrise and sunset experience. The front desk service was excellent too; they were very prompt with printing and opening doors for us. It's a testament to their popularity that there's a constant stream of guests at the front desk, even at this time of year. The surrounding area, a Tanka fishing village, has a relaxed, down-to-earth vibe that we really enjoyed. In the evening, we could stroll along the boardwalk on the opposite beach and even saw some 'catch-the-sea' aunties (women foraging for seafood). The only minor drawback was that the cleanliness could have been a little better.

As a hot spring-themed hotel, the soaking experience is top-notch, and the resort vibe is spot on~ ⚠️ Check-in & Stay Tips to Avoid Pitfalls However, having stayed here during the National Day golden week, I'd like to share a few genuine thoughts: 1️⃣ Allow extra time for check-in: It was exceptionally busy during the holiday. After finishing the paperwork, it took nearly an hour before our room was ready. I’d recommend staggering your check-in time or communicating your arrival time in advance. 2️⃣ Room location to avoid: We were assigned the very last room at the end of the hallway on the ground floor. While the long walk wasn't a huge deal, lying in bed made it painfully obvious to notice the low-frequency vibration noise from outdoor equipment, which really took a toll on sleep quality 😴 I suggest proactively asking at the front desk if you can be assigned a room away from the mechanical rooms. 3️⃣ Hot spring experience: The soaking experience itself is great, seeing as this is the hotel's main highlight. I recommend setting aside plenty of time to fully unwind and enjoy it. Despite a few minor hiccups with the check-in process and room location this time around, the hotel's hardware quality and hot spring experience are still well worth recognizing. If you visit outside of peak season and manage to snag a good room, the overall resort experience should be much better~ Just remember to make room location a top priority when you go!

Spent two days in Lingshui and finally understood what "uncrowded and beautiful" means 😭 Fishing boats in Chiling, little monkeys in Huling 🐒 Coastal roads so beautiful you won't want to step on the gas... No tickets required for the whole trip, everything is free!! ✅ Compiled my favorite travel route, just follow it~ Stop 1: Chiling An unspoiled little fishing village with almost no tourists. Colorful fishing boats are parked on the beach. At sunset, the light hits the boats like an oil painting. Any live photo you take looks great 📷 Stop 2: Clearwater Bay Red and white lighthouse with fine white sand; it actually squeaks when you step on it!! The sand is so fine lol~ Uncrowded and photogenic. Walk to the side and you'll find a large lawn and Longtou Ridge. Climb the wooden boardwalk to overlook the entire Clearwater Bay coastline. Locals also come here for beachcombing. Stop 3: Huling Black reefs with deep blue water. Drive to the end and you'll find the viewpoint. The water is super clean, like a glass sea, and very few people know about it! There are also many little monkeys 🐒 you can feed. Stop 4: Shuikou Bridge Feels even more beautiful than the ones in Wanning or Sanya. Standing on the bridge overlooking the coastline, the sand spit and Coconut Island are so pretty!! It's also a great place for paddleboarding. Stop 5: Xiangshui Bay Coastal Road Lingshui's version of the most beautiful road, with several consecutive S-curves, rocky coastlines, and coconut groves. Go on a sunny day; the blue sea is absolutely stunning. Stop 6: Tinglan Coast Yellow thatched huts with the sea and coconut groves; it's so comfortable I didn't want to leave. Or head to Lian'an Sea Turtle Town; walk to the end of the pink sightseeing path and you'll reach the beach. Stop 7: Awen Surfing Right by the roadside in Xiangshui Bay. It's very close to Riyuewan but much quieter!! There's a coconut swing, and the sunset glow here is especially beautiful. About food: 🥥 Qiongxi Restaurant: Authentic Hainan cuisine. The coconut-baked Wenchang chicken is amazing! Their sweet soup is also very authentic. 🍲 Taiqiong Zaopo Vinegar Hot Pot: A Hainan specialty sour soup 🍲, celebrity-approved. It's tangy and appetizing. I was amazed the first time I tried it. Zaopo vinegar hot pot with seafood is incredible. Have some Qingbuliang after the meal to cleanse the palate. 🦞 No. 87 Fishing Boat Seafood Stall: A seafood stall recommended by locals! Seafood is caught and cooked fresh. They also have stir-fries with "wok hei." They offer both light and bold flavors, making it suitable for families with kids. 🦆 Hupo Vanilla Duck: Braised with vanilla herbs, the sauce is flavorful, and the meat is firm but not dry! Their stir-fried ice is also amazing. 🥥 Dedia Coconut Chicken: The coconut chicken hot pot I eat every time I come to Lingshui! Using 3 coconuts as the soup base to cook Wenchang chicken is truly amazing, fresh, tender, and sweet! I order the black truffle chicken oil rice and shaved ice every time; they disappear the moment they hit the table~ ✅ You can fly directly to Haikou, Sanya, or Qionghai. Rent a car 🚗 upon arrival and drive along the coastal road; it's beginner-friendly. ✅ It only takes half an hour to get to Lingshui from Wanning or Sanya. ✅ Lingshui is quiet and off the beaten path. It's not crowded even during summer vacation, making it perfect for taking kids beachcombing.
