Matsushima Ichinobo

The two prospect hot springs on the fifth floor are top-notch! Men and women rotate in the morning and afternoon. There is also a hot spring on the first floor with massage services. Massage is not recommended. The sofa area on the third floor overlooks Matsushima and offers a variety of free drinks and snacks. Very relaxing area. 40 minutes of free karaoke can be reserved before 8 pm, and there are Chinese songs to choose from. The hotel is directly connected to the glass pavilion next to it, and you can visit it for free with your room card. Bicycle rental is free. Breakfast and dinner are very rich and delicious. Dinner is a buffet of 11,000 yen per person including tax. There are also many choices of drinks and wines. The oyster rice and chestnut cake are especially recommended for dinner. The sanitation of the hotel is very good, and the attitude of the service staff is also good. The hotel provides free bus transfers between Songdo Station and Songdo Coast Station. You can check the timetable on the hotel website, which usually coincides with the train schedule.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews before staying, but I trusted the cute appearance and stayed there, and I was very satisfied! It's true that you can hear the conversations and noises from next door, but as long as you are considerate of each other and behave morally, there is no problem. There were also foreigners staying there that day, but they were very well-mannered and there were no particular problems. The front desk staff at the reception were also very kind and polite, which I liked. There are four showers, three trays, two sinks and two hair dryers, and one washing machine. The common area is equipped with a counter table and chairs, tableware such as cups and plates, a frying pan, a cooking counter, and a refrigerator, so the common area is well-equipped and can be used without any stress. Before checking out, each person puts their sheets and towels in a collection bag in a designated place. There was an explanation that an extra fee will be charged if you check out after the check-out time, so I was a little impatient until I cleaned up, but to give an idea of it, it feels like staying at a friend's house and being given a room. After checking in, I was given the key, and I was able to stay at my own pace without being bothered by anyone and was very comfortable. There was a facility nearby that offered a day spa and dinner buffet, so I used that, and stayed here as if I was staying overnight without meals. There was a 7-Eleven just a 2-3 minute walk away, so it was very convenient. The exterior and interior were stylish and comfortable. I regret that I was unable to use the cafe on the day and couldn't eat the cheesecake, but I will definitely use it again if I come to Matsushima again! I have one request, but there are rare cases where people don't notice unless you write a notice. I think it would be good if they put up a sign saying ”Please clean up any hair that falls into the drain or on the floor when using the bath or sink” and provided a simple trash can in the bathroom and a mop by the sink, so that everyone would be more considerate of each other and make an effort to keep things clean. Overall, I am very satisfied.

I took a spacious suite room and stayed in 4 name. The room is also spacious and the view of Matsushima from the room is the best. Especially, I was very satisfied to see the Asahi rising from the sea from the room. For night dishes, I asked for a course where each item can choose. You can choose your favorite dishes such as sake party and wine lover, and all the dishes were delicious. Especially, there are plenty of local sake in Shiogama, so I think it's good for sake lovers. The view was good and I was able to take a slow bath with both the bath and the open-air bath. The cosmetics in the room were also very satisfying with Mikimoto's cosmetics. I was very satisfied with the inn where I could enjoy five senses.

Stayed for family trip in the prefecture. I was happy to have two children in the room with a wide 々 with a veranda. The view from the veranda was also very good! I was very grateful to have beds attached in advance and prepare extra beds for children. There was a bed for 1 people, but I slept with everyone in a big bed, but I could sleep well even if there were bad children (laughs) The meal was very delicious. The seafood of BBQ was luxurious and surprised! Cospa is the best! I'm worried if I'm not mistaken for other guests (laughs) The children were crazy about bone sausage and big shrimp fry! The rental bath was good. I thought it was smart and good to stick a seal at the time of hope. It was a half hour, and I thought it would be good to have a little longer. I want to go again! Thank you for your help.
Matsushima Century Hotel

By private car: Located about 25 km from Sendai and Ishinomaki along Route 45, and about 100 km from Kesennuma. By train: About 20 minutes on foot from Matsushima Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line, or Matsushima Kaigan Station on the JR Senseki Line. It takes about 15 minutes on foot from the station. Within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, there is Fukuura Bridge (a pier to Fukuura Island), a sightseeing boat dock, and Zuiganji Temple, making it a base for sightseeing in Matsushima. The hotel building faces the national highway, but the entrance is in the back of the alley on the sea side from the national highway, so if you follow the tourist guidebook, you can reach the hotel without any problems. The building is located between the coastline and the national highway along the cliff, so it has a slightly complicated structure and there are differences in elevation, but there is almost always a slope installed where there is a step. The interior is barrier-free. The hotel itself has a long history and the exterior of the building still feels old, but the interior is kept clean and the single rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is also a large public bath and an open-air bath, and Matsushima Onsen is a relatively new natural hot spring that was mined after 2000, and the bath has two temperature levels (there is also a sauna, but due to various circumstances, currently on hiatus). This time we arrived in Sendai late at night on the Shinkansen, so it was only a breakfast plan, but the breakfast buffet has a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, and some of the tables are partitioned so you can relax without worrying about your surroundings. good. Even though I checked in late at night, they kindly waited on me, such as issuing coupons, and the free drink bar for guests was open in the lobby until around 21:00, which was very helpful. Hotels around Sendai Station are particularly expensive these days, so I felt that it was the best hotel for business purposes besides sightseeing because it was possible to stay at a reasonable price with a large communal bath and dinner and breakfast.

Lots to love in the town of Matsushima, Miyagi Prefecture. 1.5 hours N of Tokyo, Sendai Shinkansen stop. This hotel was very conveniently located next to the local train station. Has elevator. Rooms fit 4 for sleeping on futon/tatami mats. Pluses: traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were worth the experience! Hot Spring/bath area was clean (older but ok). Rooms equipped with tea service and instructions. Very close to all the action in town. Coffee machine with cappuccino and espresso in lobby. Potential opportunities: absolutely no one speaks English. Pantomime and google translate resolved successfully. Serious minus of the hotel is the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, particularly common areas. Non smoking room not available. That all said, I’d stay there again for location and food. I’d open the window wider. Staff was delightful and very gracious.
