GGuest User: Located on a city street, with various shops nearby. The front desk is staffed from 2 PM onwards. It's a 3-minute walk to Lake Wanaka, and about a 25-minute leisurely stroll to the Lone Tree. Enjoying the natural scenery along the way in the early morning is very pleasant and comfortable. If you want to stargaze at night, even walking to the nearby lake, you'll still be affected by the brightness of the streetlights. It's next to a large supermarket and a 5-minute walk to the food truck park, making it convenient for finding food. There are fewer parking spaces than rooms, so if the lot is full upon arrival, you'll need to park in a nearby park, and be mindful of the paid parking hours. The room has a sofa, a full dining table and chairs, a bar, and a basic kitchenette. However, the pot had food residue, which made us question the overall cleanliness of the utensils and made us hesitant to use them. The fixed showerhead in the bathroom was a bit inconvenient, and the room's brightness was dimmer than shown in the photos.

KKarn zhu: First off, this is an RV park, not a hotel. We stayed here for two nights while self-driving around the South Island. The three of us squeezed into a tiny room, and the toilet was a few minutes' walk outdoors. Plus, you had to rent kitchenware like pots and pans for an extra 10 dollars a day.

Ccyyqq: The hotel environment is great, with a quiet surroundings and beautiful scenery. It's also conveniently located for driving to Lake Wanaka and the city center. The staff were enthusiastic, and my check-in experience was very good. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with most facilities available, although some showed a little wear and tear. Overall, it offers good value for money, making it suitable for self-driving trips and holidays.

LLonelySpace: Extremely satisfied! The family room had one king bed and two twin beds, with two separate rooms so everyone could sleep comfortably without disturbing each other. There was a heater inside and air conditioning outside. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils and dishwashing tools, so we could cook our own meals. The front desk offered midday service where we could borrow cooking oil and salt, which was perfect for a self-drive trip. The hotel itself felt like a small park – very quiet with nice views and easy to find. If I visit Wanaka again, I would definitely consider staying here. Full marks! A special thanks to the front desk lady who lent us oil and salt! We were a bit rushed at check-out time, and she even helped us extend our check-out by a little bit, haha. Absolutely wonderful!

GGuest User: This place is like a hostel in a small town, about a 10-15 minute walk from where the Intercity bus drops you off. I arrived early and couldn't check in yet, but I was able to store my luggage. Be aware that there's no elevator to the second floor, so you'll need to carry your bags up yourself. Surprisingly, the room had an electric blanket! Though it wasn't very cold when I was there, so I didn't need it. There's no fridge in the room; if you need to chill drinks, you'll have to use the large fridge in the laundry room. There's a small restaurant next to the front desk. I remember seeing a lot of people chatting there in the evening, mostly Chinese travelers sharing tips. You can help yourself to coffee, hot cocoa, orange juice, etc., in the restaurant anytime. Breakfast was prepared by a lovely lady; her maple pancakes were absolutely delicious! She was also incredibly patient and helpful. I asked her about getting a taxi to Roy's Peak, and she even helped call one for me. She thoughtfully reminded us to note down the taxi's number and the hotel's address for the return trip. (Here's a side note: as the taxi approached Roy's Peak, the driver, a kind lady, thoughtfully asked if we knew which number to call for the return trip. After I confirmed I did, she patiently asked if my phone had a local SIM or if I was roaming. She then explained that if roaming, I'd need to dial the New Zealand country code first. She was truly wonderful!)

Hhxyz: - host was really friendly and approachable. - carpark was first come first served. if carpark is full, there’s parallel street parking beside the motel. - cookware and cutlery were dirty so we had to wash everything before use. - we were located on the second floor, had to carry our luggage up the stairs. - 10 minutes walk to Lake Wanaka. 5-10 minutes walk to supermarket.

December is early summer in New Zealand, with gentle, bright sunshine and the entire South Island bathed in clear blues and healing greens🌿 Lupines are in bloom, seagulls are flying~ If you have the chance, you must come and see New Zealand in this season🌳 ✅ Wanaka, Wanaka Station Park, P1 ✅ Lake Pukaki, P2.4 ✅ Queenstown, Deer Park, P3.5 ✅ Wanaka, lakeside, P6 ✅ Akaroa, Shamarra Alpaca Farm, P7 ✅ Wanaka, That Wanaka Tree, P8 ✅ Lake Tekapo, lakeside, P9.17 ✅ Wanaka, Clutha River, P10 ✅ Queenstown, lakeside, P11.12.13 ✅ Lake Pukaki, Peter's Lookout, P14.15 ✅ Queenstown, scenery on the road, P16 ✅ Dunedin, Sandfly Bay, P18 New Zealand's summer is truly so beautiful it leaves you speechless😭 Snow-capped mountains, lakes, fields of flowers, alpacas... every frame is wallpaper-worthy📸 Save this checklist, ladies, and let's go together this summer!🚗💨

