Near the old city center of Xiangyang's urban area, there is now a tourist attraction called the ancient city of Xiangyang, and the Tang City scenic area is also located here. This scenic area has restored some of the buildings of the ancient city, and now there are many shops inside, with both sightseeing and dining being taken care of within the attraction. At night, this place is even more beautiful, making it suitable for a night tour of the ancient city of Xiangyang. The ancient city is adjacent to the river, presenting a mix of old and new scenery.

The ancient city of Xiangyang has always been a strategic military location, coveted for its position as a key north-south thoroughfare and its defensibility, surrounded by water on three sides, making it easy to defend but hard to attack! Today, the ancient city of Xiangyang still preserves its city walls from the Ming dynasty to the present day very well. Encircling the city walls is a wide and long moat. Taking a leisurely walk along the path beside the moat around the city walls, one not only enjoys the pleasant scenery but can also still feel the atmosphere of ancient battles, making it a very worthwhile visit! However, I wouldn't highly recommend the ancient streets within the ancient city of Xiangyang, as they are mostly replica streets with no unique features. The products sold are also quite similar and lack diversity, making them less worthy of a visit!

🌆 Through the millennium road of time Stepping into Xiangyang is like traveling back to that tumultuous era. The ancient city walls stand tall, guarding this city full of stories. Walking on the city walls, you can feel the weight of history; every brick and tile tells the tale of past glories. 🍜 The Taste of Xiangyang Speaking of Xiangyang, how can we not mention the authentic beef noodles? The noodles are chewy, the beef tender, and the soup rich and savory, challenging the taste buds with every bite. In the streets and alleys of Xiangyang, you can always find a beef noodle shop that leaves you longing for more. 🏠 Accommodation Choices If you love shopping and the hustle and bustle of the city, Fancheng is your first choice. With its numerous shopping malls and convenience, the famous beef noodles of Xiangyang are also mostly concentrated here. If you prefer tranquility and a historical atmosphere, Xiangcheng might be more suitable for you. Although the hotels here are somewhat old-fashioned, that simplicity and serenity are the unique charms of Xiangyang. 🚶 Recommended Routes Starting from Xiangyang Park, take a leisurely walk to Weidong Machinery Factory and experience the romance of 'Hi, Mom'; then visit the Xiangyang Museum to converse with historical relics; pass through Xiangyang Ancient City to savor the charm of a thousand years; walk along the moat and city walls to admire the magnificent sunset; as night falls, the delicacies of Fenghua Road night market await you; visit Tang City Film and TV Base, as if traveling back to the prosperous Tang Dynasty, unexpectedly encountering scenes from 'A Dream in Red Mansions'; finally, explore the ancient Longzhong to feel the wisdom and legend of Zhuge Liang. 📷 Photo Check-in Spots Tang City Film and TV Base is a paradise for photography enthusiasts, with its majestic buildings as if truly traveling back to the Tang Dynasty. Many places in Hubei have disappointed me, but Xiangyang is definitely an exception! Although the pedestrian street in the center is not old, the designer has put his heart into it, and the building materials seem to be better, making the antique residential group and the old city wall complement each other, not abrupt at all. This city is also surprisingly clean and well managed! The mayor must be a person of taste!
