BBeglyiThe only plus is the hotel's price. It's located on the outskirts of the city, but there's a bus stop right around the corner that goes to the city center or the bus station. Both check-in and check-out are completely contactless. However, if you arrive without phone service, that's a problem, as all instructions only arrive once you're already there. The room was stuffy, the AC wasn't working, and the towels and blankets were worn out. The light in the bathroom kept flickering.

Perfect Location: Super convenient and within walking distance to Jonker Walk and Masjid Kampung Kling. There are plenty of great eateries and coffee shops right around the corner.
Beautiful & Clean: We stayed in the Garden Room, which was lovely, tidy, and very comfortable.
Charming Vibe: The heritage architecture gives the place a really wonderful, authentic character.

The unit is enough for 6 adult. Aircon work good at living room, but not at the 3 bed room. They need to fix it.
We have decent stay at the unit, towel and drinking water provided. One thing minus from the building is the Elevator, only 2 slow Elevator to provide all the unit with 26th floor.
There is one time we need to go emergency exit just to go down to the ground floor. 😅

MMeichemeifangmeiqianThis hostel is absolutely fantastic! The location is superb – super close to the Stadthuys, Jonker Street, and St. Paul's Hill. You can get here directly from Malacca Central Station by taking the M100 bus; it's about a 10-minute walk from the Hatten Hotel bus stop. The ground floor is a common area with a washing machine, dryer, kitchen, and even a media room, plus lots of cats! I stayed on the third floor this time, and you do have to carry your own luggage up, so keep that in mind if you have big bags. It's great that the bathroom, toilet, and washbasins are all on the same floor. The only minor point is that each bed only has one power outlet, which might not be enough, but there are extra outlets in the room that you can use with an adapter, so that makes up for it.

MMoshengjunThis small, Chinese-run guesthouse's biggest draw is its excellent location. It's just a short walk to numerous restaurants, shops, and Malacca's Old Town. However, the facilities are quite dated. The air conditioning in my first room kept leaking, so I had to switch rooms. The AC in the second room also didn't cool well, but I just put up with it. I figured all their rooms probably had similar issues, so changing again wouldn't make much difference. Even the bath towels were torn and frayed. Given the low price, I couldn't really be too critical. After all, you get what you pay for, haha!

Llizy0874Less than 200 RMB for two nights, and breakfast included? Can't really complain, can I? My two-night stay was great, except for the lack of TV and broken Wi-Fi. Breakfast was simple but sufficient; the freshly made omelet was pretty good. Two slices of toast with butter, a cup of coffee, and two pieces of fruit – I was satisfied. In the evenings, there were some great food stalls right outside: that Indian bread with three dips that I later found delicious and cheap in Kuala Lumpur. Across the street, there was a char kway teow stall with a queue for 7 MYR. Further down, past the traffic lights in a small alley, you could find seafood like prawns, clams, and snails. A bit further, I recommend the wanton mee run by a father and daughter; right next to it was oyster omelet. And at the end of this street, there was even curry chicken bread and coffee shops, haha.

DDew_PanatThis is my second stay here. We booked a deluxe double room and got a ground-floor room right behind the front desk. The room wasn't huge, but it wasn't cramped either; there was still enough space to sit. There were plenty of outlets, the air conditioning worked well, and there was also a fan. The room was clean and smelled good, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. In the wardrobe, there were several hangers that seemed to have been left by previous guests. The bathroom provided soap and shampoo, and the water pressure was good. There was no drinking water in the room, but you could always get water from the dispenser behind the front desk. Tea and coffee were also available.

GGuest UserThe room, while small, was very clean, just right for two people. The amenities were spotless; this is probably the cleanest hotel in Malaysia I've stayed at in terms of toiletries. The hairdryer provided was also high-end. Best of all, the staff spoke Chinese, making communication very easy, and they didn't require a deposit. I also have to praise the breakfast – it was absolutely delicious!

BBabezixiOverall, it was pretty good. It had everything we needed, and the staff were really enthusiastic. ❤️ However, the room had a slight damp smell that needs improving. Even though our room was far from the elevator, the hallway was a bit noisy in the mornings when the nannies were cleaning. The soundproofing wasn't great. 🫠