No nonsense, let's get straight to the point✍🏻 Wanaka Luxury Apartments Room types: Studio/1-bedroom apartment/2-bedroom apartment/3-bedroom apartment My stay: 3-bedroom apartment, includes 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, and 1 living room · Pros🥰 1️⃣ Daily housekeeping🧹, with fresh towels and toiletries provided✔️ 2️⃣ Except for the studio loft, all other apartment types have a kitchen. The kitchens are fully equipped and include a dishwasher and coffee machine☕️ 3️⃣ Ample heating, and the large suites even have an open fireplace in the living room🔥 4️⃣ The hotel is a 7–10 min walk from That Wanaka Tree and a 17 min walk from the Wanaka business district🛍️ 5️⃣ Multi-bedroom suites come with a private indoor garage🚘. The room key has a remote to open it! There is a door between the garage and the living room! · Tips✍🏻 1️⃣ Remember to leave used towels on the floor or pile them up in a way that clearly shows you don't want to reuse them, otherwise the staff will assume you want to reuse them. 2️⃣ Very convenient location. You can walk to the core business district of Wanaka by strolling along the lakeshore. 3️⃣ It's a 15–17 min walk to the Wanaka skydive🪂 shuttle pickup point. 4️⃣ New Zealand beef and lamb are amazing. I booked many restaurants at first, but later canceled them. It's best to just buy fresh steak and lamb chops yourself, sprinkle some sea salt, and enjoy😋 5️⃣ The Michelin-recommended restaurant Kika in Wanaka is actually not worth it😅. There are many Western restaurants in Shanghai that can outperform it, haha... That's my take...

Peppers Bluewater Resort Currently a resort hotel under the Accor hotel group · Pros: 1️⃣ Right next to the beautiful Lake Tekapo 2️⃣ The stargazing spot, souvenir shops, and supermarket are all right across from the hotel 3️⃣ Plenty of parking at the hotel 🚘 4️⃣ Daily housekeeping 🧹 5️⃣ There’s a restaurant & bar inside the hotel 6️⃣ A 5–7 minute walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd 7️⃣ At night, step out of your room, look up, and you can see a sky full of stars ✨ 8️⃣ This is one of only two upscale resorts by Lake Tekapo. The other one is closer to the Church of the Good Shepherd, and its rooms feel a little more old-fashioned than this one 🤏🏿 My advice: book whichever one has availability, and confirm as early as possible! 9️⃣ Washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, kitchenware, and tableware are all fully equipped! · Tips: 1️⃣ There are few B&Bs, few hostels, and even fewer hotels by Lake Tekapo—and quality accommodation is even scarcer! If you want to stay by the lake (the kind of quality upscale accommodation within walking distance of the lake), you absolutely must book early and grab it fast! 2️⃣ This hotel only has 142 rooms in total, and some rooms are regularly renovated and maintained, so not all of them may be released to guests. 3️⃣ There aren’t many lake-view rooms! And not many lake-view balcony rooms! I highly recommend the “Lakeview Balcony Room” 🥰 The experience is truly amazing! 4️⃣ There are restaurants by Lake Tekapo too, but honestly, it’s better to just go to the supermarket, buy quality local beef and lamb, and cook it yourself back at the hotel! Go to the supermarket early—around 3–4 p.m., many tour groups pass by and stock up! Because many people don’t choose to stay in Tekapo and instead go to B&Bs farther away that require driving! (Why? Because Tekapo has limited accommodation, and it’s expensive!!!) 5️⃣ If you really love a peaceful, beautiful lakeside setting, I highly recommend staying in Tekapo 🩵 I personally love that quiet, uncrowded feeling! Wānaka and Queenstown are too lively at night… and even livelier during the day… Next time I go to New Zealand, I’ll definitely fly directly to Christchurch, spend a week there, and then go stay by Lake Tekapo for a week… 6️⃣ The teddy bear 🧸 at the Tekapo souvenir center is really good quality—it’s probably the most reasonably priced souvenir I bought in New Zealand! Only NZD 25🔪! There are cafés and bars over there, and it’s a little closer to the lake shoreline! #travel

