Clare Cottage

I honestly have nothing adverse to say about this property and its charming and helpful hostess. Our room was large, furnished to a very high standard and was exceptionally clean and tidy. The ”Garden Room” had direct access to the outside for evening relaxation. The property is a bit hidden being set back from the road amongst a group of cottages with their own parking area. House numberings are odd (229 at the low number end of the road?) but just look out for the catholic church that is on the opposite side of the road. Breakfast was faultless, high quality produce cooked well. We definitely hope to return.

The most satisfying hotel in the UK on this trip, the room is large, the layout is very warm, the Morandi color scheme is very stylish, and the bedding is very comfortable. The dining is a bit simpler.
The Kings Arms

I’m not one to usually leave reviews on places however I must say our first visit to The kings Arms on Thursday was great. We are new to Sherborne and had been recommended here by a friend, we were greeted with smiles and a lovely welcome. I can’t for the life of me remember the young girls name but she was great. she recommended the steak and beef burger to us and it was one of the best dishes me and my wife have had for a long time. Hands off the chefs they did an amazing job. Overall our experience was 11/10 and certainly will be back.
Stoneleigh Barn Bed and Breakfast

What can I say other than what a beautiful place this is. The service was superb, Rupert and Camilla are without doubt the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet and Nutmeg the little dog is just adorable. We only stayed one night as we were doing a karting event but have already decided that we will visit again in the future! Rupert welcomed us on arrival, took our bags to our room and gave us a little tour of the B and B, our room had been heated so it was toasty on arrival and Rupert provided us with a flask of fresh milk for our coffee rather than the UHT milk which is norm for other properties. We were eating out and Rupert kindly booked a table for us at the local pub and even gave us directions on how to get there….very kind. Room was spotless, beautifully decorated with nice comfortable furniture and a really comfortable bed, we slept like logs! Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, plenty of choice, great quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, hosts were extremely attentive ensuring we had enough to eat and drink. All in all our stay was fantastic, thank you so much Rupert and Camilla and of course Nutmeg too! We’ll be back again! Wayne & Jo.
Half Moon, Sherborne by Marston's Inns

There is no elevator in the guest room on the third floor. The handsome customer service guy helped to lift the big box up and down. The service was good. There is parking lot. The location is the core area of the town, and you can walk anywhere, including the train station. Diagonally opposite is the famous cathedral. The architecture is very style. The restaurant downstairs is connected to the bar, which is very lively at night. This is a foreign social platform. Basically many foreign beds are relatively narrow. It is said that the weapon was put under the bed in the age of knights, and it was immediately reachable from which side it was taken out. I don't know if this is a legend. In short, we didn't bring weapons, so the space under the bed was not used.

A superb hotel in every way. Room very well appointed and bed really comfortable. Everything spotlessly clean and the staff most helpful and friendly. The ground floor room was very good as I have severe mobility problems. The food was first clsss with lots of choice.
