Xu Zhimo wrote his honeymoon diary "Mei Wei Weiyu", completed the novel "Jiade", and compiled the second issue of "Poetry Magazine". The new house was still living with Xu's parents, and his ex-wife, later as his father Xu Shenru's stepdaughter Zhang Youyi, also lived in the new house.