October is spring in New Zealand. In the South Island, cherry blossoms and tulips are in full bloom, the grasslands are lush and green, and newborn lambs are everywhere. There is a significant temperature difference between the North and South Islands, and the weather is changeable. The key is layering, making it easy to add or remove layers as needed. Wondering how to plan your October itinerary? This guide has you covered! 🌡 Temperature guide · North Island (Auckland, Rotorua): 10–22℃, mild during the day, cool in the mornings and evenings · South Island (Queenstown, Tekapo, Mount Cook, Fiordland): 5–18℃; in mountainous areas, by the lake, and during early mornings/nights, temperatures can drop to 2–4℃, and it feels colder due to the wind ✅ Universal 3-layer clothing formula · Base layer (next to skin): Quick-dry long sleeves, merino base layers, thin long-sleeve T-shirts. These are suitable to wear alone on sunny afternoons. Avoid cotton, as it stays cold against your skin when damp · Mid layer (insulation): Thin sweatshirts, knitwear, fleece, lightweight down jackets/vests. Add these for mornings, evenings, mountain trips, or stargazing, and take them off when you get warm · Outer layer (most important): Windproof and waterproof shell jacket! The South Island's West Coast and Milford Sound often have rain showers, and there are frequent strong winds at lakesides and mountain passes. A regular windbreaker won't protect you from the cold wind and rain 👖 Bottoms · North Island: Jeans, casual trousers. You can pack a long skirt for sunny days (wear with leggings) · South Island: Trousers are preferred. Fleece-lined leggings or softshell pants are good. If you want to wear a skirt for photos, pair it with warm leggings and put on a coat immediately after 👟 Footwear 1. Non-slip, waterproof hiking shoes (a must for the South Island; trails, lakesides, and fiord tracks can be damp) 2. Comfortable casual sneakers for walking around the city 🧣 Essential accessories (very important) 1. Sunglasses + wide-brimmed hat: UV rays are very strong in spring, so don't slack on sun protection 2. Scarf and gloves: Essential for Mount Cook, late-night stargazing, and watching the sunrise in the early morning 3. Portable raincoat: More useful than an umbrella, as umbrellas can't handle strong winds 4. Lip balm, sunscreen (SPF 50+) ✂️ 7-day itinerary reference Day 1: Christchurch (Christchurch Botanic Gardens (daffodils and cherry blossoms in October)) Day 2: Christchurch – Tekapo (approx. 3h, 200km) Day 3: Tekapo – Mount Cook – Tekapo (approx. 2.5h, 200km) Day 4: Tekapo – Wanaka – Queenstown (approx. 4h, 400km) Day 5: Queenstown – Te Anau (approx. 2.5h, 200km) Day 6: Fiordland day trip, return to stay in Queenstown (approx. 6h, 400km) Day 7: Fly from Queenstown back to Christchurch / depart directly

#adventuretrips Hiking not only avoids the majority of tourists but also offers scenery that is truly unforgettable in one's lifetime! Photos 1-5📍Roys Peak in Wanaka. Highly recommend arranging a sunrise hike here! Enjoy cloud seas, snow-capped mountains, and the golden glow on the mountains all at once Photos 6-9📍Mt John Summit Circuit Track in Tekapo. You don't need to complete the entire loop; after reaching the mountain top café, continue walking downhill for another 30 minutes. The whole route is downhill, allowing you to avoid crowds and enjoy an entire expanse of grassland and snow-capped mountains alone! Photos 10-11📍Hooker Valley track in Mt Cook. Highly recommend completing all three bridges; at the end, the number of tourists significantly decreases, giving you the freedom to take photos as you wish #newzealand #outdoorhiking #wanaka #queenstown #tekapo #winterhikingplan #mountcook #recommendedhikingtrailsils
There are many types of guns, and the shooting is in the ranch area. There are many types of targets, and if you don't understand the instructions at all, you may be refused to play. I experienced playing Frisbee with rifles and shotguns. The experience of playing Frisbee is very novel, and I have never played with a shotgun. I scored 8 out of 10, and the coach praised me as a genius.

艾伦伯根石厚The scenic boardwalk winds along the south shore. There are some winding walks starting from the camping area on the lakeside, which is a great place to spend a wonderful holiday. Sailing, swimming, windsurfing and fishing are popular activities in summer. Great place.
Lavender and SunAfter my NZONE in Queenstown was canceled due to high winds, I didn't give up and switched to SKYDIVE. The weather was fantastic that day, the staff were warm and friendly, and I even chatted with strangers who were jumping from the same plane. The view from a different perspective was amazing. Because I chose the highest altitude, I was the last person to jump. But aside from being really nervous the moment I jumped, the floating experience was incredibly fun! 🥳
J Owanaka is a nice place that can travel with family . Kids and Parents will love that and the people there is so nice and friendly.
jing0lingCreated by giant glaciers 10,000 years ago, Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea sit side by side, separated by a small strip of silvery white land called The Neck. Surrounded by stunning mountains, the two lakes have beautiful pebble beaches and are a popular attraction for locals and tourists, especially during the long, warm summers.
Lavender and SunNature is really amazing. After watching the star chasers, there is a lake like this and a lonely tree. No matter how you take pictures, it looks like an oil painting. There are also towering mountains around.
tt梦幻小妖Wanaka is a place that combines snow-capped mountains and lakes, and various extreme sports and entertainment. Little did I know that in addition to this, Wanaka also has a large lavender farm. Although the time is not right, you can imagine the scene of blooming lavender.

TodemmyThe standard currency in Wanaka is NZD
Current exchange rate approx.: RUB ≈0.02NZD (actual exchange rates depend on the bank). Currency exchange tips:
1. Exchange currency at your local bank before departure, as rates are usually better than at the destination.
2. You can also withdraw cash from local ATMs.
3. Avoid exchanging currency at airports or hotels, as they offer the worst rates.
