Tongxiang Villas

We have been assigned to Room 67 under Mo Mo De Jia (默默的家)! How lucky to have such a helpful and kind owner and we truly felt the hospitality! We arrived at WuZhen at 1am (due to flight delay and long journey) and our owner still helped us with luggages in her sleepwear (we felt so sorry). Mrs owner always check on us and we felt like home. They prepared us delicious wholesome breakfast and also helped us in booking the following day's Morning Tea 早茶客 session. All the people there were so kind and one of my best experiences in China is the one in Wuzhen. The ancient town is so beautiful, enchanting and peaceful with kind people around us. Nice riverside view from our room too! Oh ya, the hair dryer in our room was awesome!

The hotel is conveniently located within short walk from shuttle stop and hotel workers helped us unload all our luggages to individual rooms. there is a bit delayed availability of one of three rooms we booked. Our room has windows opened to the river and bridge views. The breakfast had great variety of choices. Highly recommended!

Stayed at this amazing resort at the end of April for a short getaway. The moment you enter the entrance, it gives you a serene feeling. The wide entrance walks you to the reception, as a relaxing scene awaits you. The hotel itself is more on modern architecture with minimalist designs. Reception staff was very accommodating and friendly, he even upgraded our room for us to experience more the beauty of Alila, the assigned staff escorted us to our room and give us some heads up about what we can do and where to dine. Since we came around late that afternoon, we had our dinner at the Chinese restaurant. The servers were all superb. We tried some of their specialties which staff recommended and we were very satisfied. Afterward, we strolled around for some night views and fresh air. We then saw at the bar area, the singers are from Philippines (place where we came from), it gives us an urge to drop by to support and say hi. It turned out so well, they were very happy to see someone from where they came from (We were the first, according to them). We enjoyed the cocktails and ambiance so much. Our room was on the ground floor with an independent entrance and 2 private gardens. All is perfect, despite the minimalisitc designs. The breakfast buffet was served in a room facing the lake. As you're having your mouthwatering breakfast, you can enjoy the view. Overall, our stay in this zen like resort brings tranquil zones, dropping the notch of a hustle and bustle city where we used to be.

The hotel is situated around 7-10 mins walk from the Wuzhen Scenic West Gate. There are plenty of eateries around. The hotel is modern and clean, thus for those who are looking for a cleaner and comfortable place to stay instead of inside the old style scenic area, this is the place to be. However, there are two areas of improvements for the hotel. First being the variety of breakfast, it has a large spread but the items are the same if you are staying for 2 nights and having 2 consecutive breakfast. In addition, during the winter, the heater is turned on centrally thus guest unable to adjust the room temperature. At one point of the night, our room was as hot as 27.5 degrees Celsius even though the outside temperature is at zero degrees. Had to open the window to let some cool air in given that it became to hot and stuffy to sleep in.