Lingshui in the off-season is my ideal place for a family getaway😭 The weather is just right, the seawater is incredibly blue, and most importantly, it's not crowded! Whether you're traveling with kids or just looking for a relaxing family vacation, it's perfect🏖️ I've compiled this practical guide for eating and exploring after visiting with my kids multiple times. Feel free to copy my itinerary👇 🚘5-day, 4-night vacation itinerary Day 1: Freedom Lighthouse → Clearwater Bay Beach → Taiqiong Zao Po Cu Hot Pot → Raffles Lawn → Longtou Ridge 📍Navigate directly to the "Wane Nomad Beach Bar." You can see the lighthouse, coconut groves, the ocean, and the large lawn all along the coast. You can also catch a stunning sunset in the evening🌅 Walking along the beach with your kids, with the clear water and the sunset, the atmosphere is just perfect~ Day 2: Lian'an Returnee Town → Xincun Sea Catching → Xincun Night Market The scenery at Lian'an Returnee Town is beautiful, with vast coconut groves + thatched cottages, and the seawater is crystal clear🌊 👉If you want to go sea catching, navigate to "Nanwan Monkey Island Pier Parking Lot." Take the sea bus for 8 RMB per person to the other side for free sea catching. There are plenty of starfish and sea urchins; you'll have a full harvest just by picking them up🦀 In the evening, head to the Xincun Night Market food street for all kinds of local specialties like Qingbuliang (sweet soup), grilled oysters🦪, and Lingshui sour noodles. You'll eat until you're stuffed. Day 3: Fenjiezhou Island day trip The island has beautiful glass-clear water, cliffside wooden houses, and you can see manta rays and visit the Ocean Theater! I recommend getting on the island at 8:00 AM to avoid lines⏰ 🚶Walking route: Ocean Theater - Rainbow Road - Moonlight Castle - Beach Bathing Area - Manta Ray 🚌Sightseeing bus route: Datongtian Station - Wind-Moving Stone - Huanxi Hall - Yuefeng Pavilion Day 4: Coconut Island → Xiangshui Bay Road → Awen Surfing This route is less crowded and has great scenery🌴 There are hidden beaches, beautiful coastal roads, and coconut grove swings… You can dig for sand, collect seashells, and take photos on the beach, or go surfing. The whole trip is relaxing and fun🏄 Day 5: Awen Surfing Shop at Xiangshui Bay → Coconut Grove Boardwalk at Clearwater Bay You can sit on a hammock or swing, feel the sea breeze, drink coconut water, and just zone out🥥 Navigate to the Westin Blue Bay. Walk 200 meters to the left along the beach, and you'll find the Coconut Grove Boardwalk. The sunset and evening glow are beautiful✨ 🏠Stay: Clearwater Bay is a great option. The sea views are beautiful, the beach is clean, and it's convenient for dining, visiting attractions, and getting around. 🍲Clearwater Bay food: 🥢Taiqiong Zao Po Cu Hot Pot: A local Hainanese hot pot specialty. The sour and spicy soup base is very appetizing. The seafood and beef are delicious when shabu-shabu'd. The shaved ice is great. If you have kids, you can order the coconut milk yin-yang pot, and the Wenchang chicken is especially tasty. 🥢No. 87 Fishing Boat Seafood Stall: The seafood is fresh. The black pepper crab and oyster rice are delicious and authentic. 🥢Dadia's Coconut Chicken: They chop the coconuts on-site for the soup base. The soup tastes sweet and refreshing, and the chicken is tender. 🥢Hupo Vanilla Duck: The duck is slowly stewed until the meat is tender and flavorful. 🥢Qiongxi Restaurant: Local Hainanese cuisine. The environment is suitable for gatherings and dates. I really fall in love with Lingshui over and over again! If you're bringing your kids for a vacation, just go for it without hesitation🥰
Travel philosophy: save where you can, spend where it counts. We are the Summer Family, and we love sharing family travel guides~ Today, I'm continuing to share another hotel from our Hainan trip.
