Lovely pension, great place to relax after a day of skiing. Private rooms, shared bathroom, very warm, inviting, relaxed atmosphere. Don't expect a hotel, but more of a community atmosphere. Breakfast included, free internet available on-site. The hearty breakfasts served at 8AM generally filled us up enough to only stop for light lunches during the day. Yama-san also gives a daily snow report each morning during breakfast, and also gave us a great recommendation for a spot to check out on Annupuri to catch some good scenery, even though the days we were visiting didn't get much fresh powder. We also enjoyed the dinner one evening (Yama-san operates a Nepali restaurant for a few hours in the early evening, its worth stopping by if you enjoy whats on the menu). There is a nice onsen just down the road (walking distance), ask about a discount - in general, Yama-san will help you find whatever it is you're looking for in Niseko, including transportation in the mornings to Annupuri. Parking is available on-site as well. Note that this property is not suitable for children, but great for friends, couples, or solo travelers.
Freeride Backpackers Lodge Niseko

This hostel was very clean. They did a good job every day with it. The staff are friendly and inviting. It can get loud in the evening if the guests are partying, but that’s to be expected in a hostel right? The facilities were better than average. As for location it does feel a bit out of the way when going into town and busses stop at 20:00. It is ski in but not ski out. Regardless, a stones throw from the Niseko United shuttle so it’s manageable. Some thoughtful critics: power outlets and privacy curtains in the dorms would go a long way. I think there is an opportunity to improve the shuttle service provided by the lodge . Given the lodge’s relative isolation, reliable shuttle service would greatly improve the experience. Currently it is loosely Ad-hoc at best.

The information at checkin is clear, and he patiently introduces the facilities in detail to foreigners who have difficulty communicating. The room price is acceptable, and there is free Netflix to watch. I like it very much. I will stay a few more days next time!
Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

We went during winter as it is the best season to visit Niseko but what makes our trip exceptionally memorable is this hotel that we can call our 'home' during our 5-night stay in December 2023. The room is exceptionally comfortable and clean but what stands out is the superb hospitality and service from the hotel's team. From the moment we checked in, the Front Office team was very welcoming (shout out to Kiel, Ryoka and the whole team) including the amiable and helpful hotel manager, Ms. Yolande (who took her time to welcome us and have a brief chat). Yolande even made sure to greet the guests every morning as we all walked to the restaurant for breakfast. It is the little things like this that make the difference. And thank you for all the tips and advice which was very very helpful.. During our stay, we were very comfortable and enjoyed the whole winter at Niseko's experience, especially returning to our cosy hotel and room after a long day exploring the small town. Thanks to the housekeeping team who always kept the room in the best condition (I think they make up the room a minimum of two times a day) - I didn't manage to get your names but your work is highly appreciated. On top of that, we always look forward to going for breakfast every morning as the menu prepared is of excellent quality - serving the best produce from Hokkaido like snow king crab. The team at the restaurant deserves much praise. Shoutout to the team (Goong, Korn, Ploy, Nut, Riko and Kristina). Thank you for your warm hospitality and the little conversations we had. I have lots of fond memories during my stay here and I look forward to coming back again real soon and seeing the familiar faces I've met on this trip.

It was my first time in Niseko, but thanks to the information about the ski resorts, I was able to enjoy it without any major mistakes. The room was warm and the bed was comfortable. The water area was shared, but it was clean. The food tasted good and it seemed to be prepared with great care.
Niseko White Villas I

This place is really beautiful. The single-family villa is really comfortable compared to other hotels in Niseko. The kitchen utensils are very complete. I bought seafood and meat and cooked my own food in the evening. The pick-up and drop-off appointments we made with the housekeeper were all on time and very polite. The heater in the room is really warm. I want to know what brand it is 🤣 When I woke up in the morning, it was covered with powdery snow. It was really beautiful. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Annupuri. The Annupuri ski resort is also good, suitable for novices, and also has advanced trails.
