The hotel is located directly opposite the Arnhem Railway Station, and it is especially convenient to travel to other places. There are many restaurants, bakeries, famous food supermarkets in the Netherlands along the street downstairs, so life is also quite convenient. By the way, if you arrive at Arnhem by train for the first time, remember to go out to the underground floor. The two of us stupidly picked up our luggage and chose to take the elevator up and out of the station. As a result, we looked at the train station and the hotel. We walked around a big circle and actually went down the station. Go to the train station gate, the hotel is 100 meters from the gate If the hotel of the same grade is in Amsterdam, the price will be more than double. We consider working near Arnhem the next day, so we still choose to stay in Arnhem. The money saved is used for transportation and more than enough to eat a big meal. If you go to Amsterdam, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station in 1 hour, and there is a corresponding train to Schiphol Airport. The breakfast at the hotel was very delicious and the mattress was very comfortable... Overall, we were quite satisfied.

We arrived about midnight 9thmay to attend our brothers funeral 6 of us two others previous booked earlier that day. I had booked through there main reservation number agreed the price only to be hit with city tax which I had asked did we have to pay at the time of booking and no was the reply told the receptionist and she said we must pay as she hadn’t been told otherwise,asked if we wanted to book breakfast for €17 after a long day I said we will see in the morning and her reply was it might be slightly dearer then. We decided in the morning we would just go for breakfast only to be told €21 pretty shocking ok we’ll go in very sp**** breakfast my brother in law asked for sausage as there were none left they were not happy very poor service he did eventually get them by that time no egg left same again. Certainly will not ever use this hotel the communication between staff no good either we booked a 6 seater for our early departure on Sunday morning, morning staff new nothing of it

Just a short (thankfully downhill) walk from the railway station (extensive rail and bus services give easy access to almost anywhere in the Netherlands) the hotel is an even shorter walk from the north bank of the Nederrijn with its shady walks and numerous restaurants. Very handy as there is no restaurant at any IHG Express. As I arrived mid-morning the room was not ready but the staff (more about them later) were happy to store my case until I returned that afternoon (and again after checkout before leaving on an afternoon train). The room itself was a good size with a large comfortable bed, a functional desk and chair and a comfortable chair. Air conditioning kept the temperature stable and the lighting was good - not the ”fashionable” near darkness of some. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Coffee and tea available. Breakfast is the only meal offered and is a fairly basic standard european offering. Meats, eggs and cheeses were adequate, yoghurt good, fresh fruit salad very good indeed. Coffee was machine provided and good with a variety of offerings. No hot options (standard with the Express brand) and I did not try any of the other cold choices. Although fairly centrally located with easy access to shops and all the usual facilities and infrastructure the room was quiet and peaceful. An Albert Heijn mini-supermarket opposite attracted small groups in the evening but was not a bother - indeed very useful for an occasional small purchase. All standard and as expected for the brand so why mark it excellent? I will come back to the staff who were unfailingly excellent - helpful, cheery and friendly (though never less than professional) and recognised me by the end of day 1. A credit to the hotel and its management. This is now my first choice when next in the vicinity

We had a lovely stay. The staff were very welcoming. The assistant manager Prosha really looked after us. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable the restaurant staff were very accommodating. Frederique looked after us well. The food was really good. I would highly recommend.

The layout of the room we stayed in was very unreasonable. It looked quite big. There was no place to let go. After two days of heating, the heating was not warm. They responded to the front desk of four shifts. Everyone’s attitude was not bad. No one has solved the problem, and some people have said to me, ”I don't feel cold, how can you be cold?”... You are Iron Man, I am probably a normal human, because I feel cold at 4 degrees...

Was there for business, and i'm in total very pleased, free parking is always nice. It is time to refresh the room i had, however, when working I'm do not care, need a good bed thats it. Good restaurant with nice staff, supportive front desk arranged Iron asap, and called me to inform of some left goods.

The breakfast is a little bit worse. The overall feeling of the accommodation is very good. The old building is behind the train. But the windows are very soundproof. I will come back next time. It is convenient to go around, about 1.5 km from Cologne and 15 minutes walk.

I cannot recommend Hotel Modez highly enough. This is the third time our group have stayed here and I have never been disappointed. Over the past three years, I have been in regular communication with the Hotel, and their assistance in arranging the trip for our group of 30 was flawless, always a timely ,courteous and pleasant response. Not only did they assist me in organising the stay at the hotel, but they went above and beyond and made our trip extra special by arranging transport for us, which I was finding particularly difficult from my base in Australia. Every staff member is super friendly and courteous, the hotel is in a great location, the rooms are immaculate, and the breakfast is fresh and tasty.
